Chief Engineer Frank Crowe directs the construction of Boulder Dam on the mighty Colorado and fends off the threats of interfering, penurious syndicate directors and of IWW agents determined to control the workers or destroy the project.
Historical fiction intertwining the construction of the Hoover Dam with the growth of Las Vegas. Well written, strong characters, great primer to The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged.
