Apache Heart

Rate this book
Dr. Randi Green was just a smart girl from New Jersey until she finishes medical school and realizes she’s $100,000 in debt…out west, the Federal Indian Health Service is looking for a doctor to work on an Arizona reservation in exchange for $40,000 of student loan relief. It seems like a perfect match, so Randi packs her bags, hoping she can find happiness in a new place and culture.
After meeting her handsome, new boss, Dr. Elan Cody, and a quietly, enticing paramedic, Lee Yahnaki, suddenly, life is looking very interesting for Randi. But life on the rez becomes a lot more complicated than Randi bargained for after she witnesses a brutal crime. Soon, she is pulled into a race to save a young woman’s life—and perhaps her own—while trying to decide not only who to trust, but who to love.

I really loved this book. it was a quite short read but worth the time spent reading it.
I love the characters Randi young MD who choose to work on an Apache rez to pay off her study debt, Lee the handsome man: paramedic, traditional dancer and firefighter but who spent a year in jail for agravated assault. and there is Maggy a rape and domestic abuse victim and the handsome doctor Elan Cody. Secondary characters as Lozen, Harold and the youngers : all also very interesting. I appreciate the facts about the high rape rate and rare punishment of their authors.
A very refreshing story.
