I received this book from a giveaway on goodreads.
This was adorable and something my nieces would really enjoy. I noticed the pictures were black and white drawings perfect for the child with crayons and itchy fingers. The author created a lovely world and characters.

this is a good read. i recommend this book for ages 7 and up my favorite part was when Kiki figures out that her vision wasn't right and that her friend was okay . My favorite characters are Shelly Siren and Echo Reef. I hope this inspired you to read this book.

Kiki can see into the future, but is that a good thing? She sees a classmate in trouble and tries to stop it but what she does actually causes the problem!
Debbie Dadey has a great kid-friendly writing style that really gets the reader into the story. Her mermaid world is fun and the characters are believable and you want to know more about them. Her books also have a great message to them. This one warns of the dangers of leaving plastic bags in the ocean because they look like jelly fish to sea turtles. These books are geared towards girls but there are merboy characters in the books that boys will like too. I recommend this book and series to independent readers or kids looking for a fun read!

there was a visit. after school, Kiki had a vision. a scary one. the next recess, Kiki told rocky he could
not go to school tomorrow. but, rocky said no. the next day, Kiki told rocky that there was a gift for
marlin. but, Kiki's idea didn't work. rocky came back and said ''there is no gift for marlin.'' just then,
marlin's head whacked a huge chandelier, and the glowing jellyfish flew off, several plopping on to
mrs. karp's head. plop! plop! plop! mrs. hippocampus tried to hold the chandelier and then there was a bubble of drama. Since bubbles are a little dangerous when there are too many, Marlin, instead of crushed Rocky, saved him. Yay!

I entered to win an ARC of Dream of the Blue Turtle with my 7 year old niece in mind. I am hoping to introduce her to her first chapter books and the fun of reading outside of school assignments. I was really pleased with this book. I felt it was age appropriate and it was a fun and innocent tale. I felt sort of silly reading a children’s book on my break at work, but it kept my attention and I swept through it quickly, eager to find out what happens to Rocky! Thinking of buying her the whole set!

My daughter read this, but not me. She loved it (and I ordered all the other ones from this series and she liked them too). We found more inspiration for appropriate books for her (she's 5, but reads well above her level)... she enjoyed the candy fairies which was in the back of the book as similar.

If I was in the book I would love it but when I was reading it I did not like it because I got bored. This book would be perfect for 5th graders. This book is about a turtle.
