What is the rapture? When is the second coming? Why is there so much talk about Bible prophecy, and what is it all about? There’s no better place to go for clear, specific answers than to God’s Word, which is what Bible prophecy expert Tim LaHaye does in this Quick Look guide to the last days. This book, based on decades of careful research, presents a concise picture of the end times. You’ll learn about the two most important events to take place in the future―the rapture and second coming―and along the way, discover answers to questions such as…
Timothy "Tim" F. LaHaye was an American evangelical Christian minister, author, and speaker, best known for the Left Behind series of apocalyptic fiction, which he co-wrote with Jerry B. Jenkins.
He has written over 50 books, both fiction and non-fiction.
Few things have been as destructive to the message of Jesus as dispensationalism. If you are looking for a healthy alternative, read Surprised by Hope by N.T. Wright. May God help us all.
Exactly as the title suggests, this is a quick look at the Rapture and the Second Coming of Christ. At only 59 pages in length, this book is a quick read. It is well organized and easy to understand. There were some graphics and charts that were helpful as well. Biblical prophecy can be difficult to understand but this book breaks it down so it's easier to follow. I especially enjoyed the question/answer section in the last chapter. Overall, this was a quick and easy read that helped me to better understand end times prophecy.
So much is said about the end of times. What I enjoyed most in the book were the facts given in no nonsense terms. It is a great beginning of a long beautiful study.
It's rare to come across a book where I can find no fault. This volume is one of those. It states clearly in the title what it is and what it's about, then it lives up to that title.
Brief, informative, and easily digestible, I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more from LaHaye.
As the title states, this book offers a quick study of the rapture. It is written in a very simple straightforward way so that someone new to studying the rapture can understand the Bible's teaching on it.
I've read this booklet more than once. I use it as a "quick reference." If you're looking for clear and uncomplicated answers regarding the rapture and the 2nd coming of Christ then this is the booklet to read.
Being a Christian, it is of the utmost importance to read, absorb his word, and learn more about prophecies that are being fulfilled. It is the only indicator that result in "the end of times". Would recommend to others
As an intro to the subject it us not too bad, but it pays far too little attention to differentiating between the Rapture and the Second Coming. Try Phil Layton's book 'The Rapture' instead.
