Review for Firecracker Gone Astray by Megan Flint
Book provided by author for honest review, no spoilers!
Firecracker Gone Astray is book two of the Firecracker series, book one was Megan’s debut as an author and she did not disappoint one bit. Her follow up is more amazing than the first. (And somehow even hotter too!) I just can’t get enough! (Poor Megan is going to wish she never met this blogger with how much I bug her for the next in the series!)
We follow Trixie back into the city after her weekend getaway turned hump-a-thon. Cy follows his Firecracker back to the city and spends some time playing house.* When Cy goes home Trixie is left wondering if she was too quick to judge some of those men of her past. Not finding the motivation she needs to push herself in her exercise routine, she decides to try a new gym. (*meaning humping like bunnies on Viagra)
Enter Erik, one of only three men to have survived Trixie’s detonation. Now, let me just stop here to say… Cy is a freakin’ stud and a half, I was totally smitten with him from the moment he was introduced in book one. Erik, holy-freakin-hotness-Batman! (And then the clouds parted and the Angels sang.) Am I being overly dramatic? No, no, nope, no way. I think I ruined my panties twice over with this one!
I could literally gush on and on about this book, but I’ve already given away too much. I can’t give this book stars… it just isn’t appropriate. I give this one five pairs of soaked panties! If you love smut and you haven’t picked up on this series yet, you are seriously missing out!

When we last seen Trixie, I was left wondering what the heck that girl could come up with next! I suppose looking back, after reading the book I could see how after the time she had spent with Cy why she would start looking into her past relationships. And seeing what exactly it was that had went wrong, and to figure out why she left them.
I wasn’t that shocked when she went seeking out Erik. Well I do have to say, her seeking out Eric was completely HAWT. That was INSANE. Holy tomato sauce, I will never be able to read a shower scene without thinking about this one.
With that being said and done, we didn’t learn too much more about her in this story. I think this book was more about the smut factor than anything. And trust me the smut factor was really high in this story. And I wasn’t left disappointed in anything from that area.
The one thing that I did enjoy about this book, were the cat fights. I’m sorry you can’t have a smutty book like this and not have cat fights. Especially when you have a character as hot as Erik. HOLY WOWZER. I do have to give the author complete props for the fact that she is able to describe the males in such a way that you can visualize them very well.
Overall there were some minor editing issues, and with normal people I don’t think it would bother them, but with me I do notice those things. I do have to say that this book was still very good and I can’t wait to read more.

I just finished Firecracker Gone Astray and I liked it. This is the 2nd in the series and I thought it was better. Trixie and Cy have parted (Cy having to go back to work) and Trixie left to her own devices. Because of what she is feeling, has decided to go back and think about her past relationships and see if she was too hasting on her decisions. Here comes Erik. He is a trainer and was one of her one night stands. She apologizes to him and he explains things that he felt in the past and they basically pick right up where they left off.
This story is a quick and smutty read. It is a step up from the 1st one. I think Erik is sexy and as always Trixie is her fiery self. There is an obstacle and its Vanessa. This is Erik's business partner and friends with benefits. I’m definitely reading the next one to see what happens.

More lady gushing for our reading pleasure. That's right, Trixie likes to orgasm in a glorious explosion of lady fluid and she's found a couple of men who help keep her lady parts lubed.
Now, while I like Trixie's approach to finding a man, part of me is thinking that she was very quick to move onto Erik when she's still technically with Cy. I understand that she's missing him and his amazing staying power but... he's not GONE, just gone back to work. Having read the blurbs for the rest of the series, I can see there's going to be some friction (heh!) in the future between her and her two men.
Enjoyable and definitely sexy. Trixie now has two men who are okay with her explosive orgasms. *thumbs up* on that count!

This is the second back in the Firecracker series and it just keeps getting better! Trixie has spent some fun time with her man Cy but when he goes back to work and won't see her for a couple of weeks, Trixie decides to keep herself busy. But then she runs into a former fling in Erik and things get interesting. Once again, Trixie is a blast in this book. She is very funny and likes to get what she wants. The dynamic between her and Erik is amazing. A very hot and enjoyable read! Excited to see how this story continues. Megan Flint is a very good author and I loved both stories of the Firecracker series!

Oh, Trixie!
This series just gets more interesting! Cy and Trixie have a great time together, but unfortunately he has to go back to work and won't get to see her for another few weeks. Then Trixie being bored signs up for a class. She runs into Erik, a guy from her past who she seems to have unfinish business with. We learn more about Trixie. She's funny, but also very tough and stands her ground. She's also very competitive and doesn't mind challenges that are thrown at her. Can't wait to read the 3rd book!

Trixie spent time with Cy and feels like she has finally met someone who can accept her. But when he returns to work and she starts thinking about her past, she realizes that maybe there are others. She decides to look Erik up and apologize for how she left him. Will the two rekindle what they had...

A fun read with hot sex scenes and fun characters. The writing is excellent and provides the reader with an good flowing story. This is a very short book and part of a series but could be a read alone.

I was kinda sad to see her move on a bit to Eric from Cy but still a "hot" read!! Looking forward to seeing where this story goes.
