Argh! With that ending, how can I write this review properly when all I want to do right now is dive into the next book!

In short, this second installment was better than the first one. Sometimes stupid cheesy drama simply hits the spot for me, and in this case, it really did! I enjoyed the drama in this story a lot despite both David and Sophie’s apparent overreactions. In this book, Sophie acted a bit childish at times, but hey, she's eighteen! Well, I can make an exception for her since David wasn’t acting any more mature than her though he was already twenty-seven. I got frustrated with him when he never answered any questions she asked.

Ok, I really need to know what will happen next. So, off to the third one!

This series continues to move along at a blinding speed, but there are a few more tidbits provided about the characters that keeps me tuned in. I actually wish these two would quit having sex and just talk! They are still virtually strangers, even married, and the only thing that doesn't seem to be a secret between the two is the sexual chemistry they have together.

There are some pretty big issues brewing in this serial, but it was hard for me to feel much emotion, one way or the other, because I don't know much of anything about David or Sophie. Toward the end of this book, David seems to have been exposed as the jerk I originally thought he was. Then, the epilogue shows a different side of him and again, I'm questioning his motives.

I also really wanted Sophie to grow a spine when they argued. Instead, in the midst of a huge argument, he touches her and without getting any answers, she hops into bed with him! I definitely had some eye rolling moments toward the end of this one. I love a good, steamy romp as much as the next reader, but anticipation is key.

More character development is needed still, but I'm going to stick it out because I want to know exactly what David's intentions were/are. I learned more about him in the epilogue, than in the rest of books 1&2 combined. Hopefully, more time will be spent on any aspect of this story other than the sex.

I have a feeling this is going to be a serial. This was also quite short, I was left wanting to know what would happen next. A little more light was shed on why David did the things he did in Awakening.

I think I'd prefer it, if this was a complete book. I need to know more about David! This novella wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, it was over in the blink of an eye, which is a bit frustrating.

Again, a very quick read that sucked me in only to finish abruptly. I'm turning, turning then it's OVER so fast!

The 2nd instalment in this series was better than the first. It captured me from the first page and by the last I was weeping for Sophie. Although she's eighteen, she comes across as mature for her age, but that I'm sure, has everything to do with her circumstances growing up.

Sophie finally develops a backbone when it really counts but I couldn't help empathizing with what she went through. Yes, she's naive and so full of hopeful love but she's authentic and honest with her feelings and expectations. Her dreams are shattered by David immensely, and I was rooting for her.

I have many questions of course concerning David. Why did he do what he did with Sophie? Is there an ulterior motive? Is he using her? And if so, for what purpose? What's the real story with that bitch Carole? So many questions! It doesn't help that David is so mysterious but I have my theories about him.

We get a teaser of the 3rd novella and its in his POV. It gives us a glimpse of the possible way he actually feels about Sophie and what his life was like as a child. I honestly think he cares about her greatly but for reasons not yet revealed, he is trying to remain emotionally unavailable.

This was very quick and to the point but I'm realizing I like that. The writing is good and the story flows very well. There's no filler--just the goods. And despite the similarities to FSoG, there was enough here to distinguish itself. Really looking forward to the next instalment!

GENRE: Contemporary romance
STEAM: High
POV: 1st person, Sophie
CLIFFY: Yes!!!!! Bad move David! **grrrr!**

"You’re an aphrodisiac.” He murmurs in my ear, his voice husky. “I want you every minute,”

Part two of The Dangerous Man series and we pick up exactly where we left off at the end of Awakening. Super rich David Preston has married innocent little Sophie and is now whisking her off to his penthouse in Seattle and a life of luxury beyond her wildest dreams.

I got a really strong feeling when I was reading Awakening that all was not as it seemed and my fears appear to be grounded after reading Rebellion. David is being economical at best with the truth where Sophie is concerned and she's rightfully worried and a little bit afraid of what the future holds. She has no doubt that she’s in love with David but she has no idea how he feels about her. Yes, the sex is great but does it go any deeper than that for him?

Sophie is like a true innocent walking into the lion’s den with no protection – she appears to be a pawn in a far bigger game. She’s a sweetheart but incredibly naive and David is a Goliath – a man who’s power and control seemingly knows no bounds. In fact, I liked him a lot less in this one. I really wanted him to love her, to show some kind of emotion towards her but he just seems to want to possess her and I fear for her.

“I wanted you the moment I saw you standing outside that little shop in that small town, looking so lost and alone. I wanted your innocence, your beauty,” he leans over and drops a soft kiss on the sensitive corner of my lips, “I wanted your body Sophie, I wanted to see your face when I make you scream my name.”
His words set a desperate fire to my blood. I lean into him, hungry for him. When it comes to this, I can’t fight him. I make one last attempt. ‘You didn’t have to marry me,” I whisper, “You already had me.”
“And then I wanted no one else to ever have the pleasure. Understand that Sophie,” He says, moments before his mouth descends on mine in a scorching kiss. “You are mine.”

There’s a pretty big cliffy at the end of this one. I did enjoy it and it’s very sexy and, when David is in a good mood, I like him a lot but, as always with these erotic e-serials, I’m left wanting more, to have the plot fleshed out and to get to know the characters a little better.

“Rebellion” was an absolute hott and exciting read. It picks up right where Awakening left off. David and Sophie are married and Sophie is definitely in marital bliss until she realizes that she doesn’t get to spend as much time with David as she would like. A woman by the name of Carole Banks seems to pop up in a few conversations Sophie hears but she has no idea who Carole is. Is David trying to keep Sophie as a secret? Sophie soon realizes that things between her and David may never be the way she wants them. Carole is a part of David’s past but is she still a part of his future or is Carole seeking revenge? Sophie has to make a decision that she never thought she would have to make so soon. Have David really married her for love or did he marry her or does he have an ulterior motive. “Rebellion” is a short, steamy read but it is sooo good. I swear this series just gets better and better; I wish it wasn't so short because I wanted more. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a good quick read filled with sex, suspense, mystery and revenge.

And the plot thickens.

In this sequel to A Dangerous Man, there were answers but there were also more questions towards the end. We get to see more of David's soft side towards Sophie but you just know that he's a man covered in layers and layers of secrets. And of course, the drama ensues. I like how Sophie is slowly coming into her own in this one and actually having the wits and guts to question things happening around her.

But what I loved most about it was that despite its shortness and a cliffy ending, I didn't feel that the story was incomplete. It just left me wanting for more.

Steamy, compelling and frustrating!

In book 1 we met Sophie who has had quite a tragic life. Her mother died during child birth and she has never known her father. Her very strict and old fashioned aunt raised her but even she passed away recently. Sophie is struggling with financial problems and her job at the local town gift shop looks uncertain so she is considering leaving and trying to set up life elsewhere.

Enter David. Gorgeous, rich, successful, charming stranger with a secretive side. He is passing the shop and steps in. Fireworks explode.

Their story here picks up the day after the wedding. 3 days after they first met. You do have to suspend belief for this part. However the quick marriage on his part is explained later on although I couldn't help but think he had taken advantage of Sophie and her innocence.

The couple constantly have sparks flying and they certainly share a very steamy romance (if you could call him romantic?) Sophie is ignored by David for the first few days of the marriage as he works and is left lonely. I really wanted to shake her and get her to stand up for herself but then when she does it doesn't really work out. It reminded me of when I first read 50 Shades and was torn between just enjoying the story and strangling Ana for not being stronger. However, I could excuse Sophie due to her upbringing.

What I did really enjoy is that we learn more about David and see glimpses of why he is the way he is. I described him as gorgeous, rich, successful, charming stranger with a secretive side. I could add hot in the bedroom, cold everywhere else.

Serena Grey can certainly write. Her story is descriptive and compelling and her characters are well thought out. David especially has the classic layers that are peeled away gradually and constantly leave you wanting to know more.

I'm looking forward to the next in the series. The teaser at the end has certainly grabbed me as you can see that more of David is going to be revealed.

"It's as if I've stepped off the edge of a cliff, and even though my heart's in my mouth and my stomach is in knots, I'm the most excited I've ever been in my life. I'm totally enthralled by him. I want him, every part of him, and I desperately want him to feel the same way about me."

Serena has done it again!

We learn so much more about David in this second installment of this series, and I can say I'm a little taken aback because I...ugh I want him to love Sophie so badddddd!!!! It seems that poor Sophie goes from ecstatically happy to on the verge of tears from one page to the next but it keeps me so enthused and turning the page to find out what happens next and how it'll be fixed or if it can even be fixed.

Sophie loves David but he's just so damn stone cold...his demeanor..is so difficult. I know deep down inside he has to feel SOMETHING for her. I just know it, I don't care what anyone else says...I'm sticking to it!! (lol) She is willing to show him just how much she loves him and she believes that by giving herself to him that this is the only way..but she's not sure of his feelings and intentions at all, and I believe that is what frightens her the most.

OMG. The teaser for the third and last installment in the series Claim. Has me super impatient for the book. I cannot, I repeat, cannot wait to get into David's brain. I need to know what all he's doing and if his intentions really are...in the end...backed by love.

To say that Sophie and David have a normal relationship is really not saying much they meet, get married and this all happens within a three day time span (This is not a spoiler as it happened in book one.) David likes to make a lot of hot promises and I have to say I'm really liking that, "I'm going to make love to you until your voice is hoarse from screaming my name." You know then there were times that David I thought was kind of an a** not even a damn honeymoon and the girl only asks a question just to get her head ripped off, "Sophie, maybe in you imagination being married means spending every single moment together, but real life isn't a fantasy, I have a business to run." Sophie has a temper on her and she's not afraid to use it, "didn't you make the beauty team, the personal shopper, every person I've spoken to in all the days you've kept my hidden in this apartment sign a document to prevent them for saying anything to anyone about me?" And of course we're left again with a cliffhanger, which leaves me wondering how many books will be in this series?

Just like the first, this was a very quick and thoroughly enjoyable read. I love the fact that with this series we get epic little by little. It builds the story and even with the small novel you get a ton of storyline.

This book was quite short but we got to know David and a little more. His reasons for the marriage, and his true feelings toward Sophie.

Life was bliss for a short period. Then, reality settled in. Sophie is slowly opening her eyes to what her life may turn out to be. But at the same time David is opening his eyes and seeing the fact that he needs to work to make his marriage work.

This book is a slightly super bumpy roller coaster, but its an interesting one. I am looking forward to reading the next installment.

This book was given to me by the author in return for an honest review. I need part 3 like yesterday!! We learned a bit more about what David and Sophie's relationship was about but not enough to cure my curiosity. I love this story. The sex is hot. David is a total alpha male and Sophie his innocent victim. Love this series!!

Received this book for an honest review.

David and Sophie pick up after the wedding and on the way to his/their home in Seattle. Sophie had doubts as would anyone that marries after knowing someone for roughly 24-48 hours. After arriving in Seattle David goes about his life as if he is still single with no thought or care as to what a "married" life with a partner should be like. He is distant and doesn't see the needs or wants that Sophie desires. Sophie is naïve and thinking that she found her Prince Charming and they will live Happily Ever After. Not the case. This is the real world. Real issues. More issues because you don't know the person you married.

After discovering that anyone that comes into contact with Sophie must sign a NDA, her insecurities begin to show. Why would David keep her a secret ? Why did he want to marry her ? All these questions and more begin to take root. When an unexpected encounter with David's mother occurs, David is furious and demands his mother leave. What Sophie didn't understand was his mother mentioning Carole. Sophie finds out that David and Carole has had a "relationship" that has spanned several years.

At a fund raiser, Carole confronts Sophie in the bathroom and her claws come out. Making Sophie even more insecure because she realizes what Carole was spitting at her are her same thoughts. When she tries to find David, she gets David and Carole lip locked. Sophie leaves in a cab and begins to pack and leave. When David gets home a confrontation takes place.

“Don’t mistake what we have” he says, his voice like cold water on my skin, “and don’t underestimate it either. What love. Did you fall in love with some stranger you hardly knew Sophie, just because he asked you out to dinner. Get real sweetheart, this has always been about sex.”

“I hope I never have to see you again. Carole was right about you, you use people, and when you’re done with them you toss them away like rubbish, you’re not worthy of my love.”

And so we wait for another book......

I would give this book 3.5 stars. I have a hard time relating to the characters in the story. Too much is still left unspoken to get to know the characters. David has a dark side but too what extent ? What was the purpose for the marriage ? Sophie needs to grow up and grow up fast. She bit off more than she can chew and needs to put her big girl panties and deal with life.

I also think there is too many editorial mistakes.

I will continue to read this series to see where the author goes from here and hopefully will be able to get to know the characters better.

I would like to give a HUGE thanks to Serena for sending me this book in the first place for review! She is soooooooooo awesome! I was so excited when she first approached me to review "Awakening" and she said she would make sure that I got the second also!

Soo much author love going on right now!

*****

This book will certainly enthral you.

It picks up straight where Awakening finished. Sophie is now married, she will go by the name of Mrs. Preston. Both her and David are on their way to Seattle to start their married life together.

In Awakening we didn't learn much about the elusive Mr. David Preston and to be fair we don't learn much more in this one apart from some facts about his mother and step-father.

There is some seriously HOT sex scenes, their like humping rabbits all the time :), which isn't a bad thing whatsoever.

David starts to distance himself a slight bit from Sophie and she starts to get suspicious, especially when she doesn't seem to leave their apartment. The only people she speaks to is her Housekeeper Mrs. Daniels and the stylist, clothes shopper assistants, where Sophie gleams a bit of info about David.

Sophie starts to get a tad bit paranoid, but to be fair if I was in her position I think I would too.

This book is full of lust, sex, deceit and unfaithfulness.

Things start to come to a head towards to the end, Sophie finally learns a little at to why Mr. Preston married her in the first place.....all I can say is "What an absolute Dick" even though he is one HOT sexy hunk.

This book like the first is a short steamy novella but sooooo worth the read. It enthrals you to keep reading, so as a short story you finish quickly and before you know it you are begging for more, well I know I am !!

Can't wait for the 3rd instalment "Claim", from the little teaser we got from the end of Rebellion this book will be shot from David's POV or at least tells us the story of how David became to be :) Maybe our questions will be answered!

What will happen when Sophie founds out the truth?

Will David let Sophie leave?

Why is Carole such a bitch? - Sorry serious question now, What game is Carole playing with David?

Can David hurt Sophie after everything?

Where does David's mother come into all of this?

Only time will tell........

I had the privilege to be given an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review. There were parts of the book that I enjoyed seeing her so happy and him treating her right but there are more times in the book that he does not treat her good. I did not like the whole NDA thing, and how he rarely wanted to spend time with her. I enjoyed there story when they were in Florence, it felt like they were getting closer. I have to say while reading this book my emotions surrounding the story were constantly changing but I was pretty frustrated with how the story had Sophie leaving David every five minutes only to have her mind changed because he touched her; it actually angered me that she was so weak. I overlooked this until after the charity event when she saw David not push Carole away when she kissed him, I was proud of her for leaving and going back to their home to pack until he came rushing home and all he had to do is touch her and she was on her knees pleasing him, I couldn't believe it. My heart was breaking for her when she saw them together and then again when he couldn't say he loved her but then she caves like nothing happened. He is constantly acting like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, one minute loving and caring, the next minute he is aloof. I figured he wouldn't be in love with her right away but I thought he had to care about her a lot and could share that with her and make her feel like there was hope for that love in the future but he didn't even seem like he thought it was a big deal that she saw Carole kiss him and he not pull away, how cold is that. Even though I don’t like David right now I am saddened by how the book ends. I don’t like how he speaks to her but I also don’t like what she chooses to do. I normally feel some kind of happiness when I finish a book but after reading this I feel sad and wish I could read the next one so I could learn what happens to them as a couple and lose the sadness I am feeling. I am not giving up on David and Sophie and I hope things get better quickly in the next book. I suggest others read this series because it is emotional but what romance isn't?

So I'm not going to give you a blow by blow of what this story is about you can read the jacket to get that. What I always want to know when I read a review is how did it make the reader feel? Were you able to connect with the characters? Were you invested enough to care if they made one decision over another or maybe you wanted to jump in the story line and kick someones ass for screwing with your favorite character? Did you remember the "feeling" and think about the characters after the story was over?

The answer to all those questions for me was YES, YES AND HOLY HELZ YES!

I have to start this by saying I have a love/hate relationship with Serena Grey now. Why you say???
I fell in love with her characters and writing style in Awakening and I was privileged enough to be given Rebellion as an ARC-hence the love.
Then I fall further in love with the characters...
- David and his mysterious self, gorgeous, strong, sometimes aloof but also a boyish charm
- Sophie innocent, yet brave, has brain (unlike some young female leads)
-Carole...bitch (but in that she's so bad you love her)
-David's mother...is she good? is she misunderstood? is she the key to David's mysteriousness?
....and it's over with a teaser for Claim!!!!!-hence the hate- ok so not REALLY hate....it's just so good I didn't want it to end. I felt like throwing myself to the floor and thrashing around like a 2 year old, "it's not fair, it's not fair".
The writing style is fluid, detailed enough that you get a sense of the scene without getting mired down in what I like to call descriptive overload. The story progresses quickly and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough.
Sexual tension, lust and HOT bedroom, wall, sofa, elevator scenes that will leave your skin wrinkly from too many cold showers.
Then there's Carol...grrrrr...I'll dare her be mean to my Sophie! That's like kicking a puppy and no one likes a puppy kicker!!!
Happy reading!

Wow, this was so much more than the first book. We got to know both Sophie & David better. With them now married, Sophie comes to realise that what she knows about him isn't much. You are going to have questions especially after only knowing someone for 3 days. Sophie starts to question things, but David distracts her with the love making.

David has married Sophie for reasons we are yet to find out all about. I think deep down David has fallen in love with Sophie, but he is yet to admit to this. Though Sophie has told him she loves him, he is fighting these feelings within.

We get a little sneak peak into David's past & history with his mother & ex lover. Poor Sophie shows her age at times, but I think she is wiser than they all think. At times she surprises me & I find myself cheering her. On their honeymoon we get a glimpse into how beautiful this romance can be, if only David would open his heart to Sophie, they have the chemistry.

David says some very hurtful things to Sophie, which I think he will regret more than he knows. I'm proud that Sophie has walked away, I think staying will not change any of his behaviour.

I hope she doesn't hurt too much while David has this time to think about what he has or has lost. He would be the worlds biggest fool to let Sophie go, finally when he could have someone to love him fully.

Looking forward to the next part. I loved the insight into what David was thinking when he first saw Sophie. This tells me he has feelings for her, more than he has admitted to himself.

5 stars!!

I am always skeptical of short story series since they tend to feel rushed. But with a Dangerous Man series by Serena Grey it's anything but. Book 1 Awakening was amazing but book 2 Rebellion is... Indescribable, I had so many emotions when reading it that I felt like I was on a constant roller coaster.

Sophie in book one seemed very meek and submissive towards David and I was worried because of her age that he would steam roll her. Which he tried to but sweet Sophie is proving to have quite the back bone! I hope she continues to grow in this series and starts to really challenge David.

David David David, mister what the HELL are you thinking? I hope you have to work your tight buns off in the next book and even get a piece of your own medicine :) but your still sexy as sin and shaping up to be one heck of a bad boy book boyfriend... Even if you kind of suck monkey balls at the moment.

Overall I smiled and cringed while reading this book and am anticipating the next... I absolutely love this series and the author... I hope book 3 answers some of the questions in book 2 like, did David really kiss the other woman? Why did he marry Sophie? And a few other loose ends. The teaser in the back of the book has me really excited because it seems to be told in David's POV which I feel will help us both understand and possibly fall into book boyfriend love with him.

This series is worth the read so go on out there and buy it!!! You won't be disappointed!

The book leaves us with more questions than answers. Sophie & David are now married & come back to his penthouse in Seattle. Sophie's expectations of spending time alone with David are naive - he is a billionaire & really very busy. But she does eventually get the billionaire's wife treatment - a personal shopper, hair, makeup, the works. But someone lets it slip that there is a NDA & no one is supposed to talk about Sophie which is confusing. Sophie knew going into this marriage that there was only one thing she knew about David - he was a beautiful man who she had amazing sex with. She seems surprised at the turn of events that lead her to believe that David is still in a relationship with another woman, that he might have cheated her out of some stocks, and David might be using her as well but we don't know yet what David's plans are for Sophie. Sophie seems surprised and you can really tell that she is only 18 years old - she knew David for one day before becoming his bride! It is apparently that both David & Sophie fell in deep over their physical connection but now they are at odds - young Sophie believes she loves David and David breaks her heart by saying they are just having an amazing time in the bedroom. He seems pretty cold & cruel to her & she vows to pack up her things & move back home and that is unfortunately where the book ends. We still don't know much about David other than his spontaneous decision to not let Sophie slip away from him which they both seem to be regretting right now!

This book was great!!! It begins right were the first one ended... It was a little bit longer than part one and I really liked that... In Rebellion we get to find out a little bit more about David and Sophie but don't expect to have all the answers to your questions because you won't have any! You will actually have more by the end of the book. The mystery about David continues, he is pretty harsh and cold sometimes, and then he is kind of cute. He is definitely hiding something and Sophie knows it. I actually wanted to shake her and put some sense into her head. She is in denial mode, she knows there is something wrong and that David is not being completely honest but she just push it away and lose herself in David's arms. I don't like weak heroines but towards the end she kind of make a stand for herself, and I like that, she needs to grow a backbone.

We are also introduced to some new characters. We learn about another woman in David's life and I just hate her :) she is mean and she is up to no good.

I really liked Rebellion, it will keep you interested until the end and wanting more. I can't wait for next part. If you like love stories with a lot of passion and mystery this series is for you. But if you don't like cliffhangers I would recommend to wait and then read the whole series, though the one in Rebellion is not that bad ;) Anyway, Serena, please, hurry, write faster!!! :)

Awakening and Rebellion are books 1 and 2 in the Dangerous Man series by Serena Grey. This is a gripping and interesting series that had me intrigued one minute and confused the next. I was offered ARCs of these novellas in exchange for an honest review.

The whirlwind relationship that is Sophie and David is both riveting and perplexing. David’s strong alpha male persona is mysterious and sexy, and a sharp contrast to Sophie’s introverted nature. However, literally from the moment their eyes meet, the chemistry between these two characters is palpable. The trajectory of their involvement was one part fantasy and another part improbable, which, I suppose, is what kept me turning pages. I couldn’t decide whether Sophie’s innocence made her naïve, or David’s allure simply made him too irresistible.

The conclusion of Awakening left me perplexed and baffled. Fortunately, Rebellion picks up right where Awakening leaves off. Unfortunately, I was no less confounded as events unfolded in Book 2. Just when I thought it was safe for Sophie to trust her instincts, new information is brought to light that had her (and me) thinking, WTF? Finally, Sophie and I are on the same page, and then… what…? That was the last page?! Now I’m left hanging and waiting impatiently for Claim, Book 3 in the Dangerous Man series. Well played, Ms. Grey. Well played.

Four cliff-hanging stars!

Sophie heads with her new husband - David - to his home is Seattle. It’s hard for her to believe she married a man she just met a few days ago. Yet - she already finds herself in love with him. At David’s apartment - Sophie discovers that her husband keeps himself very busy. So busy that they do not have a honeymoon….David goes right back to work. Sophie is alone most of the day…waiting for David to come home.

When she expresses her displeasure - David brings in people to supply his beautiful with a new wardrobe. This is were she learns than everyone that interacts with her had to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement in regards to knowing Sophie. Her mind gets the best of her. Is David ashamed of his marriage?

To make matters worse - Sophie keeps hearing about Carole Banks. Who is she and what is the extent of her relationship with David? Every time Sophie tries to have a serious talk with David - they end up back in the bedroom. What is in store for the newlyweds? Can they learn to love each other despite knowing nothing about the other?

Rebellion picks up right where Awakening ends. Serena Grey has once again teased us with her short stories. Shame, shame Serena Grey for only giving us a ’taste’ of what’s to come. I will be waiting for the next installment. Can you make it pretty quick??

Thanks to Serena Grey for providing me with an ARC for my honest review.

I have received an ARC from the lovely author of this book in exchange for an honest opinion, so here it is..

I'm thinking 2 and 1/2 stars..

I think serving this beautiful story in small portions is ruining the good effect it has on its reader..

I mean, it keeps you wanting more and doesn't give you that much in the story except to admire the hotness that is David Preston and his prowess!

It still has the feel of a "chapter" instead of even a novella.. and even though I'm a HUGE fan of mysteries, this actually doesn't quench your thirst for knowledge about what's going on 'cause it keeps you guessing with no answers at the end!!

You want to dive into it, but unfortunately it's over before it's even begun and as I said before, it only leaves you with more questions. Even where there is a chance for much drama, big reactions, major rip roaring scenes... almost nothing happens, they just go on and 'get into business' (not that anyone is complaining about those, but still).

I wish the next installment is really long because the writing is really good and keeps you reading!

I hope I get the chance to read more of this story, because I'm actually intrigued to know where it's leading..

Wishing the lovely author all the best :)

First of all I have to say I loved the way but two picked up right where book one left off. First I have to say Sophie and David have an extremely complicated relationship sometimes you just don't know where he's coming from with the things he says and does is it just about sex or could he possibly care about her, I really can't wait to find more out about his character he's very mysterious and sometimes almost dark I like to think that somewhat he does care about Sophie he just doesn't know how to show her or how to express himself. I can't wait to see where this Carole Banks character plays in all this she comes out being a total bitch from the first meeting her and Sophie have I think she has a hidden agenda and I think more will come out about Carole in book 3 well I hope anyways.
Sometimes get the feeling that Sophie is just really young and naïve and she just wants to be loved, but is David the right person for her. If you haven't read awakening or rebellion I suggest you do I recommend these books they are awesome and I cannot wait for the third one to come out...

Obviously this is the second book in the series, hence the #2 in the title. If you haven't read the first, Awakening (A Dangerous Man, #1), you need to, this is NOT a stand alone book.

I'd probably give this book 4 1/2 stars, because I just can't seem to get past one burning question... Why did they have to get married? It's just driving me nuts. Which is why I will continue reading this addicting series. I need to know more to piece it all together. There's something up with David, I know there is, but I can't put my finger on it yet.

You can tell that Sophie is starting to realize that things aren't what she expected when she married David (well, duh, she married him after only knowing him a couple days, what did she expect?). Carole's name keeps coming up, but Sophie doesn't know who she is or how she fits into David's life.

This seems to be part of a serial, so there should be more books to come...at least there better be :) According to her facebook page, Claim is the title of the third one.

I read a Serena Grey update on Goodreads last night, where she indicated that she hit the "publish" button. That caused me to check Amazon compulsively, hoping the book would appear and I would not have to wait until today. Lo and behold, my compulsive checking paid off and there it was and of course, I immediately started to read it.

I loved it!! There are moments when I think David is cold and aloof but they melt away when he looks at Sophie or touches her or speaks of his desire for her. I love that he splintered her thinking that she was being kept hidden and was whisked away for a honeymoon. I do like that Sophie speaks up for herself, but she is only 18 and not wordly at all, but her backbone is becoming more apparent.

Still, they are hot, together. My only dislike is that this installment was TOOOO short, left me wanting much more and now, as I was last night, waiting, AGAIN until the next part comes out.

Great second part, definitely did not disappoint!!!

The story of Sophie and David continues in the second installment of A Dangerous Man. Sophie had been swept up in David's lavish lifestyle in a matter of days. She feels out of place and is beginning to question David's motives for marrying her. Sophie is quite naive and gets caught up in all that is David Preston. David thrives on control and doesn't give Sophie the answers she seeks. For me Sophie needed to speak up more, demand answers from David as its obvious he's hiding things. David kept taking advantage of Sophie's desire. I wanted more out of the characters- to know more about David's motives and his feelings for Sophie; I wanted Sophie to put David in his place and not let him decide what's best for them. I believe the story needs to be longer to get a better feel for the characters and their situations. Overall. I liked the story and would like to know what is in store for Sophie and David.

Arc provided by the author for an honest review.

Maybe it was because Awakening was so short, but this one was much better. I'm anxious to see where it goes from here. We now have a little more insight into why David married Sophie, but I get the impression there's much more to the story than David is letting out. He's scared of not being loved and being left, therefore he does the not loving and leaving first. It's a defense mechanism.

And Sophie is so young. She's lived a life without love but is craving it unlike David doing everything to not feel it. She just wants him to talk to her, but feels used at every turn. It seems that everything he does is calculated. What else can she do to protect herself?

Oh... and Carole is a B**ch!

I'm really looking forward to seeing where this story goes in the next installment in Claim .
