I love reading ghost stories, and part of what makes Rev. Hunter's collections stand out are how he lays out the information--giving you the setting and the history first to set the scene, his "Haunt Meter" to let you know how many chills to expect, and his conversational, somewhat folksy way of writing. The fact that his is a reverend gives credence and gravity to the tales he recounts.
