Without Reason

Rate this book
He killed the Pattersons and the family next door, and watched a woman with boredom as she died on a gravel road of a mountain pass. On the stretching plains of Montana, and hugged in by the blue peaks, the man kills for no reason. Ruth has reasons for her actions, but they leave her feeling empty and cold like the corpses she had sworn to protect. Her pistol and badge become nothing more than a pistol and a badge. No one has seen such savagery that the man leaves in his wake, and without reason, no one can escape it.

Waited a long time for him to finally release the full version! Before this he only released a few chapters. Totally worth the wait though. Loved the ending. One of those books that I keep thinking about randomly throughout the day haha definitely recommended!

A serial killer on the loose. A female cop struggling to earn respect in rural Wyoming. In the cat and mouse game, only she can take him down.

The setup is promising and the first chapter is fantastic. Unfortunately, the novel backslides from there. The characters feel like shadows of themselves. Dibb clearly had a plan but struggled with the execution. Plot points were confusing or implausible. At times it felt as though even the author was disconnected from their story. It feels like the author was in a bet to see how much gratuitous violence they could include before they reached their writing goal.

I'd stay clear of this and save your money. Speaking of which....Amazon, can I get a refund?
