Naomi Knox is missing.
I don't even f*cking know whether she's dead or alive.
What I do know is that she's the air I need to breathe.
She's my redemption, an all consuming fire that burns in my blood.
And I'll do anything to find her. Anything. Even if it means the end for me.

& & &

Turner Campbell is searching.
But he has no f*cking clue what it is he's searching for.
There's darkness all around and enough secrets to choke.
There are angels, and there are devils. It's impossible to tell them apart.
Light needs to be shone on the truth, but there's no one left to hold the torch. The line between life and death is blurred, and the players are all thoroughly entrenched in the game. The question is: am I still one of them?

C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind - especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.

She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels - romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.

Oh, and Caitlin loves to chat (incessantly), so feel free to e-mail her, send her a Facebook message, or put up smoke signals. She's already looking forward to it.

Another intense, gritty, and ugly read by C.M. Stunich! I don’t know what it is about them, but I love her hardcore books. After that crazy cliffhanger in ‘Real Ugly’, we finally get the answers we’ve been looking for!
I've got a purpose now, and it feels damn good. Everything I do between now and the moment my lips meet Naomi's again, is focused wholly on that task. Nothing else matters.

It’s been days and Naomi is still missing. No one knows if she is dead or alive. After a rough few days, Turner gets his shit together. He knows Naomi is out there, she has to be. He can’t lose the only woman he’s ever loved. He won’t let that happen. So he searches for her. He needs to find her. He will fight for his love.
"When love takes hold of you and bites down, you may as well just surrender because if you fight it, you're fighting the one thing on this earth that's worth living for"

Naomi’s crazy past has come back to bite her in the ass. All of her secrets are being threatened to be released. She’s in a bad place and she isn’t sure if she will be able to be out. Will anyone come for her? Will she be able to survive this? One thing is for sure.... Naomi Knox is a badass. She is a fighter. She may bend, but she won’t break. No matter what happens.
I will bend, but I refuse to fucking break.

 photo 64ec8b09-d9a0-4754-b54a-2ae07abf86ac_zps626d96da.jpg

Turner recruits some help in his quest to find Naomi. His band mate, Ronnie (loved him). Ronnie is able to get some inside information, Turner is finding clues, one being from . It’s hard to know who can be trusted, who is telling the truth, who is lying. It’s hard to trust anyone right now. He needs to find his girl, he can’t lose her.
I’m not afraid of anything but losing this girl. I’ve found what I want in my life and I’m going to have it, the rest of the world be damned.

Turner was different in this book in a lot of ways. This new side of him was fantastic. He was still his old self in the ways that counted, but I loved how devoted he was to Naomi. He wasn’t willing to give up on her, no matter what. He really straightened out trying to find her. And he was really romantic, in a Turner Campbell sort of way.

 photo c7d6245b-9dd3-4af6-9e27-742c2ede4b84_zps00d15a25.jpg

There were some twists and turns. An unconventional romance, hot sex, betrayal, jealousy, lies, truth, and mystery. It’s raw, intense, and crazy... but it has some sweet and beautiful moments too. I absolutely adore Turner Campbell... more now than I did before! I wouldn’t say ‘Get Bent’ ended in a terrible cliffhanger, but that ending was messed up! These are some enjoyable reads. I am excited to see where the next book in the Hard Rock Root’s series will go!

"The show must go fucking on."

And it went. With more drive and vigour that I could ever expected. After huge cliffhanger in Real Ugly, I couldn't wait to see what would happen to Naomi and Turner. And I was not disappointed!

My Naomi and Turner:

SPOILER-FREE REVIEW:
C.M. Stunich took me on one wild and crazy ride with this book. Comparing to first book, Get Bent has a little bit more depressive and angsty feeling. This messed up story fascinated me. Once I picked it up, I didn't put it down until I finished it. There are plenty of average romance stories out there so I am always grateful for finding somehting unique, something out of the norm. And Hard Rock Roots series is exactly that.

Just to make things clear, Get Bent is not ordinary romance story. There is plenty of suspence, drama, music and excitement to make it different and interesting. I loved it!

Again, book is written in dual POV so readers are spare nothing. If it comes to Turner's despair and determination or Naomi's fear and confusion, readers witness it all.

There was visible change in main characters. Especially Turner. You will love this guy in this book! But even though their thinking got more focused and their priorities got better, their lives definitely didn't become less complicated. So be prepared for messed up shit happening. This book is freaking crazy, but in the best way possible.

If you haven't started this series yet, do yourself a favour and do so as soon as possible. Meanwhile, I will be impatiently waiting for next instalment in this series.

5 "wicked cruel and real ugly" stars

I would like to be honest with all you peope out there. I am a stalker. I admit it. Its not my best asset (my husband says my ass is my best ass-set, pun intended) but its the real ugly truth. I stalked C.M. Stunich for a full month for this book. I watched her facebook, I checked her blog, her website and her goodreads daily. It's sick and twisted and I'm not proud. I also stalked Amazon yesterday. About every 15 mins i refreshed the Get Bent page and the moment the motherfucker popped up, I 1 clicked that bitch.
stalker photo: stalker STALKER.jpg

Now I am left with the worst book hangover ever and I just dont know to get past it.

So now that I have put is all out there and came clean about my stalking tendencies, I will go on and tell you about the hard love I have for Turner Fucking Campbell

I fell hard for this man in Real Ugly. He wasn't perfect, he was a complete and utter mess. But I love him (might be the tattoos and the piercings, and the bats around his cock) but he made me want to be his drug of choice.

"This is my tour, and it's my friggin' heart that's bleeding and my love thats lost at sea"

"I want them to write this shit down in the history books, mark this moment as a landmark in life. If i get my way, they will remember this shit forever."

This book isn't the wrap up of a love story. It's not hearts and fucking rainbows. Its raw and real and just BAM in your face. Turner is dead inside. He is lifeless, trying to hold on to what he feels is real and he is losing himself.

They way this books starts off, hurts my heart. I hurt so much for my Turner. He is broken and I want to fix him
 photo original_zps37bcb6a8.gif

"I fell in love with a girl last week. I didn't expect it, didn't even know what was happening to me until it was too late. Now that theres a chance I've lost her, I know I'd do anything to get her back"

During this whole entire book, Turner say's such profound things. He grabbed ahold of my heart from the very first page and I am still waiting for him to give it back.

"If I let love make me weak, then I wouldn't be Turner "fucking" Campber"

"Naomi Knox had this... this something inside her that made me think of puppies and kitty cats. I want to kiss her face off and make babies with her, and she is the only women on this earth that I would give the Title of Mrs. Turner Campbell to. Fuck the rest of the groupies"

"Love....Man, it fucks with everything you are and everything you want to be. I like it and hate it"

So many times while reading this book i just thought to myself damn
 photo tumblr_ltwpuw83cG1qay5ogo6_r1_250_zpsb58c6968.gif
and i kept wondering if that would put me out of my angst pain.

The way C.M. Stunich wrote this book was just brilliance. Your reading along loving Turner Fucking Campbell and then all of sudden your like
 photo fml_zpsc7bc906f.gif

I was left sitting in my chair, gripping my IPad for dear life and yelling at my husband to please just leave me alone. My kids would ask me a question and im like
 photo tumblr_lcog03Y7nM1qbaqjc_zps8aec8eb7.gif

But then ms. Stunich throws a curve ball and you were just sitting there hating her and then BAM. she fucking throws you off your ass and you feel things you never imagined

"Love is a disease, man, and I am fucking chronic"

"When love takes hold of you and bites down, you may as well just surrender because if you fight it, you're fighting the one thing on this earth that's worth living for"

I will leave you with this

I want a Mrs. Turner Campbell bracelet!!

description

The love bug has bitten Turner Campbell and he will stop at nothing to find Naomi and help her with the insane mess she’s in.

"Love is a disease, man, and I am fucking chronic.”

Amongst the kidnappings, crazy foster siblings, weird gifts, crooked cops and tornados, Naomi finally lets her guard down around her heart and I’m stoked to see where Turner and Naomi’s relationship will go for here.

"You're learning to love."

Pure. Simple. True.

Once again, the stage scenes were written off the charts, the mystery aspect is still ongoing and seems to threaten both bands at the moment.

”I grind my pelvis into my instrument, pretending it’s Turner’s body, so I know they’re feeling how I felt, how I want to feel for the rest of my fucking life. I don’t want to love. I don’t. But I do.”

Truthfully, I’m along for the ride for Turner and Naomi, the mystery aspect is minor for me.

"Get Bent" is book #2 in the "Hard Rock Roots" series, and it starts off right where the story left off in the first book. Naomi is missing, and most people think she is dead. I loved how Turner refused to give up on the fact that she was alive. I had started to worry at the beginning when Turner was at his "bottom". He couldn't handle his grief and was using hard core drugs, and I seriously thought to myself that if he continues with behaving this way I am ditching this book. I am happy to say that Turner does pull up his big boy pants and he really redeems himself in this book. I even began to develop a major soft spot for the guy. Love seemed to really give him a wake up call, and make him determined to figure out just what was going on with Naomi's disappearance.

I don't want to say too much about what goes on in this story. Let's just say that there are many secrets that come out. There is still that drama that was present in the first book, but there is so much more mystery within the storyline. The book kept me guessing and on my toes from start to finish. Not only are there secrets, but there is tons of betrayal, hatred, and some violence. It isn't all bad though, and there is also; romance, love, and of course, sex!

Once again C.M. Stunich writes a brilliant story that is impossible to put down. My curiousity was piqued right from the start, there was nothing that could drag me away from this book. (Well...my grandson can...but he can drag me away from anything!!!)
I am now fully engaged in this series and Ms. Stunich is an author that will be on my auto buy list for sure.

WOW again! 4,5 Stars
So i wont forget to mention it later: what a great cover..
What a messed up, crazy and toxic book..
What a crazy ending, and i want more..

The story picks up three days after Naomi's abduction..
Turner is a wreck and does his best to locate her and save her..
Ronnie is by his side and helps him deal with the situation, but the answear will be given by Katie..
And then a new more horrific story will start unraveling..

I really loved this book..Finally we got a bigger glimpse on their past which i loved..
I loved the story with the hotel and how Milo had to drag hiim out of there and then he fell into depresion..
He was in love with her even back then..
I knew it..

And after she is free more secrets, more lies more crazyness..
But with a Turner that has solid feelings for Naomi and a Naomi that knows deep in her heart that she loves him still.
It was actually pretty good to observe them been all alone for as long Naomi was hidding with only Ronnie knowing the truth and the band trying to make him ditch the mystery woman.. And then BAM!!
You know what happens..

I had some problems with believing some things like:
Why anyone would go to a concert when there is a tornado on it's way is beyond me..
Or how after a week in captivity the first thing you do is having sex in a concert and not being devastated..
But whatever i don't care really.. I only care about what is the mystery.. I actually think it has to do with Turner and Naomi was a collateral damage..
So we are back in square one with so many things unsaid and a cliffhanger better than the previous thank God!!

THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK

- Their past!! AWWWWWWWWWWW!
- There is a duel POV, but mostly Turner..
- America with a secret plot! Wow!
- I didn't like Trey's approach at the beggining but he is trying!!
- Mrs Campbell bracelets! Awwww!!And how Turner thought about Naomi to be the one!!!
- Ronnie is still a great friend and really helpfull..
- Hayden is a really crazy bitch!!! God she is too involved in whatever this thing is..
- Katie is a real mystery..
- Powerfull ending.. The I love you scene was amazing!

The books picks up from Real Ugly where Naomi is missing. Turner doesn't give up and continues his search for her.

 photo 1371898750516476_animate.gif

The suspense gets you going, I need more of them and the band. Dax, Ronnie, Trey all are too cute.

A well written series but I just felt the author didn't need have too many cliffy. One in a series is already too much!!! They are def not cool!!!!! Heartache!!!! Eventually, I might up when I think I am cool with a closure LOL

 photo giphy-5-1.gif

"I love you, Naomi. I don't mince words and I don't sugarcoat shit. I said what I meant, and I meant what I said"

"I'd have to say too damn bad. I get what I want, Naomi, and what I want is you. Get used to it"

Happy reading

"5 Real Fucking Ugly Turner & Naomi Stars !!"

"I'm going to find you, Knox. You can bet your sweet ass that i won't rest until you're lying in my arms, sated and sweaty, filled with me while i'm consumed by you."

My Turner :

My Naomi :

"If love makes you crazy, then the absence of it drives you insane."

What an amazing book! I devoured every second of it! I usually don't like Sequels, but in this case, I couldn't wait to read it!!
This book consists suspense and mystery, which the author draws you in and kept you guessing what's going on, with each chapter goes by, a new questions arise, and along with the characters you are trying to figure out what the hell is going on!

Get Bent starts where Real Ugly leaves off. And I must say that i fell even more in love with Turner :)

"I want to fucking destroy. Nothing bad can happen to her or Turner Campbell will cease to exist and Vengeance will take his place."

He didn't give up on her, he believe she is still alive, and He tries to to find her. What I liked about Turner, despite everything, he didn't give up on her until the end. Not when she was missing and not after He was stubborn and confident and he deserves all the respect that he so needed.

"Respect.
Naomi Isabelle Knox respects me.
My soul screams a ballad of joy and my heart explodes inside my chest."

"I love you, Naomi, and i'll say it a million times if you need me to. Every day until the day i die. Even if you don't belive me, even if you don't accept it, i'll say it forever. I'm twenty-eight years old. I know what i want at this point on my life.

And what i want is you."

Also, he takes her place in the band, Despite the opposition of the band to Perform, to revive her music.

"Get onstage with me. Music heals, Dax. Even the ugliest fucking souls can take it in and heal a little. Play her songs, keep her alive."

To tell the truth, I'm most interested in the romance, so I was a bit worried, with Naomi disappearance and all the mystery, i was afraid that the author will not focus on the romance .. But have no fear my lovely friends, she's not reduce the romance and this couple was fucking amazing !

I loved them in real ugly, but in get bent they were more .. how to say it .. gentle .? ;) Yet every encounter between them was one big explosion, but in addition to all this, there was also gentleness and tenderness .. they were sweet :)

"Have you ever made love before, Turner?"

"Nope."

"Me either."

"We go back and forth for a few minutes before she slowly, softly, tentatively, wraps her arms around me and hold me tight."

Despite the the driving plot, what I liked in this book was also their journey .. Turner worked on himself, he wanted to be a better man for her .. he is changing and he doesn't even know it, he keeps it cool, more considerate of people, control his short temper and feel emotions that he didn't think he will ever feel.

"I am Happy. Yeah. Happy. That horrible H-word that we spend our lives searching for."

another aspect that I liked is that Turner realized that if he would quit using drugs he will be more focused and his chances of finding her will be higher.

"whether this is a trend that'll continue, who the shit knows? i'm not saying i want to go straight-edge or anything, but if i have to stop using to think straight, and thinking straight leads me to Naomi, I'll become a damn priest."

Naomi too has a journey to go .. She is trying to learn to forgive Turner and put the past behind.

"I just wanted you to know that i'm surprised by you .. for sticking around, for not runnig off and forgetting me the second i was gone. You tried. You sang my songs, and somehow, i heard you. I didn't realize it until now, but that was one of the things that kept me sane.

I guess what i'm trying to say is, thank you. And .. I respect your passion and your commitment, Turner Campbell."

Captivating plot, the book flows and I really didn't want to finish reading it, I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I liked most of the minor characters, the combination with the stage performances and music were explosive and a great addition to the book!

"I haven't completely forgiven you for the things you've done, but i love you just the same. I love you. I love you."

A must read ! you will not be disappointed :)

pre-read: oh hello guy on the cover, can i wash my clothes on your abs

*

Oi!
WHAT WAS THAT
WHAT WAS EVERYTHING

!!!!

"You're not looking for love. But what if it bit you in the ass?"

Get Bent is even more confusing than Real Ugly. There was so much going on that you cannot keep up with everything but somehow I enjoyed the ride. Turner is a bit different in this, I can't pinpoint exactly what is different but yeah he gives out a different vibe. He is such a mess in this one, what with Naomi disappearing and all, I can feel his pain. Somehow I think Get Bent is more Turner's book than Naomi's, simply because Turner has a bigger presence in it.

THAT ENDING.

I hate that ending. Damn cliffhanger.

This is going to be short and sweet!!

I enjoyed this book....I enjoy all these characters BUT the story line is getting OUT OF CONTROL! By the end of the book I was almost to the point of eye rolling, which kills me because I REALLY like Turner and Naomi!!! I love the gritty aspect of their relationship but I highly doubt that I will continue this series....or maybe I just need a break and then resume. I honestly don't know what I will do because the basis of the book is completely unbelievable at this point.

I did like the fact that Turner and Naomi really matured in this book....they were a little less "about the party."

Addendum: a gr friend told me I will find out the why in book 4 so I may continue on now:)

3/3.5 Scandulous Sex, Drugs & Rock n Roll Stars!!
"I'm making this pledge out of love, stupid or not, because without that, there ain't nothing in this world worth living for."

Crazy love photo: crazy crazy.jpg
Get Bent picks up exactly where Real Ugly left off. This hardcore nitty gritty story of Turner and Naomi's love/hate relationship is fascinating to read. You get sucked into their web of lies, deceit, and redemption. But the most intriguing part is the chemistry between Turner & Naomi. Their tumulteous relationship is unlike any other, and ultimately this is what keeps us at the edge of our seat.

But this is more than your unconventional rock star romance book. This is so much more, its beyond the rock n roll, sex and drugs which is the main theme here but its also incorporates other elements such as Who dunnit mystery?, Along with the raw, intense relationship which consist of Turner & Naomi, we also get snippets of vulnerable moments.

Naomi Knox has this....this something inside her that made me think of puppies and kitty cats. I want to kiss her face off and make babies with her, and she is the only damn woman on this earth that I would give the title of Mrs. Turner Campbell to.

Crazy love photo: crazy love CRAZYLOVE.jpg

All in all, this is a fast paced, edge of your seat read, that will leave you wanting more of Turner & Naomi. Long live the King, & Queen of Rock n Roll

craziness....I accidentally read book 2 before book 1...no wonder i was so totally mixed up lol! honestly really liked this series...dark, gritty, disturbing, suspenseful and yet emotional at the same time! after going back and reading book 1, I was in a much better place, lol! CM Stunich is quickly becoming one of my faves! She has a unique ability to create dark but likeable characters in less than favorable circumstances. Her characters are not pretty and clean, yet u are connected and immersed in their world!

This series is rough and dark. I am looking forward to the conclusion of Naomi and Turner's journey since it has clearly just begun!

Seriously? Another cliffhanger?

I liked Real Ugly better. The beginning was slow. It focused less on their relationship and more on the mystery. This book is a rock-n-roll version of whodunnit with twists and turns.

I thought this was the ending. Turns out its another huge cliff hanger with another apology from the author about it. Don't apologize, just stop fucking doing it. Totally lost interest in this series and will most likely not finish it. If you have to write an apology at the end of the book it means that you should probably fix what you are apologizing for. I am so fucking pissed right now

DISCLAIMER TO MY FELLOW GOODREADER
This review is my personal opinion and may contain: spoilers, quotes, rants, cussing (sometimes I cannot help myself) and a possible full on recap. I in no way want to ruin anyone’s book reading experience so please read my words with caution.

I NEED THIS BOOK RIGHT FUCKING NOW!

Holy crap how did this slip under my radar and get released yesterday and me not notice?! That's it! I'm reading it, everything else can fucking wait until this book gives me answers.

Story picks back up three days later with Turner sticking drugs into his veins to dull the pain he is feeling from losing Naomi. He's not a pretty sight. Trey is seriously worried he may die and Turner could care less. The morgue cannot even identify the bodies, they are so cut up and mangled. No one knows for sure who they are. Trey wants him to get over it because he had a week long affair with her. I held my breath waiting for Turner's reaction, but the meth doesn't allow it. Turner slips Naomi's glasses on and takes her guitar (well a copy because remember Naomi smashed hers) on stage to play for Amatory Riot. He doesn't want her music to die.

"Where the fuck are you, Knox? With your pretty blonde hair and your sunglasses and your fuck you all attitude."

Holy fuck. Chapter two has me breathing again. Naomi is alive. Turner kills it on stage with Amatory Riot. Freaking barefoot girl (Katie) just blankly stares at him from the back. Of course Turner can't get to her and ask who the fuck "he" is and what is going on. Mrs. Turner Campbell bracelets are made and Turner snaps a picture and post, "only woman that could ever hold this title is missing. Help me find Naomi Knox and keep the music alive."

Where in the fuck is Naomi?! Knowing she is alive is not good enough.

Holy fucking shit Hayden just walked on stage covered in dirt and blood. She doesn't say much, but Turner knows its all connected. He sees Katie again and crowd surfs to her. She tells him the Devil has Naomi and she has been sprinting from him. Excuse me? Can you be any more vague?

"Nobody questions my love for Naomi. Nobody."

I want to throttle Hayden. She just walked into where Naomi is being held captive. What the fuck? I want to know what is going on.. seriously. Katie comes next. The power goes out at the venue and Turner thinks he's imagining things when Naomi shows up. Katie let her go and she walked on stage when the lights went out to get to Turner. They end up fucking bareback on stage in the curtains.

Turner takes Naomi back to their tour bus to stash her. She makes him get her the morning after pill, but I am not entirely sure if she took it. Until they find some more answers they don't want anyone knowing she has escaped. Only Ronnie and Dax know at this point. Dax decides he will be the inside man, but he fucks Hayden. Little too far man. Katie sent the video to Turner and America so Naomi could know who she could trust. Oh. My. God. Milo pulled Turner from the hotel room all those years ago because Naomi was only 16. Heart sunk. Naomi goes out to find Katie again and runs into freaking Hayden and a cop tries to snatch her. Hayden fills in some holes. Eric is the one behind her involvement. She was snatched and they needed her help. Eric just wants Katie and Naomi, but apparently all of Amatory Riot and Indecency are targets.

Oklahoma City. The weather is fucking brutal. There is talk of a tornado. Naomi is ready to come back and she calls the cops to speak with them. She wants back out on her stage with her guitar and her music. When she comes out and strips out of her disguise.. I got fucking chills. Both Eric and Katie are in attendance. I want to know what's going on and who is behind everything. It's so much bigger than any of us even realize. The sirens go off. Tornado is fucking coming and it's MAYHEM. As Naomi is corralling everyone out to find a ditch Eric shoots Turner in the leg. Naomi won't let him and Eric tells her he will keep her safe and Turner knows everything and is on it. Excuse me? Naomi turns Turner over and tells him she loves him and plasters her body over him - protecting him. Freaking Katie appears and kills Eric. Then someone has America's wedding ring..

WHAT. THE. FUCK.

Another cliffy! How could you do this to us A-FUCKING-GAIN...? I kept glances at the percentage on my kindle and I was like no she wouldn't put us through another one, oh but you freaking did! I'm so confused.. My head hurts.

Book 3 needs to come right fucking now!

Contain spoiler from Book 1

After the awful cliffhanger in Book 1, Turner Campbell is suffering through the aftermath of Naomi’s disappearance. Everyone is believing she’s dead, but not him. He believes she is out there somewhere, waiting for him to come in to save her and sweep her off her feet.

“I’m going to find you, Knox. You can bet your sweet ass that I won’t rest until you’re lying in my arms, sated and sweaty, filled with me while I’m consumed by you.”

I thought his love for her had turn into a full on obsession and mind you is not creepy or weird, is just plain hilarious. The things he would do to find her and then when she finally did resurface (of course she did), his dedication to win her heart. Aww… Turner. Some might think he turned into a total puppy, but I thought otherwise. He’s a changed man when he’s in love. Although I appreciated that his crude words and sarcasm still remain. You still want to hit him over the head for the ideas that came from his clogged brain.

“Falling in love is like catching an incurable disease. Yeah, maybe that doesn’t sounds so romantic, but it’s true. It’s incurable and it’s contagious as shit. It makes you want to have babies and raise kittens, pet butterfly wings and sleep with your head on somebody else’s chest. Love… man, it fucks with everything you are and everything you want to be. I like it and hate it.”

We knew from previous book that Naomi is the main reason for most of the things that happen. But I find that this book is very much a Turner book. I find myself not very caring about the who, what and why did things happen. I just want Turner to get his girl, fuck her crazy, sing his song and make Campbell babies.

Although the entire mystery pertaining Naomi’s brother and sister felt too convoluted to me, I find the romance plot help in keeping me engage and not feeling totally cheated when I was left with tons of unanswered question and a mild cliffy. If you think that Book 1 left you puzzled, Book 2 is even worst. I actually don’t give a damn any more. I’m just glad Turner and Naomi got their sort of HEA for now. I was told that Ronnie’s story was next in the series, but I dying to read more on Naomi and Turner. I hope he gets to make some Campbell babies that he so desperately wanted.

Again this book did not disappoint. Good writing and a story that is not afraid to tell the truth.

Book #2 in the Hard Rock Roots series

Naomi Knox is missing. No one knows if she is alive or dead. There is a body in the morgue that can not be identified. Turner is not losing hope that Naomi is still alive. He can't because he will not be able to breathe without her. Turner is searching for her everywhere he is positive she is alive even though everyone else has said she is dead. With no sold proof he will not believe it.

This is a story of Angels & Demons and maybe a hybrid of the 2. Who is in on the murder & possible kidnapping? Who can Turner trust? The police are not doing anything to help the situation. Does any of this have to do with Naomi past? Is her step brother Eric involved and what is going on with the step sister Katie? How does Katie fit in to all of this, is she an innocent girl trapped in a horrible family who raped & beat her or is she sane enough to help figure out this puzzle? Katie speaks craziness but somewhere among the craziness is truth, Turner just has to separate the craziness from the truth and figure out the puzzle. Then, maybe Turner will find Naomi, if she is not dead.

Turner can't sleep, can't do anything but drugs since Naomi is missing. About the 3rd day of not knowing where Naomi is or what is being done to her, Turner realizes he can not get messed up and think clear. Turner must stop getting high, drunk, and stay sober to figure this puzzle out. He needs Naomi like he needs air to breathe. He has to find her. He can't even look at another woman or even think about having sex with another woman after Naomi. He can't even have sex with him self at this point there is no reason to. He can not function. If Turner does not find Naomi soon he might just go insane himself.

Get Bent (Hard Rock Roots #2) by C.M. Stunich was a great continuation to book 1 Real Ugly which left us on a huge cliffhanger. It begins pretty much where the first book ended. This book ends on a minor cliffhanger which just leaves you with the obvious suggestion that there is more story to come and expectantly more answers. I am hopeful that book 3 will be the last book in this series, because quite honestly as much as I am enjoying this series & these characters I really want to see the conclusion at this point and find out wtf is going on! Both books have the alternating POV’s which I happen to love and works very well here. The first book I gave 4.5 stars, I’m going to knock this one down a bit to 4 stars. However I can’t truthfully say it’s the books fault. I was having a very busy weekend and was squeezing in a chapter here & there which probably screwed up the momentum. Therefore I still highly recommend book 1 & 2 and I can’t wait till book 3 comes out. Please C.M. Stunich don’t stretch this out to a book 4! I don’t think I can take much more!

UGH! I loved this book but I'm pissed because of another FUCKING.CLIFFHANGER!

I'm really not in the mood to write a full review...I have WAY to many quotes highlighted and I don't think I can accurately describe this book and my feelings towards the plot or the characters.

I didn't really LOVE Turner until this book, but his 180 made me fall...hard! Naomi is a hard one to pin down. She's built this shield around her and it's almost impossible to break. I'd get angry with her from time to time but I think she redeemed herself towards the end.

I'm just pissed, not at the author, but at myself. I should KNOW better! I need to read other reviews better so I don't leave myself hanging again. I was smart enough to wait and read Real Ugly until this book came out...I should have waited until the next one came out too. I can't stand the waiting...I just hope these characters stay alive long enough (in my head) so I can jump into the story again...when the third book is released.

More like 3.5.

I still read it in one sitting, and it was entertaining, but a lot of it is getting a little old. I think book 3 will decide it for me, to see if this goes someplace new. Although I've just seen book 3 is about different characters.

Also, I remember thinking this when I read Groupie, but the scenes where they're performing are so damn cheesy with the lyrics, I can't really take it seriously!

She writ d good messed up characters though, that's what I keep coming back to!

4 FRUSTRATED TURNER STARS

Honestly throughout the story my face just kind of had that expression. I don't know whether to really hate or love this story. Turner and Naomi both I mean both made me

and their

wasn't a joke. Turner OH WOW Turner really knows what he wants and won't stop till he gets it but unfortunately stubborn Naomi can kill the mood. No doubt though Turner is actually a fun funny guy if he wasn't so drugged asshole or whatever he does cause if you actually have read this story then the mysteriousness of this story plus the sexed up sexiness to Turner when he really gets it on with Naomi heats up with his POV and plus not only that but you'd wonder WTF is really going on.

It's an actual okay read if you've given the chance to follow each character and wonder what their dirty secrets are plus the story itself is dark, drama, weird and just a big confusing mind blowing cliffy that you'd actually want to read more about. As for me I'd like to see where Turner and Naomi will end up at.
