Kendall can see ghosts and she helps them move on in the after life. She continues doing so in this book as well. She has a busy life now as she is dating Brandon along with the usual ghost business.
Brandon's mother visits her and she doesn't know why. I loved Kendall in the first book and I love her still. She finds out that she has this gift/powers and is trying to figure out how to balance her life with her gift and also trying to come to terms with her father's dating life.
A very fun read with lots of laughter and feel good moments.

A tween age girl that can see and talk to ghosts – yes, it always does make for an interesting read. This is the second book in the Girl Meets Ghost series, and we pick right back off with Kendall Williams in exactly the same place we left off in the first book. Kendall has a major crush on Brandon Dunham, whose mom is a ghost and doesn’t want Kendall around. Not to mention Kendall bumps into a completely new ghost, Lyra, while wandering around a new salon that just opened up. Between dealing with her ghosts, her dad getting serious with his new girlfriend, and her best friend thinking she has lost her mind, Kendall just doesn’t know what to do!
Kendall is a witty and sassy character for someone as young as she is. She always has witty comebacks and never misses a beat. She is not a perfect character, and I love that she is still coming into her gift of being able to talk to ghosts. She hasn’t quite got it all figured out yet, but that is part of the beauty of reading and watching her grow up. I love that she is balancing more than one ghost again in this book, just like the first one. I am still not sure about Brandon’s mom, or how I feel about Brandon and Kendall’s relationship. I am just partial to Kendall and don’t want to see her hurt.
I love how the other characters in this series are playing a bigger part in the story this time around. Her dad is getting serious with Cindy, and Kendall’s best friend is starting to question her odd habits, like talking to herself all the time, a little more. Not to mention the new characters that have been added to the story, not only Lyra but her obnoxious brother as well. As always, I am impressed with Barnholdt’s ability to keep me wrapped up in a story. I love her writing, and whether it’s directed at the YA audience or middle grades, you will always find me reading her stories!

We get to know Kendall even better in this second book in the series!
Problems abound with her friends from Kendall's helping the newest ghost (these ghosts all seem incredibly selfish). Brandon's mom (ghost) is still around and causing trouble in the real world for Kendall.

Poor Kendall. It is hard enough to be a tween, but she sees ghosts, including the ghost of her maybe-boyfriend's mother. Life doesn't get much harder than that, but at least she has plenty of money for manicures.

Such a cute book! This was in a donation box that came to our school, we'll be sending it over to the middle school. I'm getting the 1st book in the series from an out of state library on loan, our local public library has the 3rd book. I can't wait to read it!

Although in this book, a lot of problems spring with Brandon and Kendal and her friends, it’s intense to read at those times but still a very good teen fiction book.

12-year-old Kendall Williams can see dead people. In fact, they seek her out. She has the ability to help them pass on, but she can't tell anyone about it. They'll think she's crazy. When Kendall and her best friend Ellie try out a new salon for a manicure, Kendall meets Lyra, who is dead, but apparently has some unfinished business. Lyra’s brother Micah is a manicurist at the salon, and is very cute, but Kendall has a boyfriend, Brandon. Brandon’s mother has also passed away and won’t leave Kendall alone. She doesn’t want her son and Kendall involved, and this ghost has some scary abilities.
This is book 2 in the Girl Meets Ghost series, but Barnholt does a great job of filling in the reader with just enough to continue the story without giving anything away. The reader will want to go back and read book 1. A delightful story; funny, suspenseful, it bit scary but nothing gory, and just enough romance.

In this second installment of Girl Meets Ghost, Kendall is still dealing with Mrs. Dunham--her boyfriend's dead mother-- and she doesn't know why Mrs. Dunham wants her to stay away from Brandon. On top of that, Kendall's father has become involved with Cindy and Kendall is not so happy about it. Being a middle schooler who sees ghosts is causing Kendall a great deal of trouble. I am happy that I have stumbled upon this series...

I enjoyed this book very much! I was surprised by how strongly attached I became to Kendall and her problems with her best friend, Ellie, and her boyfriend, Brandon. I was very disappointed in the cliffhanger ending because the new book just came out yesterday! This is a great trilogy for fans of Boys Are Dogs and Girls Acting Catty series.

I think this book was really good and it was surprising and it just keep me reading and i did not want to stop reading and at the end it was shocking that she went to go and seen her mom and Brandon doesn't believe her and he is mad that she said she can see ghost and that she can she his dead mom.

I liked it as much as the first one, but the cliffhanger ending was even stronger. Not pleased about that.
