Hi everyone! Here are a few facts about me:
I am a multi-published author in mass market historical fiction, or in other words, I write historical romances. I have a background in education, specifically social studies, but I've also dabbled in directing a public television station and serving as a police liaison officer.

I've been married to my wonderful husband, David, for twenty years and I have a teenage son who has yet to encounter a sport he doesn't love. Basically, when I'm not frantically writing and eyeing deadlines, I'm running a taxi service to various sports venues around town. Heck, around the entire state of Kansas.

Speaking of which, I live in a small town on the prairie where everyone gathers at the football field for Fourth of July fireworks and the Lions Club serves free ice cream and watermelon. Where going to the ball diamonds, the grocery store, and the truck stop for dinner is always a social occasion. Where the police department is all of three guys and the Chief drives a PT Cruiser.

My life is full of love and adventure, which always carry into the historical romances I pen.

Strong, independent and capable, the heroine finds herself thrust back in time from present Texas to historical Ireland one night during a freak storm. Actually, she's been brought back by a less than competent witch who has no idea how to send her back. There she is immediately shot but British soldiers and left to die in the woods. The hero, a wanted outlaw, finds the heroine in his secret camp and instantly knows she's trouble. His band of soldiers are discovered by the enemy and they are forced to flee. The hero is very much standoffish towards the female at first and it takes some time for him to trust her. But soon he realizes just how strong she is and their banter becomes light and teasing as they gain a mutual respect for one another. Both tend to grate on the others nerves but they are stuck together until she reach the safety of his sisters castle. The hero has known all his life that he will die by hanging on the year of 26 birthday. His visions are never wrong and as a result everyone around him treats him with kid gloves. His parents have raised him to die, sad as it is. He was always forgiven for anything he did or said as a child and was given a lot of freedom. He wants no lasting relationships and has no interest in anything besides his mission against the British. He admits that his rebellion is purely selfish because he wants people to remember him. He also says that he would just prefer to disappear, not have anyone mourn or celebrate his death. He really was very much a martyr. He absolutely refuses to believe that he's able to change his fate despite the heroines offer to take him back with her to her time and it's only when he sees a vision of his son that he even attempts to try to make anything different. It grew a little frustrating at times because he was so stubborn and blind but I loved the heroine and her steadfast refusal to give up on him. She was by far the highlight of this book. She was like zina warrior princess. She was feminine yet she could ride her horse, shoot a gun and out wit most other men. She did it with a quiet grace and confidence that I had to admire. She only cries when she's alone and when everything has finally built up to the point where she can't fight it any longer. This is also a continuation from the previous Leslie Lafoy book featuring that couples son as the lead hero.
