I had the pleasure of being an early reader when this book was in manuscript form. I fell in love with the writing, the family at the center of this tale, and most especially, Jennifer Hamlin Church’s gift for telling details. I would highly recommend this book!

This is a story! A true, engaging, marvelous, multi-generational story. Hilda was the author's grandmother. Hilda's life took fascinating turns and she knew fascinating people. The author writes with grace and skill. Loved this book. All of its more than 600 pages.
