I am puzzled what to say about this story. At times it felt like a first draft, but then in other spots, it was perfection.

Yeah, THAT.
This book has not been edited, or it has been edited by a poor-ass slacker who needs to be bitch slapped. The typos and grammar errors were really distracting, particularly the plentiful use of the wrong word ("sign" instead of "sigh," for example) and the massively distracting utilization of the possessive in lieu of the plural: "He was scared to have his parent's visiting" and "The two girl's were all over him" (I'm paraphrasing slightly, but you get the idea.) This made me want to scream and kick something.
Besides that, this was an okay story, nothing spectacular, but enjoyable enough, especially if you like rockstars (although if rock gods are your thing, I recommend the well-written - and edited! - Illumination .)
Synopsis:
For the first 30 percent, Ryan and Dagger talk on the phone. Ryan is "straight" and an entertainer reporter/writer for a music magazine. Dagger is a, what else?, rock god. He is also gay but in the closet, concerned about how coming out will affect his career. When Ryan interviews Dagger, he accidentally catches him with a man; sparks fly. They become friends, but Dagger wants more. So does Ryan; he just won't admit it to himself.
From 30 to 70 percent, the two MCs are more or less together and experimenting. Some of the lovin' scenes were hot, but they were also kind of repetitive (and it's not often you'll hear me complain about this). And I couldn't take any more of Ryan's tumultuous internal monologue: "God, I want his dick in my mouth. I've never felt like this. But I'm not gay! I'm not. But wait, one time in junior high I kissed my best guy friend, and I liked it. What does this mean?" Oh, just shut the fuck up already. You KNOW what this means. (This is probably somewhat realistic when a man in his 30s is coming to terms with his sexuality. We just didn't need so damn much of it.)
From 70 to 100 percent, we get a "twist" (a completely predictable one, but a plot pivot nonetheless), a falling apart, and a reuniting. Dagger acts like a complete asshole (which comes out of left field, since he's so nice and understanding the rest of the time) and then doesn't apologize until it's almost too late. Then there's lots of emotion and more lovin' and Dagger figuring crap out about his family, etc.
There is definitely a HEA! And the angst isn't too anguished. I just think I wanted something deeper. The lust to love was fast, even with all of Ryan's hedging. The secondary characters felt flat and one dimensional. Some may see this as a GFY story. I'm not sure I did, although Ryan is certainly a gay first-timer. It's a decent story. But it would be better if it meandered less and were edited properly!

I have read almost all the books in this series (except the mmf, book 2) and the "Guarding the Gods" series. I have no idea why I skipped book one, but this is something I do from time to time and I must have had my reasons (likely one of the books in this series caught my attention and I was too impatient to start at the beginning)
So I corrected my mistake, when Christelle reminded me about this book.
Having read most books in this series, I already knew Dagger and Ryan. So far I have actually liked the the books about the Black Ice members better than the "Ivory Tower" onces. My favorite books being 6 and 7.
Dagger is the lead singer of the very famous rock band "Ivory Tower". He has been with men and women, but he classifies himself as gay, because he likes being with men more. He is also hiding in the closet, because being out might ruin his carreer.
Ryan is an entertainment journalist, who is about to interview Dagger for a magazine. Ryan has always been straight (except for a kiss he shared in his past) and he is still best friends with his ex-girlfriend.
When these two meet, Dagger is immediatley attracted to Ryan. Ryan...he is intruiged by Dagger, at least that's what he thinks he's feeling...
After Ryan catches Dagger in a compromising situation, Dagger contacts him, to talk things out. He has to be sure that Ryan won't share his secret with the rest of the world. The two start talking on the phone and from there on out, they keep on talking to each other. They become closer and soon Ryan is not so sure about his feelings anymore......because how can he be attracted to Dagger, since he is not gay.
Of course Ryan can't keep denying his feelings and he finally gives in to Dagger. Which was very HOT by the way.
A whole new world opens for Ryan and the both of them are as happy as can be.....
But some people may not want them to be happy and what will happen when their bog secret comes out...
Now this is where I started to get pissed off a bit. I have always liked Dagger in all the other books and come to think of it...this may have been the reason I skipped this book in the first place, after reading some reviews.
Beware....there are some spoilers and ranting ahead !!!
When their private bussiness becomes public bussiness, Dagger loses his shit !! He blames Ryan and goes on a yelling spree. Now this I could handle. Him actually hurting Ryan....not so much. What a freaking douche bag !!! I hated his guts for what he did and I was really dissapointed by the fact, that Ryan didn't even seem angry.
Sure he apologised...and I am sure he meant it, but still....what an ass !!
Still I enjoyed this story, but I am taking half a star of for Dagger being a douchebag and Ryan being a push-over !!
However, this is one of my favorite rock star series and for me, each book just got better and better....The only thing I really missed in this book were the other band-members....I don't understand why they weren't present in this book. They don't even get mentioned. I guess it might have to do with this being the first book of the series....

The bare bones of this story was really good, it's a trope that I usually like (rock stars and gay for you/out for you), but I found the execution sorely lacking.
First of all, the editing absolutely sucked. This author really needs to learn how to use punctuation, things like commas, apostrophes, colons, and semicolons. I don't remember how many times I read things like "he had two girl's on his lap", "he took me to a sport's bar", "his parent's wanted to see him", it was just bad. And the comma/hyphen/colon abuse in this book just hurt my heart. I had the Kindle edition, and there were also several points in the book where sentences or paragraphs were underlined, like they were marked for edit, but it never happened. Very sloppy!
There was head hopping, especially at the beginning of the story. We hopped from Dagger's head to Ryan's and back again from one paragraph to the next, with no real indication of which head we were in now, and the two characters voices were similar enough, it sometimes made it hard to discern whose head we were in now.
Oh and a man's chest should NEVER be referred to as breasts, sorry, nuh uh, no way. It yanked me out of the plot like a needled ripped off a record (google that, kiddies!) more than once.
Now on to the plot. Dagger is a gay rock god (apparently), who has somehow managed to keep even a whisper of his sexuality from ever hitting the press. I don't really see how that's possible, given that he has plenty of one offs, but I'll go with it.
Ryan is a straight entertainment reporter who has NEVER even thought about being with another guy, until he meets Dagger. Oh, except for that one time, when he kissed his best friend when he was around 14, but he apparently forgot all about that until he found himself attracted to Dagger, and then proceeded to think about it it perfect detail. Because THAT'S the sort of thing you forget. I remember every single guy I've ever kissed, you can bet your ass I'd remember kissing a female.
Dagger is kind of perfect and patient with Ryan, flirting and joking, but backing away when he thinks he's gone too far. Ryan drove me batty with his constant refrain of "he's so hot! No wait, I'm not gay! I want him! But I'm not gay! I want to touch him! I can't be gay!" This went on for several chapters. Now I understand being shocked to suddenly want a man for a first time, but we weren't really shown any real reason for why it would have been so traumatic a thing for Ryan. Even his parents were supportive once he finally told them.
Once they are finally together, the sex is hot, but totally unrealistic. Dagger gets Ryan off on the couch, they go to the bedroom where he gives him a blow job, then they frot against each other and he gets off again, then right after, he gets off in the shower, followed by another blow job before they leave the hotel. That's at LEAST 5 orgasms in just a few hours, and what seemed like 3 in under half an hour! Were these guys taking enhancement drugs, because they were constantly getting off and then being hard again in minutes.
But of course, they work things out, and everything is beautiful. The ending was a bit too Disney movie/movie of the week/after school special perfect to me, with even getting in contact and being totally happy and repentant and not at all attracted to his money.
So as I said, this had the potential for a solid 4 star story, but the editing, the constant back and forth, and things that just didn't make sense knocked the rating way down for me. I was very interested in reading the next book in the series though, just to see if it's any better, but I found out it's MMF, and with those, I usually want the female to either go away or for someone to push her off a cliff, so I'll be skipping that one, which means I'm probably done with this series. DNF at 46%. I will refrain from rating.
Well, can't say I didn't try. The synopsis sounded so promising, but unfortunately I never did find myself getting into the story.
The writing style grated with me from the very beginning. The POVs kept hopping from one to the other with no clear transition. It made it confusing and very difficult to get into the story.
As far the story goes? Well, truthfully there wasn't much to it for me.
Dagger is a sexy rock star who's gay but doesn't want his fans to find out about it.
Ryan is an entertainment journalist sent to interview Dagger. Ryan is also straight...so he thinks.
And spoiler alert...
The writing didn't flow, it seemed almost choppy. There wasn't much character development so I never really connected to Ryan and Dagger. (Can't speak for the whole book, since I only got half way.) But since I couldn't get into the story from the very get go, I just couldn't force myself to continue reading to see if it gets better.
I do seem to be in the minority with my review here, so if you enjoy steamy MM romance you might want to give it a try.
Thank you to the author for the chance to read this book. Sorry it didn't work for me.

Even with this being the case I still loved it as I was able to change my ideas about the book and accept it was going to be different from my initial thoughts.
At the beginning the book had a 'gay for you' vibe to it but this was not the case as the story progressed.
Ryan was also a likable character and I loved how responsive he was to Dagger's gentle coaxing. The only thing I did find slightly annoying was Ryan's tendency to over analyse every situation which I know was part of his personality but it just seemed to be overplayed at every point. The barriers it caused between him and Dagger were clearly evident and it left me frustrated.
Would I recommend this book?... Definitely if you like m/m books which have a gay for you feel to them.
I hope if you choose to read this one you will like it as much as I did :)

I will admit that when I first looked at this book I was intrigued by the cover. I LOVE badboy rockstars and judging by the cover this one was going to be perfect for me. However as I began to read the book I was sad to discover that Dagger wasn't a bad boy like I had hoped. I think he tried to put on this image for the public of being a drinking sexed up rocker but infact he was quite the opposite behind closed doors.

I loved Dagger and especially loved the care and attention he showed to Ryan. He didn't force himself upon him and helped an already nervous Ryan recognise what they could have together.
Dagger did seem a little insecure at times in my opinion and he doubted all sorts of things where Ryan was concerned which almost ruined it for me. But his sarcasm and the way he easily teased Ryan and coaxed him throughout the whole book made me love him so I tried to forget this negative aspect.

I felt as though I was slowly simmering to the point of boiling even in the scenes only involving kissing! The phone sex was even more amazing and well worth reading!
Would I recommend this book?... Definitely if you like m/m books which have a gay for you feel to them.

And things were going so well. Despite some headhopping at the beginning of the story and a general need of editing, I was enjoying it. It was heading for three stars until around 70% when I was too angry to believe in the subsequent reconciliation.
It might be worth noting that many of the rave reviews of this book are from readers who are new to m/m romance and received ARCs. I don't know if I'd be more lenient if I were new to the genre, though.
Some peculiarities: repeated references to male "breasts" and more than one description of Dagger's "dark skin" without any mention of his ethnicity. That's kind of important information for a reader who is trying to visualize a character.

This was book 1 in the "Rock Gods" series this was a really good book it was a little long but still very good. Ryan Pierce is an entertainment reporter who goes to interview bad boy rock Dagger Drummond of Black Ice. When Dagger first sees Ryan he is instantly attracted to him of course he forgot about the interview he has company in the shower with him and comes out in a towel. Ryan who is at a crossroads in his life, his live in girlfriend Beth dumped him and his life has gotten boring. Ryan get more than he wanted out of the interview turns out Dagger is gay as proof of the man blowing him. This book was hot. Dagger is not out and Ryan is straight or so he thought. The other thing I didn't like was that Ryan over thought everything I get that this was new for him. I didn't like Sebastian when he hit on Ryan I knew he was going to cause trouble. As these two get to know each other and fall in love things began to happen. Ryan took Sebastian with him when he interviewed Zander Metcalf of Ivory Tower he also hits on Ryan when he turns him down he hooks up with Sebastian. When scandal breaks Dagger blames Ryan and dumps him after he accidentally hurts him physically. This was a really good book but its long. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.

The writing -- prose, storytelling, etc -- is SO. DAMN. BAD.
There is no story here. The repetition is wondrous. The head hopping is perplexing. The fact that someone who has no writing ability whatsoever got this published is astonishing. And the ratings on this, nothing short of confounding.
The moral of the story: beware of bribed ARC readers and their misleading stars.
ps: The author rated her own story five stars. Had I seen that I wouldn't have even purchased it.

I really enjoyed this story about Dagger and Ryan. Dagger was great from the beginning, sexy and funny. His taunting Ryan during their phone calls was great to read. I didn't even mind the ex-girlfriend. Even with the instant attraction from Dagger and somewhat from Ryan, it was a slow build up of their relationship. Even though the book was pretty predictable with where it was headed, it was still a good story with strong characters. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Pues la verdad es que casi ni me acuerdo de qué iba... Mala señal. Creo que no me disgustó del todo (lo acabé) pero me resultó bastante flojo.
Y ese nombre del prota... Dagger, ¿En serio? Estas cosas sólo funcionan en inglés, en español hubiera sido "El puñales" y, claro, no mola tanto...

Ryan doesn’t know what to do with his attraction to his interview subject, rocker Dagger Drummond. I like that these two become friends before anything happens, and that Dagger never pressures him to do anything he’s not ready for. It helps that he’s no out either. I like that there Ryan’s ex, who is also his best friend encourages him to pursue his attraction and won’t let him feel guilty about their relationship.
My only criticism is I wasn’t thrilled with the inevitable conflict, and hated how stubborn both men were. It lasted longer than it should have.

Well, that was an experience.

This is my first ever M/M read. I've read M/F/M books and I've read books with M/M scenes in, but never read a solely male on male book! To be honest, it's not even something I've really even considered a whole lot.
I've read and reviewed for this author before and when she asked me to give this a go, having really enjoyed her previous works, I readily agreed.
And I have to say, I quite enjoyed it. I didn't, like some people have said they did, forget that it wasn't M/F, and I don't think I felt quite the same as I do when a man falls for his woman... I was always very much aware that this book was about two men. But I did enjoy it.
"I am completely in love with him. Nothing else compares. He is my everything; there is no other way to say it."
It was hot! There was a lot of sex in this book. A good, hefty dose of smut and one very sexy rockstar.
"All of this scares the shit out of me," Ryan said. "But the rush I get from you is like no other. I can't get enough and I can't walk away."
In Fall For Me, we meet Ryan, a straight entertainment journalist. Or so he thinks. His meeting with rockstar, Dagger, doesn't go quite as he expects and as a result of the continued contact afterward, Ryan is left questioning his sexuality, for the first time in his life.

To add to the complications, although Dagger has always been acutely aware of his sexuality, his life in the public eye won't allow him to live openly. Dagger and Ryan struggle with keeping their secret, whilst trying to build a new, delicate relationship.

I'll tell you what... for a guy who is unsure of whether he is gay or not, Ryan and Dagger sure are at it like rabbits for the majority of this book!
Not that I'm complaining. There is a great build up of sexual tension whilst Ryan comes to terms with his feelings, but once he's decided how he feels, they're off! Lol!
"Zero to a hundred," Ryan sighed.
"As in miles per hour?"
"Yeah, that's what it feels like whenever I'm with you."
I definitely feel that I didn't invest as much in Ryan and Dagger's relationship as I might usually do with an M/F character relationship. For me, there is something about a big, strong man who will do absolutely anything to protect, love and provide for his girl. In this book, both men are strong alpha characters and I found that a little hard to get my head around.
"I see we're in for a cock fight, to see which man tops. Is that it?"
It wasn't that I couldn't believe it, I just felt that the fundamental, respective male/female roles within the story were missing. I can't explain it any better than that.
"I was desperate for you to fall for me," Dagger said, then looked away. "And, somewhere in the middle of that... obsession, I realized how deeply I had fallen for you."
It certainly wouldn't put me off of reading an M/M book again. And I'm really glad I gave this a go. If you like M/M, or you fancy giving it a try, I'd recommend this.

So, do you ever read a book and not particularly care for it, then go back and reread it and love it? Well, that's what happened here. Fall For Me was my first ever Ann Lister book and frankly, the first time around I didn't care for either of the main characters all that much. But after two years and countless books by this author, after rereading the story, I saw the characters in a new light. I always thought Dagger was far too pushy, and I'm not sure why because all I saw this time around was how patient he was with Ryan. How much he took his time with Ryan and let him have his space when he needed it. I interpreted Ryan as being terrified of commitment in the first read through, but not so much this time around. He just had to take the time to truly look inside himself and find the man that was always there. He needed to learn to accept himself and be comfortable in his own skin.
Dagger and Ryan had amazing chemistry and I loved that the progression of their relationship, both emotionally and physically, moved at a natural and realistic pace. It wasn't rushed. The characters are well-developed and interesting. I loved getting a backstage pass to seeing a small pierce what life on the road for a rockstar is like.
I really enjoyed rereading this story. Although the story is well-written, reading it compared to Ann's later books, I can see just how much she has grown as a writer. She has really honed her craft well and become an amazing author, definitely one of my favorites!! Very enjoyable and recommended!!

This book was well written and flowed well, I just didn't feel a connection between the MC's, at least not Ryan. I wasn't sure if Ryan would ever commit to the relationship.
Dagger for all his pushing during the book, backed off when he really should have pushed for the relationship to work.
It wasn't a badly written book, it just wasn't for me. Ryan had me so frustrated it was hard to enjoy the book.

I'm not really sure what I should say about this. The idea was really good and one I thought I would love. Some parts worked well and others didn't. I'm giving this 3.5 but that isn't a very sure rating for me. I'm rounding it up and down in my head all the time.
Things I liked.
- The gay for you. It was believable, I guess.
- The chemistry between the two MC's.
- The fact it's part of a series,but I won't be continuing it Had it worked more, that would have had me very excited.
- It has a HEA.

Maybe this would have worked better as an m/f book? It certainly felt like that a couple of times. No matter what we live or what we think, sometimes it takes just one person to come into our lives to make us challenge we believe. This was a fabulous story about two men, Ryan and Dagger. Ryan thought he would be alone for the rest of his life and not quite understanding why. Ryan, an entertainment journalist, met Dagger, lead singer of Black Ice, and realized all that he thought was his life was not what it was. Ryan always over thinks everything and needs logic in his life. Dagger put his own demons and past in a locked heart that know one knows about until he met Ryan. The two men were drawn together for the persons they are inside, but of course their equal hotness just helps the dynamic. Dagger teaches Ryan to feel while Ryan teacher Dagger to forgive. The two men fall in love but are scared to say it, due to Ryan not ever having emotions toward a man and Dagger because of the locked heart. Will it ever be enough?

I had a feeling this was going to let me down. Probably because I never have much luck with rock star stories. I would have liked this a lot more had Ryan been a bit less of a ninny.Seriously, how long does one person need to freak out about being attracted to someone of the same sex? Get over it, dude, there are worse things. Seriously. You've got a hot, rich rock star panting after you and you're just as attracted to him, but you're freaking out because he's a guy?
To make things worse, Ryan and Dagger both turned out to be kinda douchey. I mean, Ryan's whole backstory with his old friend? Dick move, bro. And Dagger's reaction to that story getting leaked? Completely out of left field.
I suppose these two deserved each other.

The hot steamy scenes were exactly that and so tastefully written. I loved that Ryan felt it was "right" to be with Dagger! I also adored Beth who Ryan confides everything in ~ well except WHO this man is, and the advise she provides him. See NO one knows Dagger is gay ~ He is known for the number of groupies he has been with that's public knowledge ~ the men he's been with NO ONE knows cause he's afraid that it would ruin the image of the band. So Ryan & Dagger's relationship is a "secret".
A perceived betrayal had me...
so heart breaking when it all went down. The "secrets" that Dagger revealed to Ryan ~ the aftermath well I was freaking..

Boy truer words have never been spoken and maybe that's why their relationship was strong because they weren't "chicks" and they actually talked to one another! My favorite quote in the ENTIRE book is when the Author said:
"discover what it truly means to love; love unconditionally, love without restrictions or labels ~ simply love."
and that is exactly what Fall For Me is about. It's powerful love story about accepting who you are and finding what you've been missing In your life sometimes in the most unsuspecting of places.

This wasn't baaad... but wasn't super good either. It was just okay.
I had massive issues with repetitiveness in thoughts for the MCs as well as how the story was told. The POVs of the MCs were a mess and the constant flipping did my head in.
The sexy times would've saved this but they were too many and I actually started skipping them after a while. Honestly, this could've easily have been about a 100 pages shorter and would've still kept the essence of the story.
As it was, it was too long.

Ryan Pierce is a journalist for a popular music magazine in LA. He’s interviewed more rock stars than he can remember. Unbeknownst to him, his next interview is going to turn his world upside down and make him question who he is. Dagger Drummond is rock star gold. Everything about him oozes sex appeal, from his striking good looks to his air of confidence. The fact that he truly is a talented singer/songwriter is just a plus. Ryan gets a great interview from the meeting, but when he returns for something he left behind he learns a secret Dagger will do anything to keep that way.
Dagger has kept the truth about his sexuality a secret for fear it would ruin his career. Ryan has lived his life as a straight man, never even considering he might be gay, until he meets Dagger. The attraction is evident from the start, but Ryan denies it to Dagger and even to himself for the longest time. The two form a unique bond of friendship based on late night phone calls, random texts, trust and mutual attraction. Dagger is a good boy though, and keeps his hands to himself until he’s sure Ryan is ready to reciprocate. A snake in the grass, a jackass that is jealous not only of their relationship, but of Ryan’s success as well threatens to tear this couple apart before they can even commit to each other.
What a fantastic love story between the two most unlikely victims. Dagger has to work for Ryan’s affections and trust me they are well earned. This is not an add water equals love story, no, this was a slow ride to make it to the finish line. I’m not usually a fan of angst, but Lister made that aspect of the story work in her favor by turning it into an internal debate Ryan had with himself about who he was. And more importantly who he wanted to be. There was a role reversal along the way that threw me at first, as Ryan become the strength where as it was usually Dagger. But it played out beautifully.
I enjoyed a fellow bloggers review of this book where she stated she is not usually a fan of M/M books, and even though she skipped the sex scenes in this book, she LOVED the love story. I think that’s the best description for this book. I don’t recommend skipping the sex scenes though, I read those twice actually. These two are just plain sexy as hell once they get going, and they don’t know when to stop. They love to kiss and oh my god Lister knows how to write those kisses, I was fanning myself before they ever even made it past that first kiss!
I will recommend a tall glass of water, a fan and some Kleenex before you begin. Fans of sexy, passionate alpha male loves stories with a good dose of angst and some emotionally charged chapters will love this book.

I have read many rock star romance books which I have enjoyed but I must admit it is not my favourite genre. I saw a review of this book on ggr review.com and was intrigued as it said this book was a perfect read. I totally agree with that review. Yes one of the main characters is a rock star and the other a music journalist but that's such a small part of this story. This is about raw love from two intelligent guys that have to find the power and strength to deal with the past, the future as well as their own identities together.
My emotions and feeling were extremely high while reading Fall For Me and I found I was constantly telling myself to slow down my reading speed as I just wanted to get to the end of the Book and hope for a happy ever after.
This is the first book I have read by Anne Lister and I am about to download more of her books while I try and wait patiently for the next perfect read in this series!

I finished this book yesterday and I can't stop thinking about it.... I absolutely loved it. We meet rocker Dagger and entertainment journalist Ryan... Dagger is a closeted rock star and Ryan goes to interview him. From that very first meeting you feel the sparks between the two.. Problem is Ryan is "straight". They immediately strike up a friendship and even though Dagger knows Ryan is straight he never misses an opportunity to flirt.. Here is when Ryan starts to doubt his sexuality because he can't stop thinking of Dagger.. When he finally accepts he has feeling for Dagger, the emotional journey begins.. I felt like I was on a rollercoaster, having the best ride of my life.. If you're into M/M books, this is one I highly recommend.. I would definitely reread this book again.... I can't wait for the next book in this series...

this fast-paced, well-written novel drew me in from the first page to the last. the characters are well fleshed out that their personalities leap out of the book's pages particularly Ryan's tendency to over analyze things - something which i can relate to a lot.
the dialogs are often emotional but without the histrionics. the intimate scenes are very sensual, passionate and detailed and some readers might feel uncomfortable reading them. i leave it to the reader then to skip those if s/he wishes to do so. however, i would like to point out the couple involved are in love and their love for each other makes everything different. i would consider their moments together, therefore, as highly erotic but definitely not pornographic.
overall, this is a book that will make you involved and invested in its storyline and in its characters. although it might make you sad in a few places, it will leave you in the end with a good feeling that stays with you long after the last page has been turned.

author Ann Lister's first novel in her Rock God series delves into the lives and loves of some of the players in the music business. it deals with those events in life that we usually mistake for random and insignificant but are not. it also talks about risks and choices, falling in and out of love, friendship, betrayal, forgiveness, healing and acceptance.
this fast-paced, well-written novel drew me in from the first page to the last. the characters are well fleshed out that their personalities leap out of the book's pages particularly Ryan's tendency to over analyze things - something which i can relate to a lot.

October marked the highly anticipated release of Book 9 in The Rock God Series, Reinventing Us. Side note: I have yet to don my big girl panties to read it, but once said courage is donned, I’ll dive right in *snorts* Yes, I am a wally.
The release left me feeling nostalgic - it made me think of the couple who started this epic journey and heralded the beginning of my love for this series and author. Ryan and Dagger hold a very special place in my heart. They were unleashed to the world on 9 November 2013 but changed my reading life on 26 November when I took a chance on an unknown-to-me writer and downloaded this beaut.
“And feeling is the best part of anything. That’s how we know we’re alive.”
And, boy, did I feel! With each page I fell more and more in love with this couple, most especially Dagger.
Can you imagine the strain of trying to hide one of the most fundamental parts of what makes you - you? Well, this is what faces Dagger Drummond every day. All his success, the Rock God status, and more money then you could ever want doesn’t automatically equal happiness. He is still searching for that elusive ‘One’.
Yet, demons from his past make him question if he even deserves the chance.
Well, imho Dagger, you do. You. Deserve. To. Be. Loved.
Meeting Dagger throws Ryan’s world off its axis. His burgeoning feelings for this enigmatic man make Ryan question everything he held to be true.
A connection this intense can’t be ignored - surely? You literally feel the electricity coming off the pages. Don’t believe me? Check out the limo scene *winks*
It is by no means plain sailing for our duo, but some things in life are just worth the fight.

Some stories stay with you long after the last page has closed and Fall for Me is one of mine. I have to confess and say that I read this book (at least) once every year. There is just something comforting about picking up this book and revisiting with characters that have become to mean so much.
Some may say I’m a sandwich short of a picnic *snorts*, but hey, everyone needs that one quirky friend in their life *giggles*
Fall For Me will forever be in my Top Ten reads of all time. This is more than a love story. This is the thing we all secretly wish for and cherish if we’re lucky enough to find it - finding our other half.

I've been wanting to read one of this author's works for a while and so when the opportunity came about in a challenge I jumped at the chance to finally check out "Fall For Me"
Overall I enjoyed the world building and storyline of this book that featured a rock god closet musician and a straight music industry reporter meeting up only to find there is a chemistry they can't deny. There was enough angst and conflict to make things interesting while the erotic scenes hat some heat that is toe curling good. Overall I think the author's future in the m/m genre is quite promising.
My issues were that things started out a bit bumpy for me. Confusing alternating POV slants were distracting and left me scrambling to identify where things were going. My thought is that giving isolated POV glimpses of each character then switching to only one wasn't the best of decisions for this story. It wasn't until the focus stayed on one POV that I felt the emotionalism that pulled me in and I finally felt connected. The other issue I had was that I wanted a more of a manly slant(if that makes sense) in the overall story. The mindset of a superstar male who is still in the closet would have me think they would overcompensate in the machismo department while the straight male fighting against the draw of being attracted to another male also seemed to lack that spark of emotion I seemed to be missing. That was MY mindset which didn't jive with what I was reading nor convince me my thought was wrong.
Overall. I liked the promising style of writing by this author. With a few tweeks and continued experience in the m/m genre I do feel I'll become a fan.
