It's been two weeks since the ending of The Fetish Queen Part 1 and not only is she keeping her past a secret from her new “family” but she is trying to stay away from Max. Although, not sure how safe it is, when every time they are near it’s like a bomb waiting to happen. As the on-line videos showcase her as “The Fetish Queen”, everyone isn't prepared for the following and response that comes with it.

Continuing to make her mark in Florida, she is finding herself drawn into this dysfunctional family, having no choice but to tell her secret to everyone but Max. Max can’t understand the Lass, she is crazy and wild, and he hates her for making him want her and hates himself for wanting her too much. He has become an irritable bastard to be around and it’s all thanks to the blond bombshell.

The Fetish Queen, Part Two: Infamous is about being careful of what you wish for. For me personally it started to lose its steam, now that the newness is gone, I wanted more from the Fetish Queen, more of the tension between Max and Lillie. It’s hard to read and review chapter novellas because there is only so much you can base it on. I Kinda can see where this is all heading but I’m hoping things will pick back up in the final installment.

In Part Two we continue with the story between Lille and Max. The novella continues on from Chapter 11 for some reason, making you wonder why the story didn't just continue as one full length story rather than three novella length ones.

Whilst I enjoyed this part I can't help but feel that the reader is being short changed a little as it's only around 90 pages long and doesn't really go anywhere as such for a novella, there is no start middle and end as such. It's feels a little drawn out and more lke the middle chapters of a full length novel.

If you're looking for an erotic romance with lots of action, then this isn't the story for you. Whilst what there is, is well written it's not littered with action.

My thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher for a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review. 6/10.

parts 1-3 all read together.

hot, fun read just like the original series "The Fetish Box". Lille & Max weren't together near as much as they should have been, but when the two of them did manage to get their shit together - they were HOT!

I don't think the door to The Fetish Box was completely closed at the end of this one, so maybe/hopefully we'll get more :)

Another hot little read.
Well written as always with some great characters.
Although it's too short to comment on the plot, and it makes it more difficult that it's a serial, it is a great little read.
It would be better if it was left as a full length book rather than split up, I'm not sure enough happens story wise to warrant splitting it into 3 seperate parts

Ok, so I liked part one of the Fetish Queen, was a bit descriptive and did go on to explain a lot about the characters and their backgrounds, but it didn't go into too much depth and drag on which I felt this part two did and it sort of bored me a bit except of course when it came to Max and Lillie.

And finally when it did get to those two the book ended and was to be continued.....

So I felt a bit short changed in this book, but there is part three!?

Title: The Fetish Queen Part 2: Infamous
Author: Nicole Camden
Publisher/Year: Pocket Star 4/28/14
Length: 100 Pages
Series: The Fetish Queen #2

Overview

In this scintillating second part of the Fetish Queen series, Lille and Max go wild for each other as conflicts arise and dark secrets of Lille’s past are revealed.

Lillehammer Marceau has a secret past—one that has haunted her, one that not even her best friend, Mary, knows about, one that includes a Russian gangster for a father. It’s left her with commitment issues and a fear of trusting anyone too much.

Lille has always been dominant and daring, hiding her fear behind a mask of confidence and bravado, even when the web series she creates about life in the Fetish Box becomes an Internet sensation and she gains more attention than she ever wanted. She believes she can keep her façade intact and still enjoy the pleasures of being with Max, but some men, it seems, won’t be controlled for long…

My Thoughts

Well, we're finally getting into the meat of things. The past that was teased in the snippet of book one that never quite came to fruition really begins to come out in this 2nd installment. As we begin to learn more about Lillie and see what she's doing with The Box - we see that part of it is an act - in a way at least, since she's trying to protect herself from all that she's gone through growing up.

What's really nice is that there's still the clear chemistry between her and Max and that everyone around them realizes it, and we get to reap the benefits of that as well - I couldn't be happier.

This 2nd book takes us further into the journey, where Lillie decides to place a call to that mysterious number from Vegas to see what it's about and finds out that it's someone connected to her father. She doesn't quite know the motives, but her intuition makes her weary. The other interesting bit is that there's other stuff going on that makes her nervous as well. Carl, Max's step brother ends up waking up one morning with both his phone and keys stolen....those keys being the ones that open both the store and the house that Lillie is staying in. Lillie's worried that there's a connection there and well, you know that in these types of stories there has to be one.

There's that parallel story as well as getting to know some of the supporting cast a bit more. We spend a bit of time learning about Kim - the girl who's filming the documentary, as well as about Jordan ,the boy who works in the store and has a thing for Kim. It's cute, but i don't know if it's fully necessary to the story - we don't need it really to keep things moving. I really enjoy what Carl brings though, and the grounding that Mary and John have as well.

But, to be fully honest, given that this is an ARC, there's a little flaw that i'm seeing that keeps throwing me off. There are bits and pieces that are referenced that don't follow the path of the story. Specifically being that Lillie calls the man in Vegas, yet there continue to be references of 'the call to Lillie from her father' or connected to her father. She made the move there - the man just left a card.

In any event, i think things will get more complicated now that Lillie's face is out there on the internet - the videos going viral and now there's no hiding. the question becomes will Lillie have to run again to get away from her father, will he come and wreak havoc to Hollywood FL, or is everything just being blown out of proportion.

The other bit too which i'll continue to enjoy is will the heat and passion between Max and Lillie stay pent up a while more and really keep things steamy like i want them, or will they do a little dance around each other and 'go soft' (sorry about the bad pun there). I'm going to pick up book 3 now and let you know tomorrow :)

3 Max Loving Stars!!

This is my review of the series as a whole.

eARC for Honest Review from Pocket Star via NetGalley

The Fetish Box brings a whole world of drama. After the gang deals with the aftermath attack in The Fetish Box , Mary's friend Lillie comes by to help manage the story.

This wasn't a typical porn shop, which mostly left Kim
feeling dirty and a little sad; this was a celebration of sex and
sensuality, a riot of freedom and fun and fantasy.

It should be an easy transition but once Lillie meets Max it is nearly combustable. Lillie has a past and doesn't like to lay roots. Max has his own demons and doesn't trust any woman so the easiest solution would be to stay away from each other.

Once Lillie and Max start exploring they can not stay away from each other no matter how much they try.

Gorgeous.Pain-in-the-ass. Woman. Max didn't know whether to spank her or toss her out of the bar. He was angry. He knew he was angry, nut he couldn't think past the lust that crashed over him. He was leaning towards
spanking her because she was the most beautiful feckin' thing he'd ever
seen in his life, ...

As Lillie tries to drum up more business for the box it also causes her
past to catch up with her. With her past she believes she is cursed. What she didn't expect was this new group of friends to have her back and love her no matter what.

" I think it's a part of you. The thing about curses, my beautiful friend, is that they're often of our own making."

The chemistry between Lillie and Max is explosive and vulnerable.

The story and drama were good. I read the parts consecutively which I think made the story better for me instead of having to wait for each
installment. The ending I wanted a bit more. It all lead up to this
big deal with her past and then you think there is going to be a big
holy shit moment and then its just done and moved on. All in all. Good
quicky sexy drama filled read.

Two weeks have passed from the end of the first book, and Lilli is trying to regroup. There is so much half-developed drama and dysfunction in this installment that the whole story is starting to wear and drag. Lilli has a secret that is “life altering” because yes, there has to be a dramatic point to her need for a change. So, she takes the plunge and shares her secret with this new group of friends – well everyone BUT Max. Because Max is disrupting her carefully planned out trajectory.

Unfortunately, Lilli is the only one who sees her secret as a big deal – even I was nonplussed. And, even with this deeply held fear – she outs herself on the net as The Fetish Queen, with a response and following that are unexpected to all around her. Max is more irritable and cranky in this – he can’t understand Lilli’s behavior or attitude, but he can’t stop wanting her. They are oil and water with a flamethrower waiting to ignite the mix – they do have an amazing chemistry and interplay. But, this installment seemed to serve as a forerunner to increase tension and action for the last in the series.

Sadly, this story is feeling lost to me: the author had a wonderful idea that was full of potential, and that potential has languished. Writing is not easy, writing erotica is even more difficult: you must lose your own hang-ups and delve into the story with both feet. Unfortunately, we’ve only dipped a toe in, and pulled it right out because the water was too cold and scary.

I’ve committed to read all three in this series, and I shall. I just don’t think that the story can recover from disappointing me at this point.

I received an eBook copy from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
After the issues I had with the first in this series of books about Lillehammer Marceaux and the Fetish Box shop, I wasn't really sure what to expect with this book, the middle in the series. I have to say, I found myself quite enjoying it, despite the fact that it suffer from middle-book syndrome where the plot is trying to move forward, but not resolve everything at the same time.
In this book, Lille is trying to boost the Fetish Box's reputation with a series of online films about her, the shop and the staff who work there, while still battling with her feelings for her neighbour Max.
Strangely, I thought the slower pace of this book worked better and it felt more natural when charting Lille's relationships with her friends and co-workers. Max is pretty much relegated in this story to a few moments together with Lille at the end of the book, but I didn't especially miss him or his and Lille's relationship. I ended up thinking that I preferred reading about Lille and her friends and how those relationships developed rather than how she wants to dominate Max in bed - which she never really does and feels forced when reading. That being said, I still have some of the same issues reading this instalment as I did reading the first, namely the way the story just ends without any kind of resolution or mini-conclusion. The story just stops and I can't help feeling that I would've preferred the whole series to be packaged as a complete novel with all three parts than as separate novels, as they don't really work as standalone pieces at all.
Enjoyed this one much more than Part One - definitely worth sticking around for. 3 stars.

This book picks up where the first finished or rather left us hanging. Indeed the chapter heading for book one was chapter 8 and the first chapter for this book is chapter 9. Makes this reader wonder whether this should in fact be one continuous book but the publisher in its infinite wisdom decided that it may make more money dividing the book up into a part work. This type of laziness annoys and disturbs me. There is quite a lot of misspelling and the points of view make the reading confusing.

I was hoping to discover more about the two main characters but we are left hanging. Instead we are introduced to even more lesser characters. The premise of the book has also served its purpose.

The sexual tension is just a tad higher than the previous book especially as far as Max is concerned. The supposedly steamy sex scene isn’t. The only main difference between this and the first book is that Max gets to take charge.

In short the novella is very sluggish and the narrative does not flow.

Most serial novel are self- contained and each scenario ends properly – they are not broken mid scene as these novellas are which is very frustrating.

If it were not for the fact that I had received this trilogy from Netgalley for review I would not be reading the third part of this book.

Full Disclosure: I received a free copy from Netgalley for an honest review.

As Lille worries about the past catching up with her, reality is staring her in the face. No one knows that Lille is living under a fake identity….not even Mary. Desperate to keep her past hidden, Lille realizes she needs to confide in her friends to ease the tension.

Even though Lille has the tough as nails exterior, she live in fear. The life she has lived for so long can come crashing down at any moment. Now that life at the Fetish Box is going viral, fame is just a heartbeat away.

Max and Lille fight their attraction for one another. Both believing they can ‘do the dance’ without attaching feelings to what they have. How long will the fire that fuels their passion burn without erupting in flames?

The second installment of the Fetish Queen builds the tension between Max and Lille. While we do not learn everything about Lille’s past, we do discover more background that centers around how she ended up at the Fetish Box. Each of the characters layers are peeled back a little more in this book. Which leads to more questions than answers.

Blond, buxom, and bold, this fetish queen has 50s style and class with a kink of the most extravagant porn star.

The ultimate pin-up girl Lillehammer Marceaux (Lille) has arrive in Florida to be the Fetish Queen of the Fetish Box. Now to say that I was a bit disappointed after I found part 1 to be a five star., is a complete understatement. I felt cheated. Lillie is working to keep her distance from Max and not really all that open with the others. She has been keeping secrets and distances. That does not make for a good combination when working to build a business.

Realizing things can't continue as they are Lillie makes some changes but still keeps Max out of the loop. Max on the other hand is not real sure what he wants or don't. He is a bag of contradictions himself.

Infamous speaks for itself. She wants the Fetish Box to prosper and her face is connected to that. This brings unwanted attention from the wrong people. If you have not read part 1, part 2 will leaving you wondering WTF. Not a good things.

Part two of the three part series continues the story of Lillie as she strives to turn her friend's erotica shop, The Fetish Box, into a success. This while developing new friendships, fighting her feelings for the sexy Irish bartender, and hiding from her "dark past". The novel was a quick read, but in my opinion not as much fun as the first. To the books credit I found the erotic parts to be better written and more engaging than the first. Camden also took the time to flesh out the secondary characters which was probably one of the highlights of the novel as they more lightheartedly interesting than the leads. I was however disappointed that the larger plot line of Lillie's father seemed to have lagged, it almost felt as though that aspect of the story was just running in place. But like any trilogy I'm hoping for an action packed finale to wrap it all up, I believe Camden has the skill and look forward to seeing her redeem herself.

In part two of this series we continue to follow the relationship of Lillie and Max. We also lean more about the documentary that Lillie has requested that Kim create for the Fetish Box. Through out the story we get to see how Kim has this amazing eye and ability to capture the goings and activities of the people of the Fetish Box

We also get to see more interaction between Max and Lillie and how she is struggling to stay away from him even though she really wants to remain the one in control. Max is definitely starting to figure out more about Lillie he figures he just might have to wait her out.

I wish this book would have been all one book instead of being broken into three different parts. I understand it would have been a longer book but the flow would have been a better flow. I recommend this book to people wanting to try a new author its a great read and she is keeping me really interested to read part three.

Running from the Russian Mafia and a vindictive father, Sarah becomes Lille by changing her identity and using fake papers her mother had secured to ensure her safety. How Lille survives and endures, is a story in itself.

Now, after recently moving to Hollywood, Florida, to help her best friend save her business, perhaps Lille will be able to find the peace she seeks so fervently.

I really enjoyed reading this story. As Lille becomes an Internet sensation through reality videos shot at the store The Fetish Box, life returns to complicated and full of danger. To top is off, there is something about her and Max the owner of the local pub. Attraction does not fully explain how drawn they are to each other.

This review applies to all three installments of this series. Do not let the title misguide you. Yes she runs a fetish shop, yes there is some mild BDSM, but the storyline and the lovers' courtship is worth reading and appealing.

Liked it, but didn't love it. Lille has taken over the Fetish box and has started these videos for their new website. She never planned to be the star of the show, after all she is in hiding from her father. But her unwanted attraction to Max will not go away, and continues to build.

My problem with book two is that Lille and Max spend most the book trying to stay away from each other. What fun is that when you are reading an erotic novel. Yes they have a steamy meet up towards the end, which you are on pins and needles waiting for, but it is short, and doesn't really go anywhere. It was like a build up for a a let down.

There is one more in this current series and I hope it is much better then the last book in the first series. Speaking of series. I hope when the Fetish Queen wraps up we get the brothers story, or Jordan and Kim's.

This installment lowered my rating, it wasn't as good as the first part because it was all about fleshing out the characters. In this installment we learn more about Lille's past, and who her father was. Our pasts always seem to catch up to us. Lille is not the dominant in the sex scene either which makes her a switch unless she's topping from the bottom, which after her entrance it's pretty clear she controls a lot. I'm still not understanding the break ins. Carl even gets drugged and his keys and phone stolen , but the break-ins happened before Lille came on the scene. So that part of the puzzle is still there and it seems escalating. I mean they attacked a girl, and then drugged a guy......who knows what's next. I'm still entertained and there are some good snarky humor, three stars. Thanks netgalley for a read in exchange for a review.

In part two of "The Fetish Queen" Lille comes clean to her friends that her real name is Sarah and she has been on the run from her mobster dad since she was 14 years old. Attempting to stay low on the radar she decides that the best course of action for the Fetish Box Shop is to hire a young girl to tape the daily ins and outs of how the shop operates and post them online. She does not realize what a hit they become because of her. She is now known as the Fetish Queen and sales start to rocket.

This book was good but unlike the first, which was setting the reader up for things to come, there was a calm. There was more good sex scenes but it continued to set the reader up for the final addition in book three.

The characters seemed to grow in this book. A new one was developed, the film maker, and she was something of a tease.

ARC from Netgalley in return for an honest review.
After book 1 I was hoping to find out more about the two main characters and why they are the way they are. We don't find out much about Max at all except a brief synopsis of his mum committing suicide. Considering how much has happened in Lillie's past we also don't get much more than a brief description but the point of the story is their pasts are the reason they shy off relationships, so I needed to know more than I was told. It felt like a big gap.
The plot of the fetish shop served its purpose and there was a relatively steamy but not amazing sex scene.
I'll read the next one as I'm reading them for Netgalley but I'm not overly excited.

Part 2 of The Fetish Queen Infamous is definitely one that seems to be speeding up the story. Lille has become the Fetish Queen in this part of the book. Her life is moving on up in a direction she never expected in her life. People want to see her, be with her and well do dirty things with her. These are things that Max does not like but knows for the first time that Lille is happy. Now to me it just seemed a little bit off. I mean here she is at a point where she is popular and in some ways it scares her. I loved that even though she is getting all this popularity, Lille is still afraid that her happiness will be gone. Stay tuned for the next book.

Lille's past is catching up with her. She doesn't want her friends in harms way yet she debates over telling them the truth. Meanwhile Max and Lille are very confused about they way they feel about each other since neither is willing to admit it nor will they confront their feelings. The video thing was not something I really liked about the story, but I don't feel placing to much of any part of your life, business or personal on the web is a good thing. This book to me moved slower than the first yet I found myself pushing on having to know what happens next. I look forward to the final book to see how everything will be put into place.

This was quick. I was expecting more with Max. Overall Lillie has only really had two meetings with him. I was expecting more of a story line between them.

With this book so short I felt we are missing parts of the story. Does John know about Lillie's past? Did Carl meet his PI at the bar? And did Lillie realize who the PI was? And what did her PI find out about her father? We are being giving hints that things are happening but no information on any of it. Its like some of the story is missing. I hope thing get cleared up in the next book, and hopefully Max will actually be in it!

~~ Received an ARC from Pocket Star, via NetGalley for an honest review. ~~

Book two wasn’t much different from book one for me. It seemed to be the same story and there wasn’t much interaction between the H/h.

One thing I really didn’t like about this book was the fact that we had several POV’s and there is nothing to alert you to the change of POV. I found that and the un-readable irish accent a little annoying.

I’m also still not sure why there is even anything about Lille’s father in the book. I also didn’t find the end scene between Lille and Max all too appealing. I don’t see the love interest between them at all.

Again, it had build up but nothing to thrilling. Short novella, I don't get why the author didn't just combine all three into one book?

The Official Review:

Lille, if you are tyring to stay hidden do not go and make a YouTube video of a sex/fetish shop.

What do you think is going to happen?

Of course in this excerpt, Max (the Irishman) can't get her off his mind. And there little cult like family of friends want them to date, start a real relationship, because well they are perfect for each other. What? because they are both single and like sex. Sign me up.

2 stars again. Why do I put myself through this shit... Thankful that these are short reads.

So I have read the first book in this small novella series and I felt that the first part of this series was good. I enjoyed Max and Lillie. I mean Irish accent!!?? I think that it reads well and it does not feel rushed. A little short, but with enough information for you to understand the plot and the characters. This was good quick read. I like how the author describes the chemistry between these two and that you can feel it as well. Let's see where the author takes us.

THE FETISH QUEEN, part 2 INFAMOUS did not disappoint. Lille and Max are so hot for each other but making excuses why it's never going to work. A fight for dominance has steamy results.

Her "Lille" persona is a Hollywood Sexpot, so she's an instant hit in a web series where's she's dubbed the Fetish Queen. Lille's new fame is great for the Fetish Box. She secretly fears being discovered by the Russian Mobster father she fled years ago. Quick read and I'm looking forward to finale.

In the second of the novella, it start off when it left off in part one. Lille definitely enjoy having kinky sex with the hot irish man. However, her past keep coming up that she may not hide her past anymore. No one knows that she live under a fake identify. Lille definitely have a strong attitiude but she is in fear because her past is no pretty. There is only one way to ease the tension is to relay on her friend by telling them. The novella was a short read that it will take no time to read it. Good story. Cannot wait for the next one.

This is the second in a series of three novellas, focused on The Fetish Queen. It does not and is not meant to, stand alone. This installment moves the story along and I found it interesting and well written. The characters are becoming more engaging and the chemistry is apparent. It's short, sassy and an easy read. Nicole Camden has offered readers a good premise, interesting characters, and the continuation of a good story. I look forward to the other installments and the resolution of the storyline.

My rating dropped a bit from book 1 to book 2. While I felt there was some good character development and interaction, there just seemed to be little plot movement. I was happy that Lille opened up about her past. I love that some secondary characters are getting some page time; specifically Jordan and Carl. And Lille and Max- I’m not sure if I should laugh or cry when it comes to their relationship. I’m hoping that this book is just the lead in to a great ending to this story.
