I've been abducted by a filthy rich alien who thinks I'll make a good pet. He catches me, cages me, and flies me light years away to a whole new world. He fastens his collar around my neck and marks me as his. But he's abducted the wrong woman.
My alien master thinks he can tame me. He's wrong. He can punish me. He can use advanced alien submission technology on me. He can even seduce me. I’ll never submit to his leash.
Amazon Top 100, USA Today bestselling, and #1 bestselling author in multiple Amazon categories, Loki Renard writes sizzling hot, occasionally dark and twisted stories of dominance, submission and discipline.
She hates being taken captive by Aliens and sold to be their pet, so she does WHATEVER it takes for her owners to return her to the pet shop. Back at the pet shop, Arkan realizes Jen isn't submissive or obedient at all and decides to take her home for more training.
Arkan uses a more aggressive approach to punishments, but whatever he dishes out, Jen can take it, and she doesn't listen or give a crap what he tells her. LOL, these two had me laughing so much throughout this book. They had wicked banter, and the spice was chef's kiss. 🔥
We meet Arkan's brothers, and I can't wait to read Zain's book Collarded.
4 stars. First off, I’m in fucking love. With Jen. She’s an absolute brat and she’s so fierce and hilarious and I love that she takes zero shit from anyone. And Ark is perfect for her honestly. This was just a fun time. Completely ridiculous, but also too real for comfort at times lol. When they talked about Earth and humans…oof. The base truth of it all hit deep a few times, not gonna lie.
I’m glad I picked this up. I think I’m gonna come back around for the next book. I hate that we didn’t get the epilogue that I love, the sappy one you know? But the peek into the next book Was intriguing so🤷🏻♀️ It did it’s job. Lol
Humans as pets, pretty standard in terms of the genre. I wasn’t a huge fan of the main female character - mainly because I was confused by her sudden 180 in terms of willingness to be owned.
Very short so don’t expect too much plot-wise or character growth-wise. A quick read if you’re craving something in the human pet space.

Real life conversations I had with myself through this book: “He’s nice to her…kinda” “He literally wants to train her to be a good pet” … “He loves her-“ “Did he ever say that 🤨🤨?? ALSO HES A SLAVE TRADER WHO THINKS SHES BELOW HIM IN INTELLECT AND STATUS-“ … “The sex is good.” “….yes, the sex is good. Two stars.”
DNF at 60% and I feel I read enough of this to fairly rate it a solid two. Interesting premise just ruined by sloppy indecisive world building and presentation. I get it's a fun book and not a "serious" work ...but the text itself doesn't because it fluctuates between being a campy silly parody and being an earnest work of sci-fi romance.
We're constantly told the aliens are evolved and civilized to the point they don't use violence anymore, except wait, they murder each other and have prisons and euthanize humans and venerate their past warrior culture. None of this hypocrisy is acknowledged by them whatsoever though, of course.
Sometimes they're fancy modern rich people who dress in suits and ball gowns, until she remembers they need to be alien so she gives them weird "warrior" garb. Their architecture is earth like and so is a lot of their society, they all want human pets as a trend except they know nothing about us and also we're apparently a relatively new discovery for them? Yet then they contradict this vibe by saying we used to be considered a civilized society but now we aren't, so how long is "used to be" supposed to be?
Writers should actually craft a general timeline before they start writing because frankly it felt like she was making shit up as she went along.
The MC is insufferable and annoying. She plans to "live in the wilds and survive" ON AN ALIEN PLANET. I thought this was badass at first because it shows that if her plan for freedom is to live solo in an alien jungle it must speak to her background and survival skills. But silly me, that would be for a novel that has five seconds of thought put into it, because five pages later we learn that SHE HAS NEVER TOUCHED GRASS. What?
She continues to be stupid and annoying after that and I get the vibe I'm supposed to think she's special or something, but just no...
There were some funny tidbits in here but I'm not forcing myself to keep going for them.
Vicious van lifers roamed the forests, beaches, highways, byways, and anything remotely drivable in small packs, stopping only to dance to viral beats from time to time. They had started out as peaceful people, escaping society, but over time they naturally evolved into small tribes raiding other tribes for spare tires, cute storage options, and life-hacks.
I enjoyed this book so much. When I finished it, I actually took a few days to wrap my head around everything that had happened and reflect on how epic, exciting, and refreshing this story has been. Loki Renard is an excellent writer and a brilliant creator of worlds. She has a deep understanding of humanity and human nature. I love everything she writes but I especially love her alien stuff! This story is set in Euphoria, a world inhabited by peaceful aliens (Euphorians) who have evolved beyond primitive speech and communicate telepathically. Earth has been largely destroyed due to unchecked greed and its consequences, and humans are being kept as pets on Euphoria for their own good. The rhetoric sounds a lot like the justification for keeping animals in zoos: altruistic on its face but largely ineffectual for the species as a whole. But there’s another perspective that’s much less altruistic and more sinister and exploitative. There’s danger and intrigue and family secrets and scandals and corrupt politicians and all the sparks that fly when one unruly human woman is caught up in the pet trade and one patient pet trainer is determined to bring her to heel. The Euphorians won’t know what hit them. Loki Renard continues to outdo herself. I’m excited about this new world and eagerly anticipating the next installment!
The hero is a kidnapper. He kidnaps humans off of Earth to become pets for aliens. He is very careful. He doesn't take moms, dads, or kids. He takes loners.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
He rescues the heroine from an attempted attack by other humans. She does not want to be a pet and keeps trying to escape. So the hero keeps beating her and calling it a spanking. They he inserts sex toys and either doesn't let her orgasms or keeps forcing her to orgasm.
He tells her this is all for her own good. Meanwhile the hero is trying to keep his family together (he has brothers, after their father was murdered a few years ago).
I didn't feel any romance between them. She talked about how hard her life was and she wouldn't submit. And he kept spanking her and telling her she'd feel better.
I liked the main character, but I always root for the underdog or the person who has been pushed around! And she has that in SPADES. She has an indomitable spirit that is easy to connect with, and the male lead is pretty hot if not stoic. I will say I enjoyed his rare smiles and the humor of those scenes. I am hoping somewhere in the series she comes across a device or magic potion that enables her to telepathically scream at these aliens! Overall very very good. I read it in my spare time at my job, in one shift. I only wish it was longer but for free, such a gift! Truly well written and easy to imagine this world and the aliens themselves and even the architectural descriptions are lovely to read instead of the normal boring scenic description. I will be back for more of these works! Good job and be proud author 🤌
41/2 stars - Interesting plot and effective world- building from a talented writer. I enjoyed the fact that the MMC had an emotional arc relating to his whanau/ family that resonated. Jen is a badass that you would want in your corner. It misses a 5 from me as not all of Jen’s backstory is revealed- however many readers may find that far more satisfying to infer more of her life story. With a sequel in Caged featuring a new couple, we might get more of Arc (yes I think Loki was deliberate with the obvious pun - which I really enjoy) and Jen. Can’t wait to read this next story 😁
I would say more like 2 and a half stars. Alien brothers run a pet shop where humans are pets. Earth is pretty messed up so they come and capture humans and make pets of them. They only pick certain humans as they do not want to take parents from children. Jen does not want to be a pet and runs wild so the owners bring her back to the pet shop. Ark , one of the brothers decides to take her home with him. She misbehaves and he spanks her. When he sees spanking her isn't working as well as he thought he uses sex toys on her. The two end up making love. First book I have read from the author. I will probably try another book.
Because humans don't make good pets! Jennifer is the worst possible pet for this alien planet! Her survival skills are exceptional, and she sure spices up the lives of the aliens who think they can own her. Ashkar, the alien pet master was already fascinated with her when he harvested her from Earth. I love the unpredictability that Loki Renard infuses her female lead characters with, it's refreshing and fun to read. You have to read how Ash attempts to train her and how she totally derails his training plans, lol.
As much as I Love everything Loki writes, this is truly one of the BEST stories that I've read 😄. I can't wait for the whole series to come out, cuz it's gonna Rock 😉. Great storyline, tons of action, yummy sexy scenes, intense situations and just wonderful characters that will keep you turning pages long into the night 😊. Thanks again Loki, you still reign as the queen of my heart and the BEST of all the storytellers and I'll Always read everything you write 🤓.
I like that Jennifer is strong. The parts about disciplining and the master/pet interactions are in conflict with that for me. Some of which make me dislike Ark, who I originally liked as a character. The sex is okay, could be worse, so there is that. Overall this is like one of those stories you see in the free websites where individuals learn to write. It’s obviously not professional and did not draw me in. I wonder if going back to the free sites would be comparable to stuff like this on Amazon KU.
I’m interested to see where this story goes and how the brothers come together to overcome the human abductions. Jennifer and Arkan seem well matched, she likes to rebel and he likes to punish her. This story is a bit different from other alien abductions where you have a very advanced civilisation that is going backwards through greed and power plays. Looking forward to more.
I have really enjoyed this book and it was a quick read for me, I didn't want to put it down. It is hard not to like the aliens even though they are kidnapping humans and making them into pets. The MFC Jen is a force to be reckoned with and is not compliant with the way that humans have behaved before and refuses to belong to anyone other than herself. I can't wait to start the next book on the series.
3.5 stars Interesting alien story. Humans do not make great pets, and I think these aliens are going to continue to find that out. I was more interested in politics on their planet than the romance aspect of this story. I want to know more about what happens to Ark's brothers and what happens with the council.
Lol, this is a fun, high spirited alien dom/sub romance that is overall very mild in the way of discipline. A stand alone that introduces you to a world and society where humans are seen as nothing more than posh pets to be groomed and played with. And with an explosive ending that is well deserved.
Okay friends, I love a good bratty pet x stern master story and this definitely delivers. Highly recommend if you’re just getting into it. The only downside of the book is dragging myself through the plot, but that’s okay since it’s not a super long read! Overall well written and I look forward to reading more by Loki Reynard 💕
What do you get when you mix a fierce, stubborn, hard fmc with an Alien that wants to teach her how to relax and enjoy life...pure chaos. This is a fast read with an interesting story and steam. I liked the brothers and their dynamics and cannot wait to see which human they end up with. Enjoyable read.
This was a quick and easy read! I enjoyed it, was surprised at the amount of plot in such a short book. I do always love a brat being made into a good girl ;)
The epilogue made me mad. I wanted to see the end of Ark and Jen’s story, not the beginning of Emily and Zain’s. It just really threw me off.
PASS. THE HEROINE HAS SUCH A POTTY MOUTH, IT'S DOWNRIGHT ANNOYING even if I enjoy a sassy heroine. There's courage and resilience, and then there's just scared and awfully bratty for no reason. Guess which one's the heroine?
Secondly, it's a novella that barely has development apart from smut. So yeah, thank you, NEXT!!
I laughed throughout the reading of this book. The storyline was unique and interesting. I usually don’t care for abrasive females but Jennifer was a scream. The length was perfect. Looking forward to the next book in series.
If you like the humans as pets trope you will enjoy this. There is a good balance between spice and an actual plot. The alien world is interesting enough to keep things engaging but not so weird as to feel like you need much backstory
Jen was just so annoying for so long ghat it was hard for me to like her. But overall a decnt book, not as much fun as other loki renard reads, but i will still read through the series,i guess.
I love her books , but this one did nothing for me. I can usually put myself in her books, not this one. It started out good and then it became boring , it just seems to repeat the same page over and over..
Jennifer is a pet to an alien family but they are returning her because she is bad. Ark takes her back but has to train her better and he decides to keep her. There are other factors happening that would be detrimental to their planet. See how they band together.
4 ⭐️ A short alien/captive story with quite a lot of funny moments. I liked Jennifer, she was feisty. And I liked how she decided to stay and fight for Arkan’s family against their enemies. It was sweet. I think they made a good fit.
2.5 stars. It was okay but the mc got a little annoying at times. There was some funny moments but it's a short read so hard to connect with any characters. I do wish it was explained more why they are keeping humans as pets when they know they are sentient.
