The Earth/Kalquor War seems far away to Sister Katherine and the nuns of the convent on Europa. That changes in an instant when an enemy spyship arrives and invades the tiny moon colony.

Katherine’s world is torn apart when she learns she is to become the mate to a clan of three fierce Kalquorian men. How can she save herself or the convent’s children from their conquerors when her body, heart, and soul cries out for the blasphemous touch of her captors? Born in a small town on the coast of North Carolina to strict parents, Tracy St. John started out as a quiet, shy child. She was typical for her small town: studying hard for good grades, fishing with her dad on Saturdays and attending church on Sundays.

When adolescence kicked in, so did full-on rebellion. School, family and church fell by the wayside as Tracy partied too hard with the wrong people. Somehow surviving her wild-child phase, she pursued several careers before finally settling on video production and writing.

A string of failed relationships prompted her to give up on love…which of course meant fate immediately tossed Mr. Right her way. After only 4 months of dating, she eloped with the love of her life. They just celebrated 14 years of wedded bliss.

Prior to penning her first erotic novel ‘Alien Embrace’, Tracy wrote commercials, television and radio promos, and training films for various government entities.

Tracy St. John now lives in coastal Georgia with her husband and son. She still enjoys fishing, and you’ll often find her haunting train museums with her locomotive-loving son. Besides writing, she also works in video production both in front of and behind the camera. She’s usually cast as the gun-toting bad gal, getting handcuffed in the end. She has no complaints.

This author writes about rape, forced seduction, and really hates religion...she has issues out the behind.... these books are not about love...but about power and helplessness... this is not BDSM... so be warned.

I can't get enough of this series. The "Clans of Kalquor" just keeps getting better and better.

Although "Sister Katherine" can be read as a stand-alone, it helps if you've already read "Alien Conquest," an earlier book in the series. The setting is the same --- and it actually begins with the same set of events. There are also some of the same characters that you meet first in "Conquest."

Sister Katherine is rescued/abducted by the Kalquorians, and is "clanned" to three Kalquorian soldiers. She is terrified since Earth propaganda shows the Kalquorians as savages. Katherine is an interesting character, and St. John uses her to ask some interesting questions about the nature of religion..so the story isn't entirely just menage gang-bangs -- although there's plenty of that as well!

If I had to quibble, maybe it's that Katherine gets over her fear and loathing of the Kalquorians pretty quickly -- but maybe I would too if they were as hot as Simdow, Miv, and Vadef!

I am a total advocate for Tracy St. John's Clans of Kalquor books and this particular story from the series was fantastic! I liked how many characters that you witnessed in proceeding books popped in and out of this one. Then on top of that I hope that some of the people who you were introduced to get their own books.

I really liked Sister Katerine's character because while she was very devout in believing in God, she was knowledgeable enough to accept that it was okay for her beliefs to not 100% line up with the crazy religious fanatic Earthers. She was just an overall well likable person. The three Kalquors, Simdow, Miv, and Vadef, were very likable as well. While they are not my favorite's of all the characters from the stories (none have been able to top Tranis, Lidon, and Degorsk!) they're personalities fit well with Katherine's as their Matara.

Now I just need the next of the Nuns of Europa to come out because I just love these books!

Another wonderful story in the Kalquor series! If you enjoyed the other books in the series, I'm certain you will like this one.

Though this one is billed as Nuns of Europa, it is really part of the Clans of Kalquor series. The format is familiar, a romance set against a drama based on an interstellar struggle between earth and Kalquor. This book takes place at the time of the final battle on Earth and the same time as Alien Conquest.

Despite the number of books in the series and related Clan Beginnings series, I haven't tired of it. Tracy St. John's Clans of Kalquor series is still going strong!

I'm not going to rate this one because I did not finish it. I bought it because I got a glimpse of Katherine in Alien Conquest (Clans of Kalquor #3) and it looked like another dub con virgin story and I expected some serious hotness. But when I started reading it, I felt like the chronology of the events were altered from how they happened in Alien Conquest. For example, Cassidy - the heroine of Alien Conquest - saw things that were supposed to happen in Sister Katherine, because they happened TO Katherine, but they didn't happen in Sister Katherine… That put me off a bit.

I have read this entire series. I like the world building. It's engaging and fascinating. Certain parts of the anatomy of the male aliens are...well a bit much. The word unnecessary leaps to mind. Still it didn't keep me from reading the entire series. I would love to see the clan beginnings book for this clan!

Tracy St. John could teach Lucas the ins and outs of HOW to write a good prequel!

Kalquor is so much deeper a world, and its characters so much richer, when the insights from this spin off series fill in the blanks.

Excellent!

These books are always a two sided thing for me. I don't like to be sexually dominated and I HATE being forced to do anything. So these books rouse two different emotions in me. Saying that, they are all well written and have a HEA that the heroine deserves. So, it's all good.

I couldn't stomach reading this. Despite the 3 alien men claiming that they don't want to force her to do anything sexual against her will, they do exactly that.

The men are aware that her religion is extremely modest, and that she came from a female only convent, which would subject her to even stricter adherence to those beliefs, yet expect her to accept their norms about nudity and clan life immediately. There is no adjustment period. While it doesn't escalate to rape, Katherine is still physically forced into situations involving nudity and touching.

The night after they kidnap her they force her to strip and sleep naked. She wakes to being touched all over. When she struggles she is held down. They claim they don't want to hurt or force her, just get her accustomed to their touch, but I don't see any evidence of this. They could have easily started by holding hands, touching her arms, or brushing her hair. Simple gestures to build trust before gradually increasing their intimacy. Instead, she is stripped and forced to endure touching that she believes is sinful. No matter how I look at this it's non-consentual and I lose interest in reading further.

Heart warming

It was enjoyable. I loved the children, especially Marci. Also great edge of seat at end, due to war. If we can of the clans, you will love this one too.

It was a good story in the Kalquorian series, but I guess I am getting really bored with so many looooong smex scenes, and they are really long ones and there are a lot of them. Also, not really into reading most bdsm anymore, so I am trying to just finish this series for the stories. I didn't rate it higher than a 3.

The underlying story is pretty darned good (since it is so familiar). There is more than usual personality-building of the various warriors outside of this small clan, which I liked. There's also a lot of religion-bashing, but if that's a big problem for anyone, they likely wouldn't be reading this series in the first place, lol! I am on to the next book in the series and hope I don't have to skip as many boring smex scenes in that one.
