Eden dreamed. She dreamed of a man, one with liquid gold eyes. But when she meets Sahariel for the first time she can't help but wonder if she's going crazy. People can see him, but she can't see any colors swirl around him, not like they do with other people. Feeling irrevocably tied to him, she can't figure him out. Even with her own eccentricities, Eden thought she had finally become somewhat normal, but once he stepped into her life, everything was changed.
I got this book very randomly and i sure liked it.Anyone who like Fantasy should sure try it and i would recommend it to them..i was sad to see there are very less review to it.
It has Elves and Magic...so sure the fantasy has riled me up..though a little bit predictable i really enjoyed the story more than i actually thought.
Eden has been strange for all her life..her mother has been dead when she was weeks old and her father is only one who is there for her. But whats strange is..she sees weird colors(emotions)revolving around people and that makes her head ache and eyes water..but she accepted it..as she accepted that her heart is weak after it has problems when she was a infant...shes tagged as a werid and outcast and she happily accepts it with her two other friends and her art room.
But when a weird dream and a new boy - Sahariel - at school shows up her strange life just becomes more stanger and weirder.Sahariel follows her around..more like stalkerish..and eden is beyond confused cos she can't understand her attraction and connection towards this weird boy which makes her furious at the same time she wants to be close to him and comfort him.
When things go beyond weird in a fair where eden and her friends go...sahariel reveals who is he and especially who Eden is..a Elf princess and now its her duty to go back to her kindgdom with sahariel-her royal guard to protect her from dangers..as they are on brink of war.
Eden is pushed into a world, kingdom where she has to make decisions for the welfare of her people, people who wants to kill her and her attraction towards her royal guard that's not one thats supposed to happen..but how can she deny it?
Decisions, lies, secrets, betrayals, love adventure, magic and romance...finding eden has everything ..and i totally wanted a sequel but was happy for the wonderful epilogue seeing sahariel and eden happy and content.
I really disliked this book. It was so disjointed and confusing at times and the things that happened didn't really make sense. Eden was...well she just was crazy all the time, going off the handle for no reason it seems and making bad decisions constantly for...no reason that I can see. She starts hiding things from Saharied (which where they trying to make a love triangle with Marius? Even though Saharied disappeared from half the book because....well I don't know why he couldn't see her if he was not her one and only guard. She hung out with Marius and he wasn't her guard so...it didn't really make much sense). But she hides things from Saharied and I was really confused why. Does she not trust him suddenly? Then she all escapes from him to go find the 'bad guy' and it just made no sense. Like why not tell someone what is going on? Why sneak off by yourself for no reason? Why do anything that you are doing?!?! Really I didn't understand her most of the time. Like she would freak out about things for no apparent reason, but then be calm about other things that I thought she would freak out about. It was just confusing. She was incredibly stupid most of the book and it didn't feel like there were any connections between any of the characters. There was a war going on, but for the most part it didn't affect the book at all. I mean they could have left it out just as easily as had the war as you never were a part of it and she pawned off the war planning decisions to Marius so...she wasn't even really involved in it. Okay and she just finds out she is an Elf queen and she doesn't need to learn anything except the language? There are no other differences between our society and theirs that she might need to know to rule? It was just not a good book. I would not recommend it as it was very frustrating to read (plus I didn't think they would wrap everything up, so there would be another book, but they did in like 3 pages. Lame).

Okay, so the reason I didn't rate this book is because there are things I liked and things I didn't. 1) The author needs an editor immediately. 2) This book had a lot of potential but there wasn't enough action, suspense, or romance to make it a page turner. Good story line, I liked the main character (she wasn't really weak or winy), overall the book was okay and I'm sure the author will only improve from here : )
I have not given this book a five star rating due to the grammatical errors. The story is a light and fairy tale like. Don't get me wrong, there are both mystery and intrigue. This is not a book for those who enjoy dark, intense and/or complexity. This is a feel good HEA story. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
The beginning of the book was a bit boring for me but once things started progressing it got really good. My only downside is it leaves you on a cliffhanger and there’s no second book
"But I'm distracted every time Sahariel moves, as if I'm part of his ocean." (Except it said 'movies')
"I don't want to cause him pain. In fact, I want to take it away, along with everything else. I want to take away his pride, his anger, happiness, joy, love, sadness, everything. I want him empty; devoid."
Where do I start? Well, I would give this one and half stars because it did have potential.
Typo city, this book was. Incorrect word usage, and bad grammar! It is important to proof read your work--not just hit spell check. Which I am sure is what happened here, as most of the words were correctly spelled, but instead of he, it ended up as be. This was a common occurrence and became more frequent toward the end of the book. At times it almost came across as if English was the second language to this author. And perhaps that is the case, because "I seen" is not acceptable speech, ever. So perhaps, next time, give your book to someone with great representation of the English language to scour over if you want to skip out on the editing portion of publishing your book. "I try to eat my lunch, but I'm painfully aware of every move Sahariel makes from me."--See what I mean? That doesn't make sense. I understand what the idea behind this line was, but this is just awkward. Moving on...the plot, character development, and conversations between characters did not flow. There were some major gaps in the plot. It was not executed well at all. Major things were missing. Eden didn't really adhere to any personality at any given time. All I understood about her was that she was bitchy--all the time. I didn't get any real sense of who she was, what was important to her; her personality just changed to meet the needs of the story, rather than the story meeting the boundaries of her personality. She never questioned why she was able to order Sahariel around. She wasn't ever a part of the Elf world (I was surprised she was an Elf, so good job there!)and sure as hell didn't know how to rule them, but the only training she received was teaching herself how to speak their language? Uh huh... 2 months after Sahariel stops being her personal guard there has been no progress with their relationship because he was gone the whole time. The attempt at a love triangle failed a bit, mainly because there was no reason for it to happen, and no reason for Sahariel's absence. Not to mention, there was never any confirmation on anyone's part, for both sides of the triangle, of a romance building. All of the scenes felt forced in this book. Nothing ran together smoothly. It was kind of like a bumpy road. And as a result it was hard to be captivated. What Queen only has one guard? Especially during a time where her life is in danger...I was glad she got her ass kicked, but there wasn't even a reason given as to why she wouldn't tell Sahariel what was going on. Overall, this felt like a rough draft. It definitely needs some fine tuning. Would I recommend it? Not until it got a serious overhaul.
Finding Eden was a book that 1) sounded interesting and 2) was free, so I snagged it. It’s been sitting on my kindle for a while, but I finally got to it. And, I was left disappointed.
First and foremost, the plot was very convoluted. Truly, this wouldn’t have been so bad if the book had been longer, but because of the shortness, Finding Eden ended up jumping from one thing to another.
Second, the friends we were introduced to at the beginning of the story had basically no point whatsoever. They’re there for the beginning, and then Eden goes off to another world and we don’t see them again until the epilogue.
Speaking of the epilogue, it goes at the end, not the beginning. The prologue is before the real story starts, not after it ends. They were mixed up in this book, which annoyed me a lot.
Also, if Eden apparently says stupid/weird stuff, then make her say stupid/weird stuff; don’t just say she does and then let her be perfectly normal.
Obviously, Finding Eden wasn’t my favorite. So why am I giving this two stars instead of one? Well, I didn’t hate it. There were some really good ideas, they just weren’t executed very well. Eden being able to see emotions was cool, it just wasn’t the main focus of the story like it really should have been.
This book was lacking for me; maybe with some editing the story could be improved upon, but I don’t like it very much in its current state.
The characters are seriously underdeveloped and make weird decisions without explanation. None of the book made any sense or seemed logical to me. The book also needs a lot of editing.
I started reading this book because the blurb sounded interesting and the cover is beautiful. That wasn't really enough. I had picked this up as a freebie off Amazon and I'm disappointed by the lack of editing in this novel. I had to read sentences multiple times to figure out what they meant, which got old fast. I wasn't able to complete the story. I'm disappointed about that. It's very rare for me to give up partially through a book, but until this book gets edited, I just can't do it. It's understandable to have a grammatical error here and there. I see it in all books, not just indie published books. This was just excessive. I have a limit and this book surpassed it.
I'll have to watch for newer versions of the book and give it another chance if the editing is better.
With that assumption in mind, a hearty congratulations for finishing the story. There's a stark absence of world building and character development in Finding Eden. The Elf World is only described as going back in time where anything of industry comes undone and electricity doesn't work. But, somehow, beds still have mattresses and box springs. There's a war and we learned absolutely zero about the enemy. There's a queen but there's no ruling counsel. There's just "strategists" to fight the war and "committees" to plan festivals. Should the author read this review, it is not my intention to tear your work apart. Please, don't be discouraged; continue writing. Re-write the story of Eden.
On one hand, the characters were very compelling, and I felt the emotion they felt. The writing flowed, and pulled me in. On the other hand, I found the plot weak. Maybe it was because the book was too short for a more complicated plot. I would recommend making the plot more complex, adding some mystery, and ensuring that hidden clues (not obvious clues)are laid out throughout the pages for readers who wish to solve the mystery with the main character. That way, in the end, the reader can say, "I knew it!" or, "I missed that. I can't believe that was a clue!"
I recommend this for readers who don't want a heavy plot, and are looking for a light read.
Eden is a teen that has the gift of seeing aura's or colors surrounding people. She ends up meeting the new boy in school and is shoved when she can't see his colors. Everyone has colors so why doesn't he? Things between them end but she finds out he is never far from her. Then she learns his secret that changes everything she thought she knew able it herself and her life. It was fun to read and keep me turning the pages! This book may contain grammar or spelling issues but it might have been the other book, I just finished before this one. It's still worth reading and a great young adult book.
The story wasnt bad, but I felt little unease by the way, which CB led the characters. The behaviors of main couple were many time too much direct or omitted and in whole - I was not able to believe them, in opposite to imho too many background characters without any deeper sense for a story. But I think, the author have a great potential (imagination and ideas are there, no doubt about it, just work out the technique).
PS: I apologize for mishaps in my spelling (I am not native speaker - I live in Czechia).
Finding Eden, an elf story. The typical story, lovely and full of magic. I liked it, but it was too quick. The end was cut way too short, leaving a lot of things unsaid, unfinished. Eden went to school had a normal life, as normal as seeing people aura(colors) can get. But with the unexpected visit from Sahariel, the only person she can she his colors, she learns she's not only an elf, but the queen of them. She goes to this Elf world to save it from a war. There wasn't much more to it. It had the potential to be more interesting. Quick and easy read. 3 Stars
Is this author new to writing? Was there an editor involved?
Okay I'm about half way through the book and I just have to say, I can appreciate where this story is trying to go. Like... I like the idea and the actual story of it. That said, the awful grammatical errors and the way this is written.. it's so choppy... If that explains it. I'm going to finish the book just because I love stories like this and I want to see where it's going, but it's hard to read it like this. Not a fan of this author I'd have to say.
Confused did the author mean to have the epilogue and the prologue backwards? because that was writer and there were several typos. But aside from those glaring mistakes the story was good and I enjoyed the book. Not to unique of an magical elf story very typical. Kinda boring with the whole danger plot thing one guy out for revenge and talk of a war with no real mention of who the enemy was. It was a nice story.
So this book is going to be hard to write a review for. I really like this book I like the chemistry the main characters had I liked the story I really enjoyed the book ,however, there were a lot of scenes I felt needed to be longer I wish there was more to the ending. I even went to the author's page to see if this book was part of a series. Even though it had these problems for me I still really liked this book. I would give this book 3.5 stars.
I just loved this book. It's about a young girl named Eden who is not your typical girl. She dreams of a young man named Sahariel who harshest color of liquid gold. Eden finds herself drawn to him.through her journey with Sahariel she learns about her fate in life and her soul mate. I couldn't put the book down and at the end I was left hoping for more of Eden and Sahariel's story in a second or third book.
This would have been a good read if I could have gotten through the structure of the book. I mean every page, to the extent of almost every few paragraphs has typos in them. Missing words, wrong words, duplicate words. It started to become so much of a chore trying to put the thing in the right order I didn't even bother to finish.
I just finished this book and while in was reading I loved the way it was going. it is a great plot but it seems as if it was rushed out. I saw a few errors in it, though none were terrible. The ending isn't the best and was rushed out. I wish there was a second to this because it would be even greater to venture into edens new life
The book needed to be written a few more times. The idea is great, but certain areas did not make sense and I felt a lot of the writing was written very quickly without much thought. The writing style wasn't one of my favorites. I wish the writer would have describe a bit more instead of letting the reader imagine everything.
Well it was definitely a different kind of book. I'm not sure I've read a novel that strictly deals with elven creatures. I kind of expected it to be lame or bad but I seemed to enjoy it greatly. I would of been kick ass if it was made into a series.
eh. its good for a free book. the author should know epilogue is after the story and prologue is before. I did find one inconsistency in the book but over all a good read that isn't a series of fifty books.
The hoof was ok, lots of typos and mispelled words. The book was a ok read. At the end everything happened to fist, for example, getting her first kiss from this guy to being pregnant and visiting the human world. I feel like it should be more detailed and to have a sequel.

I loved the story line and the entire idea behind the book, it was a good book, the only thing I was really disappointed with was how rushed the story seemed about half way through until the end. It started to fall a little flat for me when it began rushing the story line but still a good read!
MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE!!!!! I want more. I can't wait to read the next in this series if I can get my hands on it!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!!!! Great characters, greater plot, greatest adventure!!!
Short and sweet , eden is a teen who is just trying to find herself , never thinking that she is a elf . A queen and has to return to her country to help her people.
