This tiny book comprises about 60 prayers, 4-5 sentences each, that a husband can pray for his wife.
Seems small and trivial, but Omartian packs a lot of relational truth into a small space.
A husband concerned for his wife’s needs will find enlightenment as to what those needs are, and fuel for his prayers here.

I think Omartian is more charismatic than me theologically, but it doesn’t come through in this book hardly at all.

Especially convicting and striking are those times men are called to pray for God to do something for their wives that they cannot do themselves: convict them of sin, bring them joy, etc.

I recommend this book to jump start or deepen your prayer life as a husband for your wife.

Worth visiting every day

I love these little guides of hers. For a while, I had a few of them open every day and used them as prayer guides. I don't believe there's any more powerful way to bless my family than to pray aggressively for them. These guides were such a help in my consistency and focus.

Definitely loved many of the prayers suggested in this volume. Some I will use for other friends or family besides my husband, as well as for him. Won't use them all, but certainly some good ones. I know these are meant to be used by a husband to pray for his wife, but some of these can be applied to husbands, too, and some will come in handy for praying for other women in my life.

It doesn’t matter how, just pray for her!

I like being able to pray for each of the different areas of my wife’s life, whether daily or weekly, whether by myself or in a group. Our wives need us to pray for them, which will in turn benefit not only us but also many other people we influence.
