This is a short second chance novella. Skye and Lucky had their first chance years prior, but a simple misunderstanding broke them apart and both of them moved on. Now years later they finally get their second chance after growing and living with their past mistakes and regrets. Second chance isn't my favorite trope, but still an enjoyable read👍👍

Assumptions cost everything!
Skye and Lucky really are amazing together, I am so glad they get a second chance and I am sad that their first chance was lost to a simple misunderstanding that could have been cleared up immediately but was taken advantage of. Lessons learnt, they more than make up for lost time! A short but sexy novella.

Second Time Lucky is a second chance story due to an unfortunate misunderstanding that didn't have to go as far as it did if only there was better communication between Skye & Lucky. Skye hasn't been home after that for a long time & tried to move on with her life with her husband & daughter but she never really got over Lucky to be honest. It was ironic that her husband decided he wanted to end his rugby career playing for the Goshawks Rugby Club, and now she has no choice but to face Lucky & her past head on. Lucky never got over Skye either, so he's trying to guard his heart against her but it was like no time passed with the sparks flying. I normally shy away from this type of second chance story since it never fails to keep me all kinds of anxious with the second choice & first choice in the same arena, however, I really enjoyed how this author wrote this story with all the moving parts so I did very much want more of it at the end of the day (HINT HINT)! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Okay so when the story started I was hooked, and I wanted to know what was going to happen next….
Skye and Lucky met the night before she was going away. They spent an amazing night together and he made Skye promise that when she came back, she would marry him….
Now, it’s 15 years later. Skye is married to someone else (his nemesis) and has a daughter. Soon secrets and misunderstandings are revealed… Where do they go from here…
I enjoyed the story, only issue I had was it was way to short and everything seemed like it was rushed… But I liked the idea of the story 😊

3.5 stars - good twist!
This is a short read with some insta love. BUT things don't turn out as you expect. This is a second chance romance after all.
That gave this story more depth than it would have otherwise, but it really only scratches the surface. But Cian and Skye definitely have chemistry going for them.
Quick read with a guy who you will want to root for and a gal who comes into her own and learns from her past decisions.
I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.

An emotional second Chance novella that is told in two parts, a misunderstanding with devastating consequences has kept Skye and Lucky apart for years, which saw Skye leaving town and marrying Lucky’s rugby enemy now years later they are back in town with their daughter and instant the pair reconnected sparks fly, but all isn’t as it seems and when the truth is finally revealed will this couple finally get their HEA.

Skye and Lucky get a second chance on their romance. This book was really good, these two deserved their second chance. The chemistry was off the charts, I loved it.

Didn’t like this one, it was sweet, but I don’t like the terrible middle. I like the fantasy of things happening in a shorter time frame.
