Really like the tension between Batman (B) and Superman (S) in this storyline. What makes this such an interesting read is the traditional roles have been reversed: S is now the 'hardliner' and B is the 'by the book' advocate. As the lines get drawn it is becoming very clear that something has to give; and when it does there is going to be lots of collateral damage.
Dc Comics, pre-New 52 was known for experimenting with various concepts and gave a lot of creative freedom which gave them a whole lot of variety and the envy of their competitors. Initially, when the publisher relaunched their superhero line with new 52, fans were up in arms at essentially forgetting decades of excellent stories for a new continuity. Some imprints were closed, long-time editors retired and the new of editorial interference didn't help assuage the fears of readers that DC was becoming too bland.
However, those fears were unfounded as DC only moved its more adventurous endeavors to digital comics. One of these efforts was the adaptation of the hit game Injustice: Gods Among Us. How far was DC willing to push the envelope here? Well, in the third chapter of this series, it had company icon Superman kill the Joker in cold blood. In this chapter, it had Superman takeover the country of Bialya. We probably won't that in the main new 52 line soon but these digital first efforts sure are entertaining and only 99 cents per 22 page chapter too. Not a bad deal and it helps save rain forests.
Carry on DC don't worry about haters.. variety is good. Awesome. This series was a companion to the game of the same name and pits heroes in DC universe against each other.
I have always loved comics, and I hope that I will always love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics or Diamond Comics or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on the international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I can. I Love comics to bit, may comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.
I am really on a roll with these comics. On another note, Superman has been my all time favorite superhero. It seems that no matter what the world is going through, he always finds a way to save the day...sometimes at a great cost to him.
Superman becomes the one-man United Nations, calling for a world wide ceasefire, and end to all wars, or he'll end them. He's declared to stop reactionary justice, now he'll stop evil before it happens.
The best issue so far. Superman overcame his grief, he has revealed his alter ego and he is seeking for a new world order! All crimes shall be punished to achieve peace.
