Full of interesting facts. Illustrations are humorous, but not realistic. My kids enjoyed this book. Not sure how much info they actually retained.

I thought that this would work for my storytime, and it might if I had all older kids. Since, I have as Family storytime program that is open to all ages, I'm going to pass.

P.s. Fun book with illustrations that kids will like. It would be a good choice for my blog.

Chicken's Don't Fly: and other fun facts is a great informational text for the classroom. The illustrations will have children laughing, but the information is really enlightening! There were many things I did not even know about some of the animals in the book! These "Did You Know?" books are a great tool for teaching students about informational text, and how to pull information that it interesting!

Each spread shows goofy cartoony pictures of the featured animals in human situations that convey the traits being discussed. For example, the falcon is the fastest animal, being able to dive at 200 miles per hour through the air, and he is drawn in a pilot's helmet and goggles. The animal facts are interesting, some common and some more obscure.

I’m excited to recommend this new series to kids who love truly fun facts about animals! The vibrant and colorful illustrations add another level of enjoyment. If those weren’t enough, they cram more information at the end of the books!

Bookaday #6. Engaging cartoony illustrations for all sorts of random, lesser known facts about animals. Nice transitions between animals and pages. CIP informations promises bibliography but there isn't one in the book.

Fun facts about a wide variety of animals with Saturday-morning cartoon type illustrations that will attract kids. Half the fun is seeing how the authors segue into the next page.
