"Love Bite (Darkwood Manor Series)" by Khelsey Jackson is the second in the series about young Vampire Vampire at her new boarding school. In this instalment there is more plot, more tension and a few surprises.
Since the problematic constellation between the main characters has been established in the first book, it now unfolds in a fateful way with all its well presented implications for the characters.
Jackson introduces more intriguing characters, such as a twin brother, and moves this short sequel at a very fast pace which makes for some very compelling and entertaining reading. Now I am hooked.

I read this book too fast! Lol I loved it and can't wait for the next. Even though it's a short read it is packed with amazingness. I love vampire love stories (paranormal romance). In this book the next event can not be determined, what you think will happen does not & something that you never expected does. I love how she has someone to help her out when she needs it.
I am left with one question though,
Are there any openings at Darkwood? Lol
Great job Khelsey!!

Another quick, but thrilling read. I enjoyed what happened in this one, thought Hunter was a bit much to wrap my head around. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with Jason and Victoria in the next installment!

Although the story was still short, I liked where Ms. Jackson took you in this story. The one thing I would've liked to know was what/who Alexander was.

I loved the first book, so when I found out that there was going to be another book I was excited!! I love this author's writing. I never get bored when I read Khelsey Jackson's writing. Her stories make me laugh and cry! Khelsey Jackson's you love making me cry, don't you?

In this second part of Darkwood Manor, Victoria feels broken after what happened with Jason. She can't believe she fell in love with a hunter, and worse? She has to see him everyday knowing that they can't be together. After a twist of events Victoria finds out lies and secrets that have been kept from her. But, along the way, she gains some new friends and allies. Will Jason and Victoria overcome years of hate and prejudice? Will they find their happily ever after? And most importantly, how far will they go to be together?

Loved this story! So much suspense! I was sitting on the edge of my sit wondering about what was going to happen next. This book made me cry, a few times actually, but I loved that it did. I loved all the characters, especially Hunter. He was hilarious!! I can't wait to read more from this author! A must read! I recommend to everyone!

Some of my favorite quotes (Might contain some spoilers if you haven't read the book.)

“Hunter, I am your father,” Hunter said in a Dark Vader voice, and I bit my bottom lip to stop myself from laughing.

“You know it isn’t just your blood I want, it’s your heart.” Jason smiled down at me. “You silly girl, you already have my heart.”

met. “I know that I dream about you, and when I closed my eyes it’s you I see. I don’t want to know what life would be like if I didn’t know you. I was cold and alone, you came and showed me that I could opened up. I want you and I don’t care that you’re a vampire.”

When I read the first book, it was so amazingly sweet, I could hardly wait to read this book. Picks up where the first book left off. A werewolf attacks Victoria. Jason tries to help Victoria by giving some of his blood to her. But being he is a hunter his blood starts to kill her. Victoria has to turn to a human for help. The only one she knows that will help her is Nathan. Through vampire blood there's lust that comes with it. Nathan acts like an human would when a vampire feeds from them. Nathan is confused at what he was feeling for Victoria from her feeding. He turned angry and calls her a monster. Victoria's heart is breaking. She might have lost her best friend. Victoria's world is changing fast. She finds out she has a twin brother. Her friend is upset with her. Her Jason/boyfriend is having conflict feelings about them being together. A Hunter and A Vampire. If that's not enough to break her. Victoria's dad comes for a visit. Scared as she is, Jason goes with her and takes his silver dagger along. Revenge is long over due. Jason gets thrown up against a wall. Bones cracking. Hunter, her brother, tells her she has to make a decision whether to turn Jason. I love how this book ends. The perfect ending.

“Love Bite” picks up right where “First Bite” ended. Victoria is trying to deal with her relationship with Jason after finding out he is a vampire hunter. The vampire hunter she fell in love with and he handed her heart back to her on a silver platter. She learns that her mother has been keeping a secret from her. A secret that her mother drops on her, and then leaves her to deal with. Victoria is now dealing with the secret, an ex-boyfriend, her best friend and her father. When her dad shows up all hell breaks loose and she is left with the choice of watching the love of her life die or saving him. “Love Bite” is a fast and exciting read that will be impossible to put down once you’ve started reading it. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a fast paced and exciting romance paranormal read.

I received a free e-copy of this book from the writer, this has in no way influenced the outcome of this text.

After the first part of the series First Bite, I got to know the main characters and expected to find how the story goes on. Well, it does go on, but for my taste some of the developments were a bit too fast and too hastily written. Some of them are still logical (like the father of the Victoria), some of them seem to be necessary to get the right angle in the storyline, but miss some deeper development.

But even with those small problems, I still feel good with giving it a 4* review as I really liked the book and the way it went.

Now waiting for the next part to come out to see how the story between Victoria and Jason continues.

Love Bite by Khelsey Jackson

rating 5*****

This book was provided by the author in exchange for honest Literary Review.

Victoria's life has been turned upside down ever since stepping foot on the property at Darkwood Manor. Her fangs are dying to drain her boyfriend because his blood calls to her. To beat it all, he can't be with her now because he is a vamp hunter. What are the odds?
This is a great story. It reads fast, and kind of reminds you of an episode of Charmed meets Facts of Life. I love the characters, and the plot twists are just crazy. I love this author's other series and I didn't think it could be topped. However, it is just as good. I am a sucker for vampires anyhow, all puns intended.
A definite recommemed read for ages 14+, and I cannot wait till the next installment comes out.

I was given this book by the author in return for an honest review.

I loved the first book but I think I loved this one even more.Although this is a short story it was certainly packed with a bit of everything.
The discovery that Victoria had a twin brother was quite shocking, especially as he is almost the complete opposite of her.
An the fact that she has to turn Jason from a "Hunter" to a "Vampire" was a twist I didn't see coming.
I truly cannot wait to read the next instalment to see what in store for them all!!!!

As alway's Khelsey Jackson has delivered yet another FANTASTIC READ!!! :)

I liked the first short I read by this author.

Amazingly enough I can see the growth this author has in her books between these two stories.

In the first short she set the stage for the introduction of the first three main protagonists and in this one she builds on that and introduces new characters
I would have liked to know who and why Alexander has been introduced since the author has a purpose with all her characters but I assume I will find out soon enough once I read more penned by
this author.

Episode 2 of this Serial begins at the exact point where First Bite lefft off. There are tons of twists and surprises, though I think my favorite new surprise may just be Hunter! I do hope there will be more of him in future episodes.
There are quite a bit of unexpected surprises waiting in this episode that will leave the reader slack jawed and bug eyed,
I didn't find any errors in this book.
I hope to see more episodes soon so I can continue to follow Victoria, Nathan, Kenny, Jason, and now Hunter's little adventure at Darkwood Manor.
I give this book 5 of 5 paws

Love Bite
Darkwood Manor #2

Starting off where First Bite ends, this book dives straight into action. It’s a quick read, but it doesn’t feel like it when reading as there is so much going on. Never one for a boring life, Victoria is thrown through more twists and turns and the introduction of Hunter just made the book for me – I can’t wait to see where that is going to lead. This series is getting better and better.

Love Bite (Darkwood Manor Series) By Khelsey Jackson starts off at a fast pace and keeps the reader entertained in this second installment in the series.
Love Bite is a thrilling and I read straight through turning page after page and wanting more.
The storyline has grown with more characters, like a surprise twin brother for one. A dad enters the picture, and who is Alexander? Vampires, Werewolves, Hunters, all wrapped into a great story.
With all these exciting events happening in this second installment, once again I can't wait for the next one.

Victoria and Jason’s complicated relationship is put through some trials that may prove to be too much to keep them together.Victoria is Vampire and Jason is a Hunter.Yeap,I'd say that is a major complication that can put a kink in a relationship. Love Bite starts where First Bite ends and they must come to grips with the shocking truth that they are born enemies.Emotional roller coaster of twists from meeting a sibling you didn't know you had to your dad and your boyfriend trying to kill each other. Is their love strong enough to overcome everything that comes their way?

If you are looking for a quick read just to pass the day then this is the book to go for. I gave it 3 stars due to the huge amount of grammatical errors. I feel the story was rushed and had room for way more developement than the author took time to put into it. There were so many holes in the story that needed filled. Charachters just pop up with very little introduction and u don't have any time to bond with any of them before the story just ends. I would like to see it redone with a lot morr time given to develope the story and I would read again.

This series should be read in order. Victoria, a vampire, is still trying to come to terms with her love for Jason, a vampire hunter. However her mom has quite the suprise for her! Then dear old dad stops by and changes the course of their lives forever. This is a great quick read to keep you entertained. WaAR
