Where to start? This is a book that defies a simple description that manages to convey it all in a single word or three. It is erotica, but far more than that as it covers nearly every permutation of the sub-genres but paranormal. There is LBGT sex, BDSM, multiple partners, fetishism it’s all here. Surrounding a bit of a ‘dubious consent’ start as Andrea is essentially kidnapped and deposited at the Center without really accepting or agreeing to it. So, there are moments of her acting out on her anger, and the usual fear and frustration that would accompany that situation.
From the first to the last, every scenario causes Andrea to question her own sexuality and the first reaction that everyone has to something that is far from their “normal” expectations. Each scene is written to both explore the new experience and provide us with a clear sense of the intrigue, emotions and even reactions to the activity and in a clever twist, the author has made efforts to enlighten Andrea (and readers by extension) as to the development of the fetishes, providing a sense of ‘understanding’ the why, if not being intrigued by the actual act.

Wow one very hot erotic book. Andrea is kidnapped and taken to the center where she is befriended by Emmy. Andrea lives out her fantasies and has every type of sex thats going lesbian, slave, electrical stimulation, prostitution, hypnotherapy, threesomes, sevens, toys, dolls the list goes on and on, definately something for everyones taste. Just a couple of things not for me (wee and period) yuk! Each to there own I suppose.
Was this all a dream or did Andrea really go to the center? Read and find out.
This book was well written and the author has an amazing imagination. An enjoyable read full on erotic sex throughout.

As everyone knows, I read a lot of erotica. A LOT of erotica. The one thing that I really loved about this book is it literally has something for everyone. Whether you're into GLBT sex, straight sex, threesomes and what have you, it has it all. I highly recommend this for new readers that aren't sure what they're into yet or seasoned readers that want just about everything!

Which Twilight Zone episode was this one? Whichever one it was, I want in on it. This is definitely a hawt abduction sex slave training. Andrea is in a park when two men ask for some directions. Before she knows it, her mouth is covered with chloroform and she blacks out. When she wakes up, she's not in Kansas anymore.
This "Center" is a special training place where Andrea takes an amazing sexual journey. Many different fetishes are showcased in extremely an arousing manner. Author J.P. Kansas does a marvelous job in bringing sexual fantasies to life. The start is nice and easy with a "big sister" enticing Andrea into f/f delights. Emma convinces Andrea to lick pussy and enjoy Sapphic sensations. Even the photography scene is mild if exciting. Who wouldn't want a session with a photographer taking explicitly sexually themed pictures? Sign me up!
From there, the reader is treated to depraved debauchery. Oh it is so good - spankings, sexually slavery, watersport, ageplay, prostitution and more! The detailed graphic descriptions enhance the story and pulls the reader in. It is a voyeur's dream story. Author J.P. Kansas cranks up the heat from spark to blazing bonfire. The humiliation Andrea suffers through her punishment is wickedly gratifying. Even the warped wedding ceremony Andrea experiences is smoking hawt.
J.P. Kansas does a fabulous job in describing each location and showing each sex act. The characters are a bit weak in development, but it's fine for me since the focus is on Andrea's erotic journey. She moves from timid to comfortable in her skin. I couldn't guess what would happen next to her. I love when I'm surprised and my arousal is kept at a high. This story definitely encourages a little "me" time. Where is this "barber" shop and where can I set up an appointment?
This Center is a place I would love to visit as a volunteer. Although, truth be told, if I was involuntarily forced for a stay, it would be fine by me too. The ending is a bit odd and leaves me with some questions and a hope for a sequel. This titillating tale is highly recommended for kinky readers who want their fantasies played out.

This is another reason why I love being a blogger. I am provided with the opportunity of discovering authors and stories that I would have never found on my own. Erotica is normally not my cup of tea but I was approached by the author to give an honest review. So I decided to try something different and give this one a go.
The scenes were pretty detailed, graphic and explicit. I kept asking myself how in the world did the author come up with this and how was he/she even able to put all that into writing? It really could not get any better than this, can it? I mean wow....just wow.
Behind all that erotica I found a story about a young woman and how her experience opens her eyes to new things and how she discovers herself. The question is how will all this affect her future.

Why does The Center do this? What does The Center teach Andrea? Your answers await you in Andrea at the Center.
Warning this book is not your typical erotica. Andrea at the Center challenges many taboo beliefs in society. I wasn't sure what I expected when I started reading this book. I thought to myself it's an easy read no sweat right? Wrong, so very wrong! Andrea at the Center is a well written erotica that clearly shows what someone will go thru to better understand themselves. I found that this book shined thru incredibly high odds to present material in a tasteful manner. Watching Andrea's character grow from the beginning to the end of the book was amazing to witness. I definitely will continue to read this author's work.

It's crazy to think that a place like this could really exist. This is an erotic novel- be warned if you're thinking you might escape the world of sex, oh heck no. If you think that, then you probably didn't read the blurb anyways.
It also has elements from all the sexy books out there. If you like GBLT books, or multi-partner, or hetero, it has something for everyone.
But let's not just think about this book as an erotic novel because it isn't just that. Andrea is also on a journey of self-discovery, and like many books out there, she seems to blossom under the concept of sexuality as a window into her own self. This was done in some classics like The Awakening by Kate Chopin, so don't just dismiss it because it has a lot of sex in it.
It's insane to think that someone could be kidnapped and just thrown into this kind of environment. It is the kind of book that wants you to open your world up, not just stick your head in the sand and ignore what is around you.

Andrea at the Center is an intense and extremely erotic story. This has everything in it including many socially taboo acts and situations. It is very well written and within minutes of starting it, you are Andrea. You feel what she does and both emotionally and physically. I tend to read most on the bus on my way to and from work and found myself missing my stop on purpose just so I could keep reading. Definitely worth a read and I hope J.P. Kansas comes out with another book soon and maybe even a series.

Andrea at the Center is a great erotic journey of one woman who is kidnapped from her everyday life, to a place where she learns about every way for people to enjoy their sexuality. There are plenty of up and downs for her as she goes through this, when she finally gets to go home she has a new look on life.
I would like to thank J.P Kansas for giving me this free read, I enjoyed reading this book and do recommend this to others.

This book was amazing, There is something for everyone. If You like erotic fiction, it is a must read. No matter what type of erotica You are into reading, it is in this book. Andrea is a beautiful young woman whose life is changed at the center....This book is so HOT!!! I don't know if there will be more, but i would love to know what happens after...

~(little devil): The author takes the reader on such a wild ride of so many sexual encounters that at times it's hard to follow or understand why one minute the heroine is upset and talking of breaking out of The Center, and the next is writhing in ecstasy. Some of the scenes shocked me--that's saying something!
~(champagne glass): Andrea does allow herself to explore some of her deepest fantasies in order to become who she's meant to be sexually. As with all true erotica, it's about the sexual journey of the main character. J.P. Kansas takes us on one hell of a journey with Andrea.
Now after reading that blurb, I immediately thought of another series of books dealing with the same premise: heroine is taken against her will and "forced" to participate in some of the most outrageous and titillating sexual encounters in order to become a better person. Ann Rice's Sleeping Beauty trilogy is what came to mind, but this is nowhere near that caliber. Where Rice gives us mind-blowing sex, BDSM, and appealing characters you root for throughout the books, Kansas gives us only raw, unadulterated sex--almost too much of it.
Yes, I know you'd never thought you'd here that from The Vixen, but even I have my limits as does the human body. There's a point your body just simply cannot have another orgasm and needs to rest, regroup and recharge the sexual engines. Same goes for readers of erotica.
Your eyes can only take just so much before it all starts to look the same. Before you now it, you end up skimming through to the next scene to see if there's anything new. I didn't want to skim any of it. In order to give a full and honest review, I had to put it aside in order to let my eyes and mind rest a bit. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but it's something the reader should be aware of when they delve into this one.
"Andrea at the Center" details the experiences of one abducted woman as she has sex with just about anyone she comes in contact with. You have a fetish or curious about one? It's in there. Wonder what it would be like to be a collared slave to a bunch of women? It's in there. Same sex, multiple partners, urine play, food play, voyeurism, prostitution...the list goes on and on. This is definitely not a book for those faint of heart or who get offended by any sort of detailed sex scenes. While I prefer a bit more raw language in the erotica I read for pleasure, the author did a fantastic job detailing every encounter. There was no question at all what was going on! LOL!
My only real criticism is that the author didn't expand upon the characters fully. I wasn't drawn in enough by the heroine, Andrea to care whether or not she ever left The Center. The whole idea of why The Center existed isn't explored and we never get to find out why some are there voluntarily while others, like Andrea are there involuntarily. If there was more to the story to chop up the endless sex scenes, I'd give the book five hearts right off the bat.
Maybe we can convince the author to write a sequel to Andrea's story and give us the details we'd all crave. To me, having a well written STORY with characters we can connect to--along with the mind-blowing sex is what erotica is all about. While entertaining, "Andrea at the Center" left me a tiny bit unfulfilled.

J.P. Kansas' novel, Andrea at the Center, is definitely not for the faint of heart as it is classified in the erotica genre. In the novel Andrea is kidnapped while jogging. When she awakes she finds herself in a castle like place with many other people, both male and female. She soon learns that some of the people are there voluntarily while others were taken like herself. Confused and scared, Andrea is told that she will not be harmed and will be returned to her normal life once she lets herself 'become what you are.'
The Center is a place for various types of sexual exploration. The people there are given jobs where they earn money and then can purchase commodities while on their sexual journey. Deciding that she will go along with everything until she can escape or is allowed to go back home, Andrea starts to open herself up to the teachings of the Center. Here she meets all kinds of people, both that she likes and is fearful of.
Kansas quickly delves into the world of erotica. Kansas has included in her novel pretty much every type of eroticism there is. Fetishism, multiple partners, BDSM, LBGT and much more. The novel was very eye-opening for me and I was 'squinting' at many scenes. Please be aware that Andrea at the Center is not an erotic romance novel, so if you are looking for a lovey-dovey romance this is definitely not for you. I was lucky enough to receive this absolutely fabulous book called Andrea at the centre. This is based around a girl who is engaged to a guy called Michael and kidnapped off to this centre. This centre is a centre for different levels and activities of a sexual nature, which end up with an amazing twist to the whole thing and the story has a cult kind of feel to it, meaning there are a lot of different great characters to meet!
I thoroughly enjoyed this story particularly as it had such a variety of activities in it to cover any one fetish for example bondage, lesbian etc. This made it a very open book to me which could make it appealing to anyone as it makes it a very open book all around. Another point I liked about this book was I found with each chapter I could finish one and pick it up again at a later date, it made it easy to come and go. This came in handy as a parent and trying to fit in something a bit sexier for me to use in my own time, it meant I knew where I was. Each chapter tends to consist of different activities, its always introducing something new. So rather than chapter upon chapter of the same activity it tends to change quite a lot, meaning it felt like a whole new part of the story without missing any crucial bits linked to the previous chapter.
Overall I would definitely recommend this book to anyone, as it’s a very open minded book. It doesn’t leave out a lot of fetishes and shows in the story how a person can become open to trying something if they step out of the comfort zone. It’s great for a person to enjoy some alone time and also if you want to read it out in a session with your partner this can make it more exciting.

Another point I liked about this book was I found with each chapter I could finish one and pick it up again at a later date, it made it easy to come and go. This came in handy as a parent and trying to fit in something a bit sexier for me to use in my own time, it meant I knew where I was. Each chapter tends to consist of different activities, its always introducing something new. So rather than chapter upon chapter of the same activity it tends to change quite a lot, meaning it felt like a whole new part of the story without missing any crucial bits linked to the previous chapter.
Overall I would definitely recommend this book to anyone, as it’s a very open minded book. It doesn’t leave out a lot of fetishes and shows in the story how a person can become open to trying something if they step out of the comfort zone. It’s great for a person to enjoy some alone time and also if you want to read it out in a session with your partner this can make it more exciting.

This story definitely has a WTF factor, but OMG is the writing ever vivid (and it’s causing me to write in IM). There are certain scenes that definitely draw you in, but the story becomes a bit repetitive. It’s one of those stories that you can pick up at any point and read from there without having missed much of anything. It’s a brilliant read if you are looking for n erotic story that you can breeze through without having to think.
The very minimal character development in this novel makes it really hard to get into the story. There’s no history or personalities to work with. I know character development in erotica stories isn’t paramount, but as a reader I need something. Also, at times the author begins to give personal details about a character or to develop them, only to stop part way through. The author also seemed to do the same thing with the story line itself. At times she would flip away from the erotic portions to begin telling the storyline that wound throughout, only to stop part way through. I think I spent more time trying to figure out what was going on than enjoying the story. By the end I still didn’t really understand the overall picture.
I will say this. The story was well written and edited. The author’s tone and writing style draws you in and she’s not afraid to tackle the unapproachable or taboo subjects. A final note on this story, although it is almost strictly erotica, there is an overwhelming sense of acceptance throughout. Nothing and no one is ostracized for their preferences. Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) is accepted and even encouraged.

Where to start...?.......Hmm.....Okay, first of all, I´d like to say that I received a copy of JP Kansas´s * Andrea At The Center* in exchange for an honest review.
Andrea At The Center by JP Kansas was a tough read. And to be honest, I struggled through the complete book. And if I should discribe this book with a few words...I´d say: " WAY TO MUCH SEX". Of course, I love to read about sex ( I wouldn´t be normal if that weren´t the case). But I also love to read about a character, and to know about his or her thoughts in equal proportions.
This story had so much kinky fuckery to offer that I felt a bit overwhelmed and was not in the mood to read about sex ANYMORE after I finished this never-ending story. I tried really hard to find a story OR a meaning in this book ( really.....I did my best!!) but all the sex didn´t allow me to see anything.
If you are into the kinky scene, you´ll probably have a blast with this book. Or maybe not ( due to the confusing writing style). But I can say what I got out of it all. Most books have a theme, or a specific subject and that sticks ´til the bitter end.
For example:
50 Shades: it had a story, kinky fuckery, and romance = a good story
Captive In The Dark : it had an awesome story, double hard kinky fuckery, and some actual romance = a hell of a good book
( the list could go on and on....but you see my point, right?)
THIS BOOK had a shit load of sex, and so much more! sex! I am not kidding. Andrea In The Center has:

Let´s not forget to mention almost every character masterbated in almost every scene! And women on their periods....hmm....NO PROLEMO! Just ditch the cotton plug and start moaning! I was surprised they didn´t hang the used tampons on their ears and found that worth masterbating!! I was reading a porn! Now, don´t any of you start telling me " Oh, all women read porn!".....yes, I know that myself...no need to remind me. I also enjoy every second reading about hot, steaming, mind blowing sex, but when I was reading this book.....I felt utterly exhausted after the 5th sex scene! She is free to leave once she finds her true self ( * stomping foot * I AM STILL WONDERING WHO THE HELL ANDREA REALLY IS!!!!! Damn it! ). Anyways....once Andrea is left by herself, the first thing she decides to do after being kidnapped is take a shower!!! No one in their right mind takes a fucking shower after an attack!!!!! Once Andrea gets out and enters her new room, she see´s Emmy, her new big sister ( God, PLEASE!!! ) and both exchange a few words and begin to lick each other. Once that was done, Andrea is brought to the next room where she gets pictures taken from her BEAUTIFUL body ( and starts to orgasm!!!!!!!!!!!)...then she goes to the next room, then the next, and then the other room...etc. Each and every room has something special tucked inside where Andrea can shamelessly orgasm her soul away! There was never a chance for Andrea to explore the Center without having a Hiroshima orgasm!

First: NO ONE SHUSHES during sex! Must be that bad when someone has to repeat that during the whole act even though it´s supposed to be THE U.L.T.I.M.A.T.E sexperience!!! TOTAL turn-off.
So, let´s do a small recap on the story.

Usually, a story has a meaning. Or a message for readers. Or a story could be plainly entertaining. It was far from entertaining. There was no meaning. But I think the message was:
"If you haven´t found your place in life yet, or even if you still don´t have a God forsaken clue as to who you really are.....then go to a swinger club for a solid month and THEN you will have your answer!"
All of this screamed to go out and fuck around....or masterbate at least 30 times a day even if you don´t feel like it.
I am exhausted.

I love erotica. The filthier the better. I don’t like ‘sexy’, watered down R-rated sex scenes. I want them XXX. This book had that but that’s all it had. I love erotic storylines where the woman is taken, willingly or not, to, and becomes part of, a secret underground sexual society. The goings-on here were a mess and unbelievable. It was just a bunch of sometimes crazy sex scenes put together just to see how many could fit into the book.
Though this book ran the gamut as far as sexual escapades go some were just too strange and were a turn-off. Examples: giving oral sex to someone who’s on her period and you receiving it while on it, urinating in someone’s mouth and they into yours, oral sex with a life-like bendable mannequin of yourself, ect. The most absurd scene was Andrea’s anal penetration with a bar of soap. WTF? That entire bar would have shot right into her rectum and she’d have been at the emergency room. The worst part of all is that the overwhelming majority of sex in this book is lesbian, which bores me to death, and it’s so repetitive, as were her countless orgasms, I couldn’t wait for the story to end. I love penis and there wasn’t nearly enough of ‘em in this book which is a real disappointment. This is the kind of story/subject matter that I can read quickly because I’m really interested in it but because of the repetitiveness it felt like I’d been reading it for two weeks with no end in sight. When I was less than halfway though the book I realized that the rest of the book was just going to be more of the exact same things I’d already read about.
This was first published in 1994 but some of the terminology made it seem like it was written twenty years earlier, with the constant use of the word ‘terrific’ and phrase ‘make love’. It isn’t ‘making love’ when you aren’t in love with them and especially when the sex is with someone you’ve just met. No one says that anymore.
With books of all genres you need some background information on main characters. We didn’t get any with Andrea. We know nothing about her background except she’s engaged to Michael. How she ended up at the Center is not believable and how she returned home isn’t either. We were left to decide for ourselves if her three months or so at the Center was all a dream.

In Andrea at the Center we begin the book by Andrea being kidnapped. She is taken away a place that she knows not where she is or how long she will be held captive. She is soon informed that she will be there until she becomes who she is. This all really puzzles Andrea until she meets her big sister. She soon introduces her to many new experiences from lesbian sex to a male strip club to being video taped and watching herself. After she is forced to leave Emmy she soon becomes a slave in a women’s dormitory. She learns humiliation and sex can at times go hand in hand. After surviving the slave duration she becomes a mistress. It is her time during the mistress that she is introduced to many other things such as male prostitutes, artificial stimulation and much, much more. It’s not long into this part of her story that she finds herself wanting to escape and run away. She is found a punished. Her punishment is that of becoming a stripper and a hooker. She is brought to a whole new low. In the end Andrea’s erotic journey does end happily we assume. We are left in the end at the same place it began.
Overall, this was a very intriguing erotic novel. There is a lot of sex. Some sex I’ve never actually read about before. This story will get you all hot and bothered. I have to say the sex was probably the best part of the story. I did have trouble at times keeping up with the subordinate characters and the story sometimes wasn’t as coherent as I would prefer. I don’t often read erotic novels that don’t have some romance. This book focuses mostly on the sex and it is phenomenal sex that is bound to give the reader ideas. But, if you’re looking for a really great story it is lacking in that department. After reading this I kinda felt like it had all been a dream and wasn’t sure what the ending really meant. We are left just as confused as Andrea. As erotica goes, the ‘plot’ of this book is about as believable and well thought-out as a porn film. Our protagonist, Andrea, is snatched off the streets by a couple of random men, drugged and taken to the Center, which is some sort of all-encompassing sex commune. Once there she is told that she has been taken in order to ‘become what you are’, or something like that. Her family and fiancé have all received a notice from her that she was overcome by a sudden desire to spend a few months in Tibet, and that’s it.
Cue endless ventures into all kinds of erotic pastimes, some more believable than others, and some more agreeable than others. The book’s biggest strength is that pretty much anything you can think of is represented, short of bestiality. Unfortunately I’d say that is also its biggest weakness, because there are certain avenues in sex which I personally do not want to contemplate, never mind read about, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. There's also a bit too much F/F for my taste, but again that's personal.
Apart from that the very fact that Andrea has been kidnapped and is given little to no choice about participating in all this stuff makes me feel just a tad uncomfortable. There is some attempt to lessen the impact of it by making her enjoy most of what she’s doing, but still.

This book is extremely explicit so if you cannot handle that do not read it. But if you want to blow your mind by erotic kink then this book is for you.
So yes lots of sex and kink, but J.P. Kansas has taken the opportunity with this book to push every known sexual boundary through this story.
I will be honest I spent 85% of the book thinking that this book is ultimate porn in a literary format. I wasn't sure what the story was meant to be...what was the plot? However the more I read the more I started to question what J.P.'s aim was, what were they trying to convey.
Andrea appears to be an average young woman, living a regular life with a fiance and a future...and then she is abducted and the sexual exploration begins.
Now a lot of events that take place are at times offensive and I really felt for Andrea. But the more I opened my mind that this is "Fictional", a creative(explicit) piece of writing, the easier it became to keep reading. The story is often enigmatic...but there is a purpose in J.P.'s writing for this...and it is not till the end that you are sucker punched with what this was all about. By the time I was halfway through I had an inkling of what J.P. could have in mind!
But if you cannot grasp and/or accept the story line, then this book is the perfect foreplay tool for yourself and/or with a partner...Yes the writing is so descriptive - I recommend not reading it during your lunch break at work!
If you decide to read this book, then be open minded, try not to judge straight away...keep reading, pursue the story to the very end...and remember this is a work of fiction...and should be read as such!

This book is a sexual smorgasbord. There is just about every kind of kink and fetish to explore and Andrea does them all. I lost track of the number of sexual situations she found herself in because while it was interesting seeing her explore and grow I started to become desensitized to all of the sex towards the middle of the book. However, it picked back up and didn’t detract overly much from the whole theme. Though I must say I was disappointed in the ambiguous ending. It seemed like a cop out and I would have liked something a little more concrete.
I would love to go to Center like this one as a voluntary subject over an involuntary one. Someone should build one on some tropical island. They could make a killing! Just FYI, I’ll be all over that idea if I win the lottery. *winks*
Just a warning ~ there are things in here that will not appeal to everyone. Golden showers and red wings were the two that personally grossed me out. And the part where Andrea has to be a slave would never work for me. I’m a Dominant, not a submissive in any way, shape or form.
All-in-all an intriguing book that managed to fit just about every kind of sexual fantasy into it without the story becoming clumsy from the weight of them.

I was given a free e-copy of this book by the author in exchange for a unbiased review.
I am very undecided on this book. The sex was great, don't get me wrong and there was plenty of it. On the other hand there was something about the storytelling and character development in this book that was just a little bit off. I didn't like Andrea. I mean I really, really did not like her at all. This is due simply to the fact that she is merely a blank slate with large breasts. That is all I can tell you about her. I can't tell you what she wants to do with her life, why she was with her fiance, what her personal history is, anything. I know that in erotica character development isn't the most important thing in the world but I have to have something. There was no investment. We never find out what the center is. We never find out why she was taken. There are references to events that were never mentioned before but they way they are brought up makes it seem like they are important to the plot. I just felt frustrated with the entire plot and all the characters. I just wanted to know why things were happening.
As I said previously the sex was well written. There was plenty of variety in that department as well. I just wish that the plot had as much detail as the descriptions of bedroom activities.

J.P. Kansas pens "Andrea at the Center" in a sizzling plot filled with sexual fantasy. This book is actually more than just an erotic novel, it is also about Andrea's self discovery journey. Between the author's incredible characters with some great sexual chemistry between them, Andrea's journey and the descriptive scenes, I had a really hard time putting the book down. Be prepared to stay up all night with this book! Highly recommended for all erotica lovers.

I really wanted to enjoy this book, I want to enjoy all the books I read, but I sadly could not get into it.
It was my first real erotica book, so I really didn't know if I would like it or not, but I guess I don't like erotica very much.
I will say this: if you like erotica, then this pretty much has it all. It is a great book for those who like these sorts of books but unfortunately I couldn't get into it.

Wow, just Wow. I found bits and pices of this book a little lot for me. But then there where others that were just wow. This is not like anything I have every read before. I am glad I got the chance to read it. This book will just wow you, im sure.
