Love Bound

Rate this book
Dear Santa,
So I was peeping at the neighbor's house and just look at what was topping his tree:

Now I know that I have been and little naughty this year, but I would love to know what goes on with that sexy bound angel next door...

Photo Description: A beautiful naked man with black feathered wings stands with his eyes closed and his face pointing towards the heavens. His hands are cross in front of his groan and are bound at the wrists with thick rope.

This story was written as a part of the M/M Romance Group's "Stuff My Stocking" event. Group members were asked to write a story prompt inspired by a photo of their choice. Authors of the group selected a photo and prompt that spoke to them and wrote a short story.

Married to the love of her life in a beautiful relationship based on mutual goofiness, Jessica also warps minds as an instructor in Seton Hill University's Writing Popular Fiction MFA program. Her dog, Ruthie, doesn't seem to care that Jessica's an award-winning and best-selling author in multiple genres. She just wants to play tug of war with Jessica's pages.

***** 5 Angelic stars *****

The feathers were black and soft as a summer breeze. (...) He took in Stev's bare skin, gleaming in the dim light, his sculpted chest, his lean ass, his wings... and his bound hands.

"I want it all. Everything you want to do to me. I want to take it. I want you. I want your control. I want your intensity, your heat, your cock. I want you to fuck me so hard I feel it for eternity. I want you Max. All of you. Please."

Losing someone you love is never easy, but losing them on Christmas Eve must be especially difficult. It's supposed to be a time of joy and sharing, but for Max, whose lover died in a plane crash on his way home five years ago, it will never be the same. Caught in his grief, Max is unable to go on and has almost stopped living. Even though Ralph at the diner where Max got the news seems interested, Max cannot stop remembering and wanting Steve back.

It takes a firm admonishment from Ralph telling Max in no uncertain terms that he needs to let go and move on to rattle Max enough to start seeing the truth of that. But it takes a small miracle and an angelic visitor to help Max do exactly that.

This is a bittersweet story about learning to deal with loss and moving on. I loved how Max finally understood that it is okay to let go, it doesn’t mean he will stop loving Steve. But he is gone, and Max is still alive. While the whole story was beautiful, the final lines with their message of hope were my favorite.

If you like bittersweet stories with a hopeful ending, if you enjoy reading about men dealing with grief, and if you believe in the healing power of love, the symbolism of a few feet of nylon rope not withstanding, then you will probably like this free short story.

Short is good, but unless one is extremely talented, very short can fail to say everything there is to say.
This is the case with this little M/M short.
It's good, but, as writing is "only" good, I missed a couple of transitions, a couple of words here and there.

That said, the story is romantic and has a nice erotic touch to it.

This is a great and very emotional short story about loss, grief and about letting go. The MC’s were perfect and I liked the intensity between them. This would have been a great plot idea for a longer story; I guess I would have loved it just as much as the short one. 5 stars!
