All of your favorite characters return for this third installment in the Charity Series. Follow Levi, Charity, Eli, Raven, and Wesley as they embark on new adventures, including forbidden love, new friendships, vampire battles, the all-too-familiar chaos, and even tragedy. This is Book 3 in the Charity Series and is a collection of novellas that interweave the stories of Raven, Eli, and Wesley. It will make you laugh, cry, hold your breath, and make you wish this beloved series wasn’t over, or is it?
DeAnna Kinney is what you could call an eclectic writer at its best. If she can dream it, she can write it. Her main focus is YA Paranormal but also writes New Adult and Adult Romance, Action Adventure, Children's books, and even an Apocalyptic Christian Thriller Romance. She considers herself as fun-loving and a bit peculiar. Besides writing, she loves reading, all things purple, Star Wars, acting like a goofball with all of her friends, and dancing while she cooks (she can see her kids rolling their eyes as we speak). She believes whole-heartedly that chocolates and a good book go hand in hand. And, having experienced it herself, believes utterly in the power of true love. She lives in the lovely North Carolina with her husband, four kids, and a dog named Link (aka Monster).
She is very hands-on with her fans and thrives on their interaction.
Her upcoming works include:
*Maybe something about Zombies, Bullying, and perhaps the end of the world, although not necessarily in that order.
Last series in Charity[Is it?Tell Me the Answer is NO anna] and being in love with this series from start,i am really sad to part with it.
Review:Let me gather my thoughts and i will be here soon.. ;) ------------------------- I didn't knew we had two other stories along with Raven's until i started reading and imagine my surprise..n it's sure is a good one.
Raven's Rose:We already met the bad turned good vampire Raven, who helped charity in many occasions. Now it's his story to find his - once long lost - love Rose aka Sophia Rose. The story is simple yet beautiful.I really liked their journey and how Raven promises to protect Rose at all costs.Though i felt that Raven n Rose's story moved a bit fast for my liking..i understood that later when i saw not one but three stories..yet i felt their interaction could have been prolonged!I will not leak out any spoilers but the end was dramatic and everything i thought..cos only after passing through hurdles,we are going to win.Raven and Rose story shows us that even one is Vampire and Werewolf, their Love is above all..beautiful!
Eli's Destiny:We had glimpses of Eli in Raven's Rose, but i didn't really thought that this is how his story will go..I was quite shocked.Eli love for Shae was so pure and full of affection, that i felt that he shouldn't be parted from her ever. But as Charity says,Eli's destiny was waiting for him and he got it at last.I think this story touched my heart deeply..it showed there's a hope for us in future even when we get through problem..a new beginning after a day's end.
Wesley's Hope:Aha..Our attitude and cocky Wesley's at last meets his match - Hope.In this case it's Levi, who did the matchmaking not Charity..lol.It's such a change to know Wesley on a personal level and know why is he like this..what's his reason for the attitude...and that's what makes him and hope Closer. There's a line in book where it says - Individually they are so broken and wounded, that together they are perfect.I think that's true.Wesley's story shows us that for every one out there is ur match, just be ready to catch them when it's time and hold it close.
All through the story we see Charity making her presence and somehow directly or indirectly solving their problems. Her triplets...Levi,Josh-Ashley and everyone together makes this series more beautiful, complete and perfect.I love the end lines how Hope describes of charity and Levi and their love,i think nothing could get better than that.!
I will truly miss this story..but i am not ignoring Anna's clue's towards a certain triplets who may make an appearance in future, and i am clinging to it..cos i may part with this series, but i am not letting go of these characters so soon. They will be always part of one of the best book series which read, which is simple, heart touching and conveys a message to all at end.
Is this a review or a good-bye to a group of characters I’ve come to know, sometimes loving them, sometimes not! I do know that Deanna Kinney can write and has proved it once again with her final book in the Charity Series, a great collection of short stories that bring closure to the question: “What happened to….?” Raven’s Rose brought everyone back, at least for a cameo appearance and in the end, a Happily Ever After for ALL that felt right!
The first story, highlighting “bad vamp gone good,” Raven and his love for Sophia - Emotional and sigh-worthy for sure! Next, Eli, Levi’s brother, often a bit of a pain, finds love in Shae, a girl with mismatched eyes, who mesmerizes him instantly. Their back and forth dialogue is cute, funny and love is in the air, for sure our Eli is a goner! And then something happens that rips Eli to the core, and ends his hopes for a future together. (Yep, shock time, pain time grab a hankie time, for sure!) Will he ever find someone? Is he destined to be alone? All he wants is to see those beautiful eyes one more time. Last, Wesley is alone, still showing his temper, still hiding his soft and gooey side and currently the official babysitter for the daughter of Sargeant Mason, an equally hot-headed and determined young woman. Has he met his match? Will they irritate the heck out of each other or will their tempers fuel the flames of love?
Deanna Kinney sent me a recommendation for Raven’s Rose, then, a few minutes later sent me a note offering me a review copy, and I swear, I had already purchased my own in the time between her notes! That said, I honestly, honestly will miss this series!
Publication Date: June 9, 2013 Publisher: CreateSpace Series: Charity Series ISBN: 1484970845 Number of Pages: 218 Genre: Paranormal Romance Available at: Amazon
(Warning: This has spoilers for Charity Moon and Charity Rising. I try to hide them, but there are still some that are too hard not to include.)
I LOVED these stories! They are perfect companions to the first two books of the Charity Series.
First is Raven's Rose, which is my favorite of the three stories. It follows Raven and tells what happens after the end of Charity Rising. Without giving too much away, Raven's Rose is a story suspenseful of love overcoming obstacles.
Next is Eli's Destiny. I really loved the beginning of this book. In this story, you really get to know Eli. The ending is extremely unexpected so anyone who likes plot twists should look out.
Finally is Wesley's Hope. This one is awesome because Wesley finally meets his match. Wesley has to watch over a girl from the pack in Alaska and she is basically just as insane interesting as he is. Wesley's Hope is the extremely well written story of what happens when bad boy meets bad girl :)
Raven's Rose was just as amazing as the rest of the series and (as mentioned in one of the author's notes) I would love to read a story about the triplets!
Okay, so I thought this was gonna be the last Charity book. I even said so, but so many of you complained that it was over that I decided to write a fourth book. This is the third installment of the Charity Series and is a compilation of 3 amazing novellas, telling the stories of our beloved Raven, Eli, and even Wesley. I hope you love it!!!
ARC This book is the last in the Charity Series, and has Raven, Eli, and Wesley's stories in it. So since the book basically had three parts to it, I'm going to do my review for each part as well.
Raven's Story: This part kicks off just after the second book in the series. Raven meets "Rose" who is a great great great grandchild to the first women Raven has ever loved, who was also named "Rose." When these two meet there is an instant connection. But both of them have to figure out who it's going to work with their differences, and the people who could harm them.
I really enjoyed this one. I loved Rose. I loved how on the first date she was straight with Raven about her being different from the other Rose. Because I was thinking in my head, "hold the phone" (as Charity likes to say) he can't be with just because of who she reminds him of. But it wasn't like that at all. He was totally falling just for her, and she for him. And they each had to face some trials before they where able to be happy, but I was so happy for Raven. I really believed he deserved to be happy!
Eli's Story: This one starts out with a girl who has very unique eyes. We get to see mainly her point of view through this part of it. I didn't really like her at first, but then she grew on me. That was why I was so sad when everything happened. I'm not sure how I feel about how Eli got his happy ending, but I'm glad he did. I don't really have a lot to say about this one, other than it was very sad.
Wesley's Story: This is probably my favorite one out of this whole book. I loved Hope. She wasn't afraid to stand up to Wesley, and she also wasn't afraid to let him know how she felt about him either. It was like they majorly irritated each other, but then they each found something in the other that they knew they couldn't live without. I really loved that.
This one really starts out when Hope comes to stay with Wesley's pack because her father thinks she's hanging out with a "troubled" crowd. So Hope doesn't want to be anywhere with Wesley or his pack. But things kind of change when she actually finds people she connects with, and when she has feelings for Wesley. I loved the ending. And now I'm sort of sad that I won't see anymore of them.
So that concludes this review, and I have to say I really recommend this series. It was very good!
First, I want to thank DeAnna for giving me this book in exchange for an honest review.
I love HEA’s and this provided just that, this book contains three different stories one of Raven, Eli and Wesley.
Raven’s Rose is the first one obviously , this book is told in third persons POV. As we remember Raven joins Levi’s pack after siding with the werewolves in a battle, and betraying his own people… here starts our story… The story was good and I enjoyed it a lot, but it could’ve been a lot better if it was not rushed, Raven is not the same bad boy we have seen earlier, he is really sweet and cares a lot about Sophia, there was a lot of chemistry between the two, Charity was there bringing smiles and joy. The end was thrilling and mesmerizing…Loved this story!!.
The next story is Eli’s and is named Eli’s Destiny, I liked it more than Ravens Rose may be because of the POV, I liked Shae and Eli’s banter and their love for each other was not instant but there were sparks, which I liked about this book, just when I thought they will get their HEA without any hurdles, tragedy struck and I was shocked because of the sudden turn it brought to the story…Very good book DeAnna!!
DeAnna stored the best for the last and this one is my favorite of the three: Wesley’s Hope, Wesley as we knew is not cold and evil as he appears to be but a caring person, but there is no change in his temper, which instantly rises when Sergeant Mason’s daughter Hope Mason irritates the hell out of him, Wesley finds his match in this fiery red head… Wonderful story DeAnna!!
I feel sad saying goodbye to this series, It is was amazing reading this book!, and it is a must read, Go grab your own copy!! Looking forward to all the books by DeAnna Kinney… My rating: 4.5 stars.
First I would like to thank DeAnna Kinney for sending me this book. I loved all three stories that this book encompassed.
Raven's Rose was adorable and heart wrenching. However different, I found myself loving the third person point of view for this story even though I prefer first person.
Eli's Destiny was different from what I expected.
I laughed throughout Wesley's Hope, in a good way. The way that Hope and Wesley acted upon meeting each other reminded me so much of Charity and Levi when they first met. I knew they both felt a strong connection with each other but were trying so hard to deny it. Oh yes I am loving the weird names for the grandmothers in this series, Grandmammy Goodfeeling and Nana Butterfly have to be two of the most amazing characters ever.
I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. LOVED IT!! But I am also super sad for this series to end. This was a different book then the first two because it was compiled of three short stories combining the lives of various characters who made appearances in the other books. It talked about their "Happily ever Afters". I loved Raven's Rose, Eli's Destiny had me almost in tears, but I enjoyed Wesley's Hope the best. All three of the stories demonstrated that anyone; even if they think themselves as undesirables, deserves to find love and that their soulmate is out there waiting. They are all just too cute and sweet, I just want to hug someone rig now! This book made me all warm and fuzzy. I also enjoyed how Levi and Charity become secondary characters but still play a huge role in the stories. This was a great ending to an amazing trilogy. All of the bases were covered and no questions were left unanswered. Everything worked out in the end, which I am thankful for. I would recommend this novel to paranormal lovers and definitely to those who loved the series so far. A job well done DeAnna Kinney, I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve next.
Wow what an amazing book. The Author did such a great job drawing me into each and every character. The first part is about Raven and Rose and there love story which was sweet and romantic. I loved that Raven was able to separate Old Rose and New Rose. Part two was Eli's Destiny which was just as great. If not better. I found this is one of my favorites. I was laughing out loud and i found myself attached to Shae. I found my self heartbroken for Eli and then i was happy in the end that Eli found his Destiny. Wesley's story was part 3 and i loved Hope. I found her relate able with her fire red hair and a temper to match. I also was happy that the author brought back all the characters you have grown to love through the whole series. I don't wanna give to much away. Because i want you to read it your self. Because believe me i could go on and on about this book and series. Also loved that Kitty and Reed (Exposing Kitty Langley) showed up in this even thought its not part of the Charity series.
I will definitively recommend this book to anyone who loves werewolves and love stories.
Kinney did a fantastic job wrapping up the Charity series. Instead of carrying on with only Charity and Levi’s story, she gave her readers three great short stories on some of the secondary characters, weaving Charity and Levi throughout them. It was great to see these characters grow and find their HEAs.
This collection of short stories was wonderful. These fun tales flowed smoothly, and had me emerged from the first page, while adding some great insight to characters that I wanted to know more about.
My favorite of the three stories was definitely Wesley’s tale. I loved him in the first book and was thrilled to see more of him. I absolutely loved it!
If you haven’t read the Charity series yet, then give it a try. The books were fun and entertaining reads, and I thoroughly enjoyed them.
I love when Authors take the time to write about Secondary characters and give them Happy Endings!DeAnna Kinney did just that. She took characters we love and instead of being main characters made them the secondary characters and made the secondary characters Main characters.Does that makes sense?I loved reading about Charity and her babies,Levi,Eli,Wesley and of Course Raven..lets not forget Raven. The whole gang was back.It was like coming back to family.DeAnna weaves such a great story that you are transported right back into the Charity series.Saying goodbye to a beloved series is NEVER easy but DeAnna tying up lose ends and indeed giving us that Happy Ending we all know and love.I as always look forward to what DeAnna has coming next!Give this a read AFTER you have read Charity Moon and Charity Rising.
First of all I would like to thank DeAnna for giving me a copy of Raven's Rose in exchange for an honest review. I'm sad to see this series come to a end but it was finished perfectly. This book was compiled into three short stories. It was great to see all the characters get their happy ending and you just don't want it to finish. The different stories and perspectives was great and it gave us readers a chance to get to know each and everyone of the characters better and understand their own story better. Great work DeAnna, I can't wait for more of your stories!
This book is made up of three short stories ~ Raven's Rose, Eli's Destiny and Wesley's Hope. Truth be told, I had a hard time getting into Raven's Rose. Don't know why, I just couldn't get into it until closer to the end but the other to I enjoyed a great deal. I was wishing for more, especially from Wesley's Hope. There's even a character with my last name as their first, I thought that was pretty neat.
This book was wonderful! In this book its the final one of the Charity series and closes up all loose ends with the characters. You read Ravens story, you read Levis brothers story, and Wesley's story. It was great! Must read. Cant wait for the next book!!
A sweet paranormal? I wouldn't have thought it possible before discovering DeAnna Kinney's Charity series. Kinney has a knack for blending genres, infusing YA paranormals with Christian elements and sweet romance. If you loved the first two books in this series you are sure to love Raven's Rose.
Raven's Rose what can I say other then READ THE BOOK... oh I probably shouldn't have screamed that at you.... READ THE BOOK. It isn't just one story though like you may think, no it is more then that.... READ THE BOOK. I fell in love with all the characters all over again.
This series gets better and better! I loved ravens book and was so happy that he found happiness although I loved the wee twist in it. Eli's book was a rushed I felt, I know they're novellas but still I don't think he got justice like the rest of the characters I'm happy for Wesley but again I think the only one who got the decent story out of this book was raven it wasn't as rushed as I think the others are
I enjoyed reading this book very much. This is a story I am recommending to my friends. I was so entertained and thrilled while reading this story. I truly loved the twist and turns, ups and downs, and I also enjoyed all the characters.
I will give 2stars to Raven's and Rose story . I could only finish that one. it was okay okay. I know I rated it high earlier but that was only for the first novella! the other two didn't interest me.
I would love is what this hole series is about love for the plp in ur life love for God this book is so good I am so happy I read this series it have lifted my spirits so much in a time I need i needed it the most
Wow I am so happy for Raven and rose, a bit sad at what happen to the girl killed in the car crash! Real sad but happy he found his true mate! All wonderful stories about the rest of the guys and Wesley of course lol
