Despite one philosophical error in the book concerning an "aspective vision" , as opposed to the Met Museum's "idealized" one, this book is a tour de force on the subject. I guess they made it in anticipation of the Met's Tutankhamen exhibition that premiered in the Fall of 1978-Winter 1979 that I sent my parents to (my mother was a huge Egyptophile) as a Christmas gift -- alas they never never made it for my father died. Tens of drawing, a solid exposition and a fine sociological understanding of the era. I learnt alot about the earliest forms of drawing, a stick on clay, and how drawing permeated the whole of Egyptian culture and technology.
Excellent.
