Accidentally in Love #3

Resisting the Hero

Rate this book
Faith Fitzpatrick isn’t looking for a hero. Burned one too many times in the past, she’s now sworn them off completely. And when her brother’s best friend, Connor, convinces him to join the dangerous SWAT team, Faith has never been more anti-hero. What’s wrong with having a safe job? There’s nothing safe about Connor. Confident, sexy, and sporting a six-pack that should be illegal, he’s everything she doesn’t want.

When his best friend’s sister moves to town, local cop Connor Maguire knows he’s in trouble. Faith is feisty, funny, and talks trash like nobody’s business. She’s also his partner’s sister—and so totally off limits. Working on the Fall Festival together, they agree to a truce and become friends. But the more time Connor spends with Faith, the more he’s willing to risk the wrath of her brother. If he could only convince her to take a risk on him, too.

I love brother's best friend stories and this book had one of the yummiest BBF's ever! Connor Maguire won me over the second he came onto the page and held my complete interest until the very last one. Paired with the feisty Faith Fitzpatrick, their chemistry was hot, palpable, and so much fun to read. The story was fast paced and filled with laugh out loud moments, heart, and family in addition to the sweet and sexy times between Connor and Faith. This is a wonderful end to the series and I adored every part of it!

Madsen does it again! From the moment I saw the cover art (Holy Shoulders, Batman!) and read the synopsis, I knew this book would bring the tingles. I'm happy to declare: the swoon is strong with this one :)

Faith and Connor's love story is exactly that--a story of authentic, soul deep love...but it doesn't stop there. This is also a story of healing, friendship, and the power of family. Equal parts sweet and sexy, RESISTING THE HERO made me laugh, cry, and get delicious butterflies. What can I say? When it comes to Connor Maguire, resistance is positively futile.

I have the first two books in this series sitting on my Kindle and all I can say after reading Resisting the Hero is: WHY THE HECK HAVE I NOT MADE TIME FOR THEM!? I really enjoyed Cindi's writing- she pulled me right in to the story and I was completely hooked. Characters from the previous novels make an appearance here, but I found it wasn't necessary to have read the first two books first. Cindi weaves them in to where fans of the older books will be happy to see them, but new fans such as myself don't get confused as to who is who.

Let's start with uber sexy Connor Maguire, shall we? Oh boy. Connor is your typical playboy, or so we've heard. We hear about his reputation as being popular with the ladies, but we don't see it in this book. I liked that. I get bummed out when I first meet the hero and he's taking care of business with another girl who is NOT our heroine. When Connor first meets Faith, he not only notices how beautiful she is, but is drawn to her spunk. She shows up feisty, strong-willed, and quite headstrong. You can tell she doesn't fall for any crap and I like how she navigated Connor's smooth talking waters. He puts the C in cocky, but it's definitely not in a douchebag way. Connor has that playful cocky arrogance, and some of his lines are so hilarious!

Faith is not unaffected by Connor. He may be cocky and arrogant, but he's definitely easy on the eyes. However, Faith always tends to pick the wrong guys and the most recent really left her in a bad way. From here on out, Faith wants a stable, sweet guy. Although she is typically attracted to the confident ones, she won't go down that road again. Connor is everything she knows she shouldn't want and yet she can't help but be attracted to him. He doesn't make it any easier on her as he enjoys getting under her skin and flirting with her. He knows she should be off limits, as she is his best friend's sister, but for the first time in a long time Connor finally wonders if he'd be willing to try his hand at a relationship again.

I absolutely loved their romantic build up. Faith is incredibly stubborn, even after Connor proves his worth as a good guy. Not only does she not want to get hurt again, but she has a real problem with Connor's job. Connor and her brother Kaleb are both cops and are both newly trained SWAT members. This terrifies Faith as the last thing she wants is for anything to happen in the line of duty like it did for her father. Faith was always a daddy's girl and losing her dad was really hard on her. She couldn't stop Kaleb from joining the force, but for him to train for SWAT and be one of the first ones put in danger is too much for her. Kaleb has a wife, Anna, and a daughter, Ella, and another one on the way. He is a family man and while he thinks of their safety and protection, Faith really zones in on something happening to him and leaving his family behind like her father did. Kaleb and Faith's mother was never the same after losing her husband and the depression took hold of her to a point where she retreated and is now living with her mother in Virginia.

I definitely understand Faith's hang ups. She has been hurt by her last boyfriend who always said he wasn't good at relationships and then when she caught him in the act with another woman, he threw that back in her face. Connor's reputation is all too reminiscent of her ex's and she lets her insecurities from the past taint what they could have with one another. There is also the tiny problem of Kaleb, who tells Connor there's no way they can be together. Gotta love the protective older brother! Connor tries to do the right thing and back off, but after spending more and more time with her, he realizes that he just can't and nor does he want to.

I really enjoyed Kaleb, Anna, and Ella. You can tell they are a close family unit and I love how Connor has been incorporated into that. Watching him with little Ella will tug on your heartstrings and one of the reasons Faith lets her guard down with him. Ella is a handful, but she's really cute too and I liked how much interaction we got with her throughout the book. Faith is really there for her family when they need her and as hard as it was coming back to her hometown where so many memories of her father remain, she realizes maybe coming back wasn't the worst thing to ever happen to her.

I really loved this book and I feel Madsen did a great job of developing her characters, as well as creating a believable storyline and atmosphere for them. It's a warm, fun, sweet book, but also has a serious side to it as well. Both our main characters have their own challenges and pasts to work through and I liked seeing their resilience and drive to do so. I want to give a huge thank you to Rachel Harris, Debbie Suzuki, and Cindi herself for making review copies available to Rachel's street team The Flirt Squad (in which I am happy to be a part!)

There are some authors that you just KNOW are going to be a slam dunk. Cindi Madsen is my go to author for swoony romance. I just fall in love with her characters and want to hang out with them.

I picked Resisting the Hero as my first read for 2014 because I was sure it would be the perfect read to kick off the year. I was right - of course!

One thing that did throw me off at first was the hero, Conner. When we first meet him, I thought he was the jerk that the real hero would rescue Faith from. He was pushy and arrogant - one thing that doesn't usually characterize Madsen's nice guy heroes. I was like uh-oh, I don't think I'm going to like this one. lol

No worries though! After that bumpy start we get to know Conner. He is a big flirt, and a bit of a ladies man, but in more of that hey - he's a good looking guy that has a healthy sex life but isn't ready to settle down yet way - not the man-whore, sleeping his way through town, asshole way. He's a REALLY good, responsible guy and has his sights set on Faith for something much more than a fling.

There are so many reasons for Faith to resist Conner. There's his playboy reputation - she's fallen for those guys before and been burned. He's best friends with her brother who is not a fan of this pairing. Then there's his career choice. He's a cop and member of the SWAT team. Faith just can't let herself choose a guy that puts himself right in the middle of danger and risk getting hurt with that type of loss again.

Resisting the Hero is super fun and flirty. The banter between Faith and Conner is off the charts steamy and fun. He shamelessly pursues her with his cheesy one liners but she is having none of it. They have an obvious attraction but they also have the beginnings of a solid friendship and relationship too. Ahhh - they made me swoon.

Despite all the fun, they have some rather big issues to overcome but this story never gets bogged down in angst. Yet the subject matters are treated respectfully and thoughtfully. Faith and Conner are good people trying to do the right thing.

Family and friends are important factors in this story as well and OMG I may have squealed with the cameos from the couples of the previous books in the Accidentally in Love series! You don't need to have read the previous books (although you should) but what a nice treat for fans!

So 2014 has gotten off to a great reading start!

This book made me so happy! Faith is sweet and incredibly likable. While Connor, that infamous hero...yee gaws, he's such a babe. His pick-up lines are both sexy and humorous. I don't know how Faith resisted him for so long. :) It made me all giddy inside when she finally surrendered so they could get to the sexy! Wonderful end to an amazing series!

Cindi Madsen's Accidentally In Love series just keeps getting better and better. This is the third book and my favourite book of the three. I absolutely loved Connor and Faith. Who wouldn't love a man who could throw out corny pick up lines, wrangle a two year old with ease and take down the bad guys ?? I couldn't resist.

The banter back and forth between Faith and Connor is pure fun, " You're an ass." " And you have a nice ass". And so it goes. Faith gives as good as she gets and it makes the tug and pull that goes on with them worth the build up. I also loved the warnings and loaded spoken looks that Connor and Faith's brother Kaleb share throughout the book. I could almost see them holding whole conversations regarding Faith while right in front of her.

Every scene that Faith and Connor are in together sizzle, these two are a perfect match despite what Faith's doubts, Connor's past and Kaleb think. The slow burn they go through is worth every word, because by the end of the book you will have sore cheeks from smiling, agitated tear ducts from both their actions and will finish with a big cheesy grin.

When Faith comes back to her home town she finds out that her cop big brother has joined the SWAT team and completed training, in fact she arrives in time for the celebratory party. This is her worst nightmare. They lost their cop father to a bullet and she immediately worries about Kaleb, his pregnant wife and their daughter. She doesn't want to loose another family member.

Connor McGuire is Kaleb's partner, SWAT team member and best friend. These alone should steer him away from the blonde who just walked in the door and who he knows is Kaleb's little sister. He is also a cop because of Faith and Kaleb's father, and in most peoples eyes, a player. But none of this matters when he lays eyes on Faith.

Can he show her that he is more than a player and her brothers best friend and that for the right person he can change ? Or that though he works in a line of work where he faces danger daily that his training will protect him and those around him ? And when does the bickering and harmless flirtation start to change into something more ?

If you are looking for a great read then dive into this book, then go back and read the other books in this series and join me in waiting for the next instalment. Cindi Madsen has become a auto buy author for me after this book.

Loved Resisting the Hero, Faith and Connor are both such lovable and memorable characters. From the first page I was drawn in and couldn't put my Ipad down.

Faith was so scared to trust her heart again after being hurt and humiliated by her last boyfriend that when she first meets Connor she quickly puts him into the heartbreaker category and tries her best not to fall for his charms. Yeah good luck with that Faith, there's no way anyone can ignore Connor lol

Connor has a reputation of being a man whore and he doesn't hide the fact he enjoys the company of a pretty lady. He might be all that but he also has a heart of gold, he would do anything for his loved ones.
Connor had me rolling my eyes with his cheesy pick up lines one minute then he would leave me swooning when he interacted with Faith's two year old niece Ella, gahhh be still my heart :P

One of my fav moments happens at the beginning of chapter 12, Ella tells Connor Faith was being Sleeping Beauty as she was sleeping on the couch. Connor asks Ella "how do we wake up Sleeping Beauty?" Ella replies "Tiss of tourse" CUTE!
Connor doesn't miss a beat, he walks up to Faith kisses her softly on the lips then says "wake up Sleeping Beauty" sigh.... seriously Connor might now be my fav book boyfriend.

From the beginning of Resisting the Hero I knew I had found a real gem, it truly was a heartwarming read, loved every word.

The Accidently in Love series has been a wonderful read, Cindi Madsen has become one of my must read authors. Love her work and cannot wait to read more in the near future.

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Bliss for the ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts.

I absolutely adored the hero in this one. Connor is drool-worthy, swoon-worthy, and loved by both small children and dogs--what more can you want? ;) I liked that he knew himself and recognized what he had to do to change his ways and be the kind of guy that Faith's family would approve of for her--I for one would not want to mess with her brother, even before he made it onto the SWAT team!

Faith was ultimately a very likable heroine, though she was a bit too hung up on her past for someone with her career aspirations. But at least she knew and acknowledged her issues. I totally got where she was coming from here, but it was frustrating to watch her shoot Connor down over and over when he was trying to prove himself to her (though of course she didn't have the insight into his character that we did, but still). She came to her senses at the end, at least--very satisfying ending.

Faith's niece is a great fictional child--not too sweet, and not too obnoxious--very true-to-life. She's also proof positive that permanent markers have no place in homes with small children, just in case anyone needed it!

This is my favorite in the series so far! Definitely recommend.

B+ rating.

The sexual innuendos and sparks fly when Faith Fitzpatrick meets her brother's partner on the SWAT team. She has sworn off dating cops and after her last boyfriend cheated on her she is not in the mood for dating. But Connor Maguire doesn't take no for an answer and his witty banter matches hers every time she tries to brush him off with a flippant comment. When she sees his softer side due to a family emergency she falls even harder for him while trying to talk herself out of resisting his charms.

I loved her thought process when she was around Connor and this book has me laughing when they would verbally spar! It was brainy and sexy all in one! Confidence in men and women is perfection with a sense of humor to balance it out and turning on the mind turns on the body!
Connor and Faith were special together and the book kept that thread til the end and the author was superb in showcasing intelligence can be sexy in a woman. I have read books by this author before and she is one I highly recommend.

This was such a lovely easy romantic read with wonderful loveable characters. Whilst following on from Falling for her Fiancé & Act Like You Love Me, Resisting the Hero could quite easily be read as a standalone, although the characters from these do feature.

Cindi Madsen has used the trusted romantic blend of the heroine being the younger sister of the hero's best-friend and she has done an excellent job with the chemistry between Connor and Faith. With his flirty nature and tongue-in-cheek wit, SWAT Officer Connor could charm the birds out of the trees and is relentless in the best possible way in his pursuit of Faith's affections. She's sassy, witty and kind-hearted and as frustrating as her reluctance is, it is understandable and this makes it the captivating charming love story it is.

With plenty of humour, innuendo and sexual tension balanced with romantic, touching and more serious moments, Resisting the Hero was a fitting finale to the Accidentally in Love series.

I received an ARC of this courtesy of Entangled Publishing for an honest and unbiased opinion.

***ARC received through Netgalley***

Resisting the Hero is the first book in the series I've read, but it can be read as a standalone so I didn't have any troubles about that. I liked the cover and summary, and I knew it probably was a sweet romance. I wasn't disappointed by this one, it wasn't too much or not enough, you know? The characters were likeable, and I enjoyed the storyline.

Faith has been hurt too many times by men (the last one cheated on her), and the last thing she need in her life is a hero. Her father was a cop and she is still dealing with the past and what happened. She wants to date a nerdy guy who'll settle down with her. The thing is, she didn't expect to fall for a cocky cop who's also in the SWAT team. And now, she'll have her big brother but also Connor to worry about.

Connor is a player with a too big ego (and a hot body); something was missing in his life and after being around Faith and her sassy comebacks, he knew it wasn't something but someone.

If you are looking for sweet, Resisting the Hero is made for you!

Loved, loved, loved this one! I have to admit the entire time I was reading it I was picturing Channing Tatum who I totally swoon over and that's how I felt about Connor. Yes, Connor is cocky and yet he's so sweet and tender that it tempers his cockiness. He's so great with his partner's daughter, Ella, and he's also so good with Faith when she has to face her demons regarding her father's death.

Faith is also a firecracker of a heroine. I love that she's feisty yet vulnerable, she's capable yet not one of those perfect heroines that knows how to do everything and makes you feel inadequate standing next to her. There were so many scenes that made me laugh despite the fact that I had a horrible cold while reading this.

Disclaimer: I received this book free of charge from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

I didn’t want to read this book, for no other reason than the fact that I haven’t read the first two books (ahem, sorry Cindi), but I had it in my reader and I just couldn’t resist. Not for lack of trying, but because I am drawn to Cindi’s writing like a PMSing woman is drawn to chocolate. It’s just so darn good.

Cindi Madsen never fails to make two completely-wrong-for-each-other characters come together perfectly with the greatest and tastiest chemistry you can imagine. I couldn’t get enough of Connor and I have to say, I kind of wanted him all to myself, so much so that I started plotting on how to get Faith out of the way, but then finally, my mind realised it was fiction, so I pouted a little and got on with my life.

Ultimately I did like Faith. All she really wants to do is bite her brother’s head off, spend some time with his wife and her niece and hunt for apartments, but her plans go awry when she meets Connor. Sexy, chiselled, hot with a heart of gold and he’s good with kids? And as an added bonus, he’s easy-going and funny. No wonder I fell for him. He’s filled with sexual innuendos and cheesy pick-up lines, but he also helps anyone who needs it. I swoon just thinking of him.

Cindi Madsen never fails to impress me. She’s managed to turn me into a messy, mushy blubbering mess on more than one occasion (I’m a huge sucker for a happy ending) and I’m glad she’s keeping with the tradition of keeping me up until the wee hours of the morning.

Now, I admit I’m extremely biased, because I think Cindi rocks from here all the way to Jupiter, but this book is definitely the perfect relaxing read. It’s a feel good book and boy did it make me feel good! Throw in a couple of “WTF Faith!!” moments and this book has it all!

And because I’m biased I’m telling all of you, if you don’t already have it, well you better go get right now!

Two words: That. Was. Hot. Oh, sorry, that was three words. My brain isn't in a fully functional state at the moment, I'm still recovering from Connor turning it into mush. Mmm.. Connor. Ahem. Right, book review!

I just finished reading Resisting the Hero and boy was it good, not a really good choice of pre-sleep reading though, unless you can somehow sleep after such a steamy, delightful book. Everything about this book completely sucked me in and once I started reading it I just couldn't stop!

The characters were wonderful. Faith had the right amount of snark, fun, & heart and Connor was perfect amounts of sexy, sexy, & sexy. Err.. I meant sweet (sexy), funny (sexy), & kind (sexy). Connor was the perfect male leading role. He was a cop, he was drop dead gorgeous, he could speak sexy Italian, and he wanted to save the world! So dreamy! Faith was amazing too and I understand why she didn't fall for Connor so easily (well, I kinda do..) and I found her to be very adorable, even with all her insecurities.

This is your classic romance novel, and even though we all know ultimately what's going to happen it's the journey there that we really want to read about, and Cindi Madsen can sure write one heck of a journey! While I thought Faith was a little too frosty to my cutie-pie Connor right at the beginning, I could understand why after all, she'd just been through one bad break-up. I wasn't so fond of Connor's history either, he's just to sweet to do such things, but again I understood and I loved watching both these characters grow through each other. This book is a definite must for romance lovers and I really, really, like, right now really need to get my hands on the first two books in this Bliss series!

I thought this was a sweet and charming romance and it was a pleasure to read. The characters had depth and the interactions felt relatable. The story first introduces us to Faith, who is returning to her hometown after a terrible break-up. Adding to the stress, she hasn't been home since she graduated from high school, due to a family tragedy. We learn that her father was a police officer, killed off-duty and she hasn't quite gotten over the sadness and fear of violence. Of course, we then learn her brother, Kaleb, is a cop who has just joined the SWAT team!! Poor Faith! Next, enter Connor, Kaleb's very sexy partner and best friend. The instant that Faith and Connor meet, the chemistry is explosive and watching them handle their feelings was a pleasure. This book has a lot of entertaining banter and some sweet, family moments. Watching them navigate this "should they-shouldn't they" relationship felt very real. This is a pretty clean romance, which I find to be refreshing, though don't get me wrong, I like a good dirty book every now and then. I thought this romance focused on family and the strength of individuals to overcome hurtful pasts and find the light at the end of the tunnel. I was excited to find out this was a series and can't wait to go back and read the earlier books. I think I found a new romance author to add to my collection.

Overall, this was a fun, pleasure read and I would recommend it to any romance reader who wants to see true love unfold.

This is an easy read that is kind of a good news/bad news deal. It's very typical of the genre. You have a beautiful young woman (Faith) trying to overcome her fears & move on from a broken relationship. Her counterpart is a muscle bound SWAT cop (Connor) who is a player & suitably alpha. Their attraction is immediate but his partner is her brother who makes it clear she's off limits.
The good news is if you enjoy stories where the couple in question fight temptation, deal with lots of drama, gradually give in & find their HEA, this is for you.
The bad news is there's nothing new here. Faith is emotionally fragile although she has her masters in psychology so you have to wonder why she's still so unable to face her own fears. Connor is cocky, self confidant & has an endless stream of cheesy pick up lines ("You know, you've got the kind of legs that make me wanna be pants") that, at his age, come across as a bit immature. But we know he's sexy as the author makes repeated reference to lopsided grins & rippling muscles.
So it depends on what you're looking for. We know they'll end up together & everyone will be fine so there's little tension or surprise. Any sex happens off the page so it's a "clean" read, suitable for younger readers.
It's a quick little romance where the ending is never in doubt & won't tax the grey matter so it may be just the type of escape you're looking for at the end of a long day in reality.

After having her heart crushed one too many times, Faith swears off good-looking, confident men forever. And she's definitely not looking for a hero. She needs a sweet, reliable, unassuming man. Her brother's best friend, Connor, is exactly what she doesn't want. Super-sexy, totally confident and utterly charming, Connor is dangerous enough on his own. But when you throw in the fact that he's not only a cop, but a member of the SWAT team, throwing himself in harm's way as a matter of routine, falling for him is a risk Faith isn't willing to take.

Too bad he's impossible to resist.

I received my advance copy of RESISTING THE HERO while I was fighting a nasty flu. I knew I should be sleeping, to allow my body a chance to heal, but like Faith, I couldn't resist Connor's charm. I had to finish the book before I could give in to sleep, because I just had to see Faith and Connor find their own happily ever after. There's definitely more to this guy than meets the eye. Proof that the perfect guy might just be the one you'd never choose for yourself.

I was given a copy of this book by NetGalley for an honest review ...
Faith Fitzpatrick has already lost her father who was a cop when she was young and her brother not only followed in her fathers footsteps but also joined the SWAT team. So when Faith was headed back home from her recent break-up the last thing she wants or expects is to meet and fall for a fellow officer and SWAT member. She does everything in her power to resist Connor Macguire - but it's pretty hard to resist the irresistible! I loved the banter and snarky comments she retaliated with and the one liners that he thought might work. This was my first novel by Cindi Madsen and it won't be the last. I loved her writing style and the development of her characters.

Resisting the Hero has a sexy cop and a feisty heroine. The banter between the two kept me turning the pages, watching their attraction grow as they both fought to act on it. Connor's trying to respect his partner's wishes and stay away from his little sister, but it's not as easy as it sounds. Faith's determined to not fall for a hero. I totally fell for Connor! He's got a lot more going on than he shows, and there's no doubt that he's a really good guy. And Faith is a realistic heroine. She's not perfect and she's working out some things, but she's also there for her family, and sees Connor's got more to him, but his job still scares her. I loved how the story unfolded, and how they couldn't deny their chemistry anymore. This was a great ending to a great series.

Caution: Approach with caution! This book may cause serious swooning

I picked up this series up at book three and after finishing it I'm going to go back and buy the first two. If they are as good as Resisting the Hero I won't be disappointed.

It didn't take me long to devour this as I couldn't get enough of cocky cop Connor and feisty firecracker Faith. They certainly had plenty of chemistry and sparks flew the first time they met. Of course partner, best friend and not to mention older brother warns Connor off but he can't stay away and Faith doesn't want him to.

Packed with cheesy lines and fun laughs. Just beware of Connor... Swooning may affect balance.

Loved, loved Faith and Connor. I fell in love with Connor immediately, whats not to like. A cop, loves kids, always helping people and super sexy. Ok,so he was a player but things change as soon as Faith walks in. Faith on the other hand, has no trust in men, after being burned by her ex boyfriend and her dad dying in the line of duty. This book is about family, healing and trust. I laughed and cried during this book. A must read. I received an ARC from the published for a honest review.

What a sweet, sexy way to finish out the Accidentally in Love trilogy! Loved Faith & Connor's story - it's filled with cheesy pick-up lines, an overprotective big brother, love and risks. Absolutely love Cindi Madsen's style and how she adds her own personal flair to this romance.

Full review out tomorrow, but HOLY MOSES it's no wonder Faith has such a hard time resisting Connor! I certainly wouldn't be able to!

Aşık Olma Hakkına Sahipsiniz (Accidentally in Love Serisi 3)
Cindi Madsen

I received a free copy in exchanged for an honest review, it in no way influenced my review.

This is the second novel I read from Bliss Publishing and I have loved both. Resisting the Hero is a cute yet very emotional and moving story that traps your heart and pulls you right in from the start. I didn’t read the previous 2 novels before I read Resisting the Hero and I have no trouble connecting with the characters or the story line in any way.

I really liked practically everything about this books, from the characters to the plot to the writing. Cindi Madsen is an amazing writer, she just seems to captivate me from the start. Just the way that Resisting the Hero started off, I really cannot explain it maybe it was just me.

I loved the main character Faith, she is this strong, sassy, sometimes one minded girl that hides behind it all to protect herself from pain. I like that we get to see a vulnerable side to our main character, how she is so haunted from her past that she can’t even go to certain places or be with certain people because of what she went through. I totally understand the way she is, the reasoning to why Faith is that way is just heartbreaking and emotional. She is tormented by something that hurt her so much, also adding the fact of all the other problems.

I think you will too when you read Resisting the Hero. She builds up this wall and believes that she cannot date ‘the hero’ but then you bring Conner Maguire into the equation.

I love Conner, he is sweet and caring and yes he might be a bit of a man whore but a girl can defiantly change that. He is just amazing , he makes me smile every time he talks about Faith and just add in that he is super hot. Conner changes when he meets Faith, I love seeing this change, it’s just makes me smile. Faith and Conner are both better for each other, they help one another through the hard times.

My heart melts at so many of those cute moments between Conner and Faith, they are just so cute. Yes it might be cliche the older brother’s friend but I just love it. The little moment they have when they are getting things ready for the Fall Festival is just shfkashfh.

Anna! Oh my heart weeps for Anna and Kaleb as well. They are both just wonderful characters and they make the novel that much more realistic than it already was. I really like Anna, there was nothing that wasn't likeable. I liked Kaleb and disliked him at the same time. The thing I didn’t like about him was his protective older brother side, he just got on my nerves and I wanted to scream at him most of the time, but then again I loved this side as it showed just how much he cares about Faith.

I wish there was some more character development in the minor characters but in saying that there was really good character development in both Faith and Conner, which I loved. Sometimes it’s really hard to find great character development in both our main characters really.

I really liked how the book was written, how we got the perceptive of both Faith and Conner, we got to see or read how they both feel, the effect they had on each other. The way they make each other feel.

The ending oh what an ending, my heart stopped for a minute there, it nearly ripped me to pieces. It brought out the best in both Faith and Conner. We witness how much Conner loves Faith, she sees it.

Cindi Madsen writes a brilliant, heartfelt, sweet novel about a girl who with the right boy can overcome heartbreak and a life that haunted her for quite a while.

I Give Resisting the Hero 4 out of 5 stars
