If you want to learn Windows Assembler , really going into the system and get a look at the windows callback procedure - this is your book. Personally I am happy, that I grew up with the development of computers, starting 1980 with the first Disk Operated System, DOS 1.2.
The modern times and it's frenzy about high end performance, would have made it impossible for me to dig that deep.
