Rate this book
Libraries are dangerous places - for a witch.

Young, free and far from home, Alyth has set out this year on a voyage of self-discovery. After cheating on her werewolf boyfriend with an incubus, she is driven into the arms of her lesbian best friend Tina. When Alyth goes in search of the vampire Carmilla one day, an enigmatic librarian called Lily shows her just how dangerous stories can be.

Erotic and explicit, Alyth's misadventures have only just begun.

Alyth is a spunky and modern witch who retells and reflects upon her experiences with the narrator of this story. Alyth casts spells using produce from the grocery store and constantly has an inquisitive mind despite the non-believers around her. After her werewolf boyfriend disappears, Alyth begins a relationship with her female friend, Tina. While on a search for the infamous lesbian vampire Carmilla, Alyth meets a mysterious woman named Lily. Alyth and Lily share an educational and steamy encounter which Alyth cannot let go.

Some time later Alyth brings Tina to the library in search of Lily. After casting a spell Lily is revealed but things don't turn out exactly as Alyth had planned. Instead of encountering Lily together, Tina disappears altogether while Alyth is left behind after an erotic and painful experience. What happened to Tina and what is the mystery behind Lily?

I struggled to rate this one because the story was well-written and very imaginative. However, I just didn't reach the depth I usually like in a story and felt I didn't truly get to understand and enjoy the characters. This was a good read but I think I would prefer something more in-depth and longer by this talented author.
