"I just love her work." --Victoria Christopher Murray

In this page-turning new novel from Essence(R) bestselling author Tiffany L. Warren, Atlanta's most eligible widower isn't looking to remarry--but for one woman, that's a mere detail. . .

Five years after his beloved wife's death, wealthy Quentin Chambers still hasn't returned to the church or his music ministry. Even his home is now devoid of music, and without his attention, Quentin's five children are getting out of control--until his mother steps in and hires him a live-in nanny. Montana is pretty, compassionate, church-going, and even has a beautiful singing voice. The children take to her right away, and soon enough Quentin finds his heart opening to faith--and love--once more. But not everyone loves Montana. . .

A "friend" of Quentin's first wife, Chloe has been scheming to become the next Mrs. Chambers since the funeral. Chloe is convinced she's just one seduction away from a marriage proposal. Now she'll do whatever it takes to get rid of Montana--including blackmail, theft--and digging up a troublemaking man from Montana's past. But Chloe forgets she's got secrets of her own, and the tables may turn with a twist she never sees coming. . .

This book right here…this brings that meat and potatoes to dinner! First off, lemme say that around chapter 12 or 13 or so, I THOUGHT I knew how the story was going to play out. Now, I knew the gist of it...of course, but I thought it’d be just an easy peasy…run of the mill type deal. Wrong..wrong WRONG! So anyway…let’s hop to it.

Let’s meet Chloe. This heffa here…(that’s what you’re going to say). Who goes to someone’s funeral to meet that person’s husband? Yeah…This chick…Chloe shows up at the funeral of the wife of Quentin Chambers…claiming to be an old friend. Scheming self…All she sees is dollar signs. See…Mr. Chambers is nearly a billionaire. Yup…and Chloe has her heart set on becoming the new Mrs. Chambers.

Now…fast forward five years and we see Quentin dating…YES DATING Chloe. Five years…and no ring…whatchusay now?! Lol…Poor thing…

Well now. Chloe and Quentin are actually fine in their own little way until…Quentin’s mom decides that Quentin’s kids need a nanny of sorts. Enter Montana…sweet…loves Jesus…Montana. Something happens the first time Quentin lays eyes on her. Oh em gee…time for a change!! BUT WAIT…what about Chloe? Well..you’re just going to need to read it. Montana is doing her best to stay saved. But that doggone Quentin Chambers….HE CAN GET IT! (oh wait…that’s me…)…but there’s chemistry there. Everyone knows it…including Chloe…and trust me…she is NOT having it…This girl will stop at NOTHING…you’ll see it but you won’t believe it.

But…wouldn’t you know…that there’s an opportunity for ministry here? There’s a message for you…yes YOU in this book. Tiffany has woven together a story that entertains and encourages. I feel Montana in her plight to stay strong in her faith. I love that these are real people. People like me!

It’s been five years since Quentin Chambers' wife, Chandra died. Her loss is still felt daily. Though it appears that he’s moved forward, Quentin is still very angry with God, and as a result, he’s so busy trying to live, that his children usually get lost in the mix. Estelle, his mother, has tried to keep the kids on the right track. Unfortunately she realizes that she’s going to need a little more help in that department.

Chloe and Quentin have been together for five years. While she loves the privileges that she’s afforded as Quentin’s girlfriend, she's looking for that walk down the aisle. Not overly fond of his living situation, she’s certain there’s a boarding school for the kids and that her mother-in-law to be will just fall by the wayside.

When Estelle informs Quentin that she’s hiring a nanny, he doesn’t seem to think the kids need a nanny. But when he meets Montana Ellis, a sister from the church, he and the children seem to welcome her right in. Sparks seem to fly between Quentin and Montana. But this is a job that Montana needs and he’s involved with Chloe.

Chloe’s bells and whistles are alerting her to the danger that Montana can be to her relationship. She’s certain that Estelle has something up her sleeve. When she suggests that she and Estelle work in conjunction to plan a benefit for Quentin’s favorite charity, her intentions are to make Montana and ally against Estelle. But what she soon realizes is that she’s battling a much stronger battle.

THE REPLACEMENT WIFE by Tiffany L. Warren was a good read. I liked the title, the cover and the characters. I was in and fully invested from start to finish. As with Warren's stories, her music lulls you as her writing continues to entertain. I would LOVE to see these characters in the future with a focus on Reese or Emoni.

I liked this one! Typically, I'm not a fan of Christian fiction, as the books are sometimes preachy - and there's no sex (judge me all you must). Technically, I should have hated this book, but I enjoyed it so much that hating it was out of the question. Montana was a sweetheart, Estelle and Ms. Levy were a mess, the kids were a trip, and that damn Chloe...SMH. She was truly one of those love to hate characters. Deirdre redeemed herself I. The end, but she was close to achieving Chloe status with me. The whole Reese situation was unexpected, but I'm guessing that potentially another book will come out of it.

I couldn't quite figure out how I felt about Quentin. I loved what he was doing with Transitions, but how it took him 5 years to see through Chloe just bewildered me. Anyway, I'm glad he got free of that bird and is getting his life, and his relationship with his kids back on track.

I've already bought The Replacement Husband. Can't wait to see what Tiffany L. Warren and skanky Chloe have in store for us in that one.

This was the first book that I've read by this author. I gave this book 3.5 Stars. The book was just ok to me. The writing was fine. There just wasn't enough action in it. It didn't keep me engaged enough. This book was about a man named Quentin whose wife had passed and how he dealt with the death of his beloved wife. He met a woman by the name of Chloe after his wife's funeral and they began a relationship. When Montana is hired as the nanny for Quentin's children, things start to change. You get to see the lives of this hurting family evolve. A touching Christian Fiction book.

After the first chapter, the book seemed to be moving slow for me. But five chapters later, I was hooked. I couldn't believe where the story was going and it became a pleasure to read. I thought it was going to be predictable considering one could tell that the Nanny would get her man. But there were so many twists and turns that happened, it was hard to put down. This is my very first read by this author. I look forward to reading many more of her books.

This book was predictable for me. I knew what was going to happen, maybe 50 pages into the book. It didn't stop me from reading it. It was nice and quick for me.

Quentin Chambers is the wealthy father of five, who has spent the last five years of his life mourning the death of his beloved wife Chandra Chambers. The day of her funeral, he met her alleged childhood friend, Chloe Brooks. Chloe has since been his rock—happy to play the role of girlfriend while helping to spend his money. However, Chloe suddenly wants stability and begins to press Quentin for a more permanent position is his life.
Quentin’s mother, Estelle Chambers, is not pleased with the state of affairs since Chandra’s passing. Not only is she aware that Chloe is a fraud and an opportunist, she is saddened that Quentin has turned his back on his children, the church, and his music ministry. Estelle hires Montana Ellis as a nanny for the children, because she is determined to get the Chambers estate back in order. She is also hopeful that Montana will help bring true love, music and faith back into their household.
Tiffany L. Warren weaves a predictable but enjoyable tale of love and redemption with the Replacement Wife. The storyline flows effortlessly and the characters are convincing and relatable. The subplot of Quentin’s cancer treatment center, Transitions, is a clever addition as the patients bring more energy and sentiment to the already emotionally-charged plot.
The Replacement Wife is enlightening without being “preachy.” It’s a heartwarming and uplifting read that I would definitely recommend to those who appreciate a genuine love story.

Quentin Chambers has decided that living for Christ doesn't pay off. If it did, his beloved wife Chandra would still be alive, helping him take care of their five children. God would have surely answered his prayer to heal her. Therefore, Quentin decides to live his life on his terms, doing what makes him happy, even if it goes against his Christian upbringing.

Facing eviction, Montana, doesn't know what she is going to do. All she knows is that God is going to show up on time. And that he does, in the form of Estelle Chambers, Quentin's mother. Estelle feels that her grandchildren needs some guidance. They need a woman's touch in their lives. So she offers Montana the job of being the Chamber's kids nanny. She will have a place to stay with a $50,000 salary. Montana can't refuse this!

Without even trying, Montana becomes part of the Chamber's family. The kids love her and Quentin is even smiling, something he hasn't truly done since Chandra's death. All is well, but Chloe, Quentin's plaything for the last five years will not let the "hired help" come in a take claim to her man.

Let the games begin!

This book was a breath of fresh air. It wasn't filled with dramatic events, but it kept me turning the pages because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. The reader wasn't beat over the head with the Christian themes. They were "realizations" that hit you after a little talk with Jesus.

Great job Mrs. Warren. I highly recommend this book to all readers.

Quentin Chambers lost the love of his life, Chandra, five years ago to cancer & his faith. Left to raise 5 kids with the help of his mom. Although he has been dating Chloe, who slithered her way into his life for money and social status, he does not believe he will ever be able to love again....until Montana, his kid's new nanny, enters his life. Quentin is falling head over heels for Montana, but Chloe is not willing to lose the man she has invested her time in. Who will be the next Mrs. Quentin Chambers? You'll have to read this page turner to find out!

Faith, trust & honesty.....something Chloe was lacking. She latched onto Quentin Chambers at his wife's funeral with all intentions of becoming the next Mes. Chambers. Deception & trickery gets you no where especially when you have a praying mom.

Estelle, Quentin's mom, knew that Chloe was a gold digger and she stepped in & chose a woman that was more suited for her son.

Romantic and spiritual love story that puts two people together that will definitely compliment each other. You'll enjoy reading.

I give this book three stars. It kept me attention in the beginning. But towards the end, I kind of felt like the book became to predictable and was a little drawn out on the inevitable.

****Spoiler alert****

I really wanted something drastic to happen at the end with Chloe, that way she would loose her settlement money she didn't deserve. Or somehow just had it blow up in her face that she wouldn't be getting nothing. But other than that, it was a good story line. The characters were well written.

I absolutely loved this story it had small moments of Sound of Music one of my all time holiday movie with a twist of drama, I like the way the author blended the two together. The love of God and the power of prayer rules out everything. Just trust him

WOW this book was wonderful what can I say I am left speechless; I haven't been left speechless in a long a time like this book had a lot of characters development and it was amazing to see like all of the characters had great storylines rather they were big or small. Now when it comes to Quention, I must say that he had his moments where he was selfish with his kids and didn't pay attention to them because he was dealing with his own problems, and he also wasn't handling the grieving properly at all he definitely was using Chole as a place holder. Now when it comes to Chloe, she cannot get upset how Quention had done her because she did not love him, she liked the things that he provided for her their relationship was definitely a give intake moment. Now when it comes to dedire she had a lot of growing up to do but in her situation, I can see why she had acted the way that she did because there wasn't no mother figure in her life anymore and she definitely wasn't trying to be open to one on having a mother figure in her life which I can understand. But there have to be a certain point in life where you have to use your common sense. But one thing I can agree with is that Mother Estell was right those kids needed a nanny and Estell and Quention could no done the job by themself. Now Montana was a perfect for those kids and the fact that the kids have enjoyed her expect for Deidre but later one ended up coming around to her because see needed her help she was just fantastic for everyone. And I can't forget Resee he needed his father more than anything but I am glad that Quention was able to see that his kids needed him more than anything and I was glad that Quention had his break through thank to Montana.

I am just a sucker for a good, wholesome story with a happy ending. You know a book is good when you won't put it down and chance being late somewhere because you want to finish it. The antics with Chloe in this story made her a prime candidate for a beat down but, God is merciful. The kids were typical kids, Deidre being a tad bit on the extra side. Quentin was a broken man with money. Montana was a real girl, trying to get her life right with God and true to life, when you're trying to do right, here comes distraction. I love how the story came together. I was mad though about that twenty million! Warren has a new fan in me.

Wow this was a wonderful book. It's all about love, betrayal and money grabber. Quentin lost his wife to cancer. The day of the funeral Chloe attend telling Quentin she and his wife were college buddies. So she started hanging with Quentin until became a thing. After five years Quentin mom sausage kids need help with their homework and school activities, so she employed her church sister Montana. Quentin like her immediately. Quentin got rid of Chloe, she sued him for 20 millions dollars abscess still trying to mess with Montana. In the end Quentin engaged to Montana , Reese got nastiest his pregnant girlfriend and love blooms again in the Chambers home. Lovely and inspiring.

I enjoyed this book a lot, the main story itself was cute. However the demonization of black people from the hood made me uncomfortable, all black people from poor neighborhoods aren’t stupid and robbers, it kind of soured the book for me because the random stereotypes were peppered all throughout the book :/

and i def picked up on the colorism :/

The movie, ‘The Sound of Christmas’ is based off this book. I didn’t realize it until I started reading and the plot sounded oddly familiar, with variations, to a movie I’ve seen. I thought it was a coincidence since the movie is fairly recent and the book about 10 years old. With the help of Google, I discovered I was right and was able to find the movie I was thinking about.

well.......Though I understand why he decided to give in as a spiritual reason. it's hard to believe that God would want that lesson given to "her". They should have made her provide proof of an income/cost of living need.

If you liked Mary Poppins and the Sound of Music, you will love this book. It seems to be a cross between both of them with one added bonus. God is right there in the middle doing what He does best, redeeming and healing those who need it. Very well done!
