The author of over 80 books in a little over a decade of writing, Dan Gutman has written on topics from computers to baseball. Beginning his freelance career as a nonfiction author dealing mostly with sports for adults and young readers, Gutman has concentrated on juvenile fiction since 1995. His most popular titles include the time-travel sports book Honus and Me and its sequels, and a clutch of baseball books, including The Green Monster from Left Field. From hopeful and very youthful presidential candidates to stunt men, nothing is off limits in Gutman's fertile imagination. As he noted on his author Web site, since writing his first novel, They Came from Centerfield, in 1994, he has been hooked on fiction. "It was fun to write, kids loved it, and I discovered how incredibly rewarding it is to take a blank page and turn it into a WORLD."
Gutman was born in New York City in 1955, but moved to Newark, New Jersey the following year and spent his youth there.
I was not crazy about Bunny Double, We're in Trouble! a book bridge between story books and chapter books, nor did I particularly like the snotty attitude of the kids and adults
it was easter and mayor hubble had a easter celebration then he said if you find the golden egg inside it is ten thousand dollars then the hunt began parents and kids ran all over the place and a.j only got five then when all the eggs were found they looked for the golden eggs they could not find them and then it was time to do other stuff then after that we almost left but we saw mayor hubble get something off the floor and there was the golden egg with the ten thousand dollards then they ran to the helicopter and then some guy jumped on him and used his tie to tye him up and then he went to the police station and went to jail
Mayor Hubble and Mrs. Bubble tried to keep the one thousand dollars inside the golden egg, but Boomer Wiggins jumps on Mayor Hubble's back and yells "someone call the cops!" He also askes Ryan, Michel, and A.j. if he could use there ties to tie Mayor Hubble and Mrs. Bubble. When the cops come they say Boomer should become a cop
I chose these ratings because I like 'My weird school' books. I have the whole series at home. My weird school books are funny
It was funny...but I was a little surprised that not even in the facts section in the back did the author mention the real reason why people celebrate Easter. The kids had to get dressed up with shirt and ties on...I mean...they do that so they can go to church normally. No mention at all of the real reason for Easter. Not that the book had to be religious, but it is a fact that Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
This was a fun Easter book featuring the "My Weird School" kids. I love the main character AJ's sense of humor. It was a chapter book my twin boys loved, but was interesting enough that I didn't get bored.
this book doesn't really have a summary.like all at once crazy things start going.like this famous football player is the easter bunny and the mayor and his wife go to jail. but it was good sort of.
