In the tradition of Janet Evanovich and Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Juliet Rosetti ups the ante in her laugh-out-loud funny Escape Diaries series, as Mazie Maguire must use any means necessary to keep her main squeeze out of the slammer.

Once you escape from prison and ride off into the sunset with the gorgeous guy who helped you nail a killer, you live happily ever after, right? Well, not exactly—not if you’re Mazie Maguire, and the flow chart of your life looks like a pinball machine. Mazie has broken up with her guy, Ben Labeck, she can’t pay her rent, her car is infested with mice, and she’s working at a coffee shop where the dress code is teddies, thongs, and toe-cleavage heels. Now Ben is the chief suspect in a murder investigation, and Mazie’s tapping into her fugitive wiles to keep him out of jail. Strictly as friends, she vows. No kissing, no touching, no romance. But how is Mazie supposed to keep her thoughts platonic when her “buddy” is giving her erotic back rubs, and a make-believe-we’re-newlyweds charade puts her in the mood for a wedding night?

I really loved this! It was just what I needed. There were quite a few laugh out loud moments in here. There's been a recent trend in the mystery with a dash of romance genre that have ladies as the lead where they try to be funny and it has fallen flat for me. Either they come off stupid or it seems like they try to hard. Mazie didn't do that. She wasn't snarky to the point of making me not like her and she wasn't so dingy that she was stupid. In fact, she kind of reminded me of me...minus the going to prison for killing her husband part.

Even though this is book 2 in the series, I don't feel like I missed anything by not having read the first one. AND, I enjoyed this enough that I'll go back and read the first one, and I'll be looking for the next one when it comes out :)

3.5 stars - I really enjoyed this book. The mystery and suspense was good but it felt it really was lacking in the romance department. I need more Ben and Maize. I'm really enjoying this series and looking forward to reading more!

Mazie and Ben... Gaaah these two are cracking me up!

This book takes place 7 weeks after Mazie's big prison escape and 6 weeks after she and Ben's brake-up. Yeah, they had 5 passionate day and broke up. Now she's works as a mystery shopper for a company. But her boss Rhonda (the Cougar) fire her because of her report and Mazie sees her with Ben -kissing- the same day. Yeah!

Anyway, same night Ben finds Rhonda dead and apparently he's the last person who saw her alive too, he becomes the main suspect of the murder. With this, Ben and Mazie once again trying to escape from the police. This time they have a Lieutenant behind their backs!

I loved the secondary characters in this book. Juju, Magenta, Dr. Dreamboat, Lieutenant Vincent Trumbull (okay I hated him a little) and of course Muffin! I like the way they involved with the story. The "real" murderer was easy to spot on but still I like the way the things turned out. Once again there was no unanswered questions at the end. So why I did gave it 3 stars? I really don't know.
Maybe I shouldn't read these books consecutively, I'm not sure about that but I know this book didn't grab me like The Escape Diaries. But I really enjoyed reading both Mrs. Rosetti's books. They're well written and I love the characters she creates. She's a great story teller and I know I will read everything she writes.

I received an e-galley from the publisher.

I see this book as more fun Chick-lit than mystery/suspense. There is no real mystery here, I guess (correctly) who the real murderer is from the get go. But it doesn't mean that this book not worth-reading. Because if you're looking something quick, not so serious, and hilarious, then Crazy For You definetely a MUST-READ.

I adore Mazzie. How often you read about a romance heroine who is an ex-convict (well she was wrongly convicted, but still...) and now a lingerie model/barista (okay so she work in lingerie cafe). The other cast are equally hilarious. There are Mazzie on and off Boyfriend Ben AKA Bonaparte (seriously! That's his name) Labeck, Juju the lingerie cafe manager, and Magenta, well you just have to read it. This This book sure could make you laugh. I highly reccomend it :)

Crazy for You by Juliet Rosetti is a December 2013 LoveSwept publication. I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

It is with a heavy heart that must inform you that Ben and Mazie have not survived as a couple. After Ben is offered a job which would require moving, he and Mazie argue. Ben wants her to allow him to support her and Mazie needs to feel independent after being in prison. But, Maize's days as a school teacher are over and she is so desperate for a job she hires on as "secret shopper". Her boss, Rhonda is a real piece of work.

"Rhonda Cromwell was the kind of woman that gives cougars a bad name. She broke up marriages, seduced door to door missionaries, and sunbathed nude in her front yard, causing neighborhood guys to run their lawn mowers up trees , mothers to lock their teenage sons in their rooms, and the camping goods store to stock more binoculars."

When Rhonda is murdered, the suspects start stacking up, including Mazie and Ben. Maize had just been fired by Rhonda and Ben had been the last to see her before she was found dead.
Even though Ben and Mazie are broken up, Mazie does her best to keep Ben hidden from the police while they try to find the real killer.

Mazie finds a job in a coffee shop where the female servers are scantily clad, she investigated Rhonda's neighbors, spies on people, get involved in one of the most hilarious paint ball games, all while keeping Ben and herself out of jail without breaking any laws.

Each chapter begins with "Maguire's Maxims", laugh out loud funny quotes from Mazie..
One of my favorites was: "Never tell a man more than he needs to know. The male brain was not designed for details and can easily overload it's circuits."

I didn't think it was possible for this book to be as funny as "The Escape Diaries". It was actually funnier. Juliet Rosetti is a fresh voice in contemporary romance and I am quickly becoming one her biggest fans.
This one gets an A+

3.5 Funny and Easygoing Stars.

Crazy For You is the enjoyable follow-up to The Escape Diaries. One thing I like about this series is that it is a little different to your normal romantic fiction. The situations and characters are just a little bit too the extreme, sort of a National Lampoon of Romance is you know what I mean.

So we join Mazie post split up from Ben, struggling to pay her bills, and working a job that’s not on the up and up to say the least. The humor, situations (more murder) and characters are just as extreme as they were in The Escape Diaries, with plenty of laughs and witty observations that have become synonymous with the Mazie that we have grown to love.

Crazy For You is another enjoyable, and easy to read installment in the Life and Love on the Lam Series. I am looking forward to reading more from the imagination of Juliet Rosetti in the future.

#2 in the Life and Love on the Lam romance series

This series is so great! Mazie is a super fun main character--smart, funny, and always getting herself into trouble through no fault of her own. She and Ben (Bonaparte) Labeck, the TV cameraman, have been broken up for a few weeks, but now he's back and in need of her help. When Mazie's boss is found dead right after Mazie has been at her house, Mazie (as an ex-con) becomes a suspect along with Labeck who was also involved. They become targets from both the cops and the bad guys and have to go on the run. I had several laugh-out-loud moments as a result of the witty banter between them. And I'm in love with the clever and hilarious turns of phrases that Rosetti uses (klutz-stumbled, overdosed on cotton-candy tones). Mazie has a beat-up car she calls Pig because "its engine makes odd grunting noises, as though a pig is curled around the carburetor." Mazie is very appealing, finding supporters wherever she goes, such as at her job at Hottie Latte, serving coffees while wearing suggestive lingerie, thinking "For four hundred bucks a day, could I put up with a frostbitten fanny?"

I’m really enjoying the writing and actually enjoying this sequel even more than the first book. Her descriptive writing is wonderful. Is it just a bit of dialogue her monologue she tells us what we need to know without it feeling like she’s telling us. Her characters are wonderfully drawn and her sense of humor is laugh out loud.
Her only flaws were 2 obvious ploys to move the plot forward. She has Maisie be a total idiot again for no good reason. Then she uses the “my purse is a dark hole” to avoid finding her cellphone. when you’re your life is in danger (and the man you’ve sworn to save) you’re going to dump everything out of it to find the cell phone so you can call the cops. I would say the plot was more obvious in this one but her writing is so good and her character so fun that I didn’t mind too much.

When I first saw the synopsis for this and it said that it was similar to Janet Evanovich's writing, I in no way believed it. After reading, though the writing styles weren't exactly the same, they were uncannily similar, as were the plots. However, this story focused more on the romance while Janet splits both the romance and plot pretty evenly, at least, she does in her One for the Money series. This novel is actually the second in a series, though it isn't specified on Goodreads. I knew I had to read this book, and though I tried to wait for the first book to get to me before reading this one, I failed and ended up finishing this the same night I started it. Luckily, Crazy for You can act as a stand-alone since everything the reader needs to know to read and enjoy this book is contained within.

The romance is what mainly made up the story since the beginning, but even then, it's hard to specify whether the love or the mystery was more abundant. The novel stays away from details and while I was reading, it was just a whirlwind of events that I probably won't remember in a few days. Though the mystery is reminiscent of Janet again, what caught and kept my attention was the romantic tension between Ben and Mazie. Ben was a purely original creation of Juliet's that for once, didn't have me thinking of Evanovich. He was strong and kind and really wanted to take care of and protect Mazie, something she hated. The romanticness (I know...not a word) was only amped up by the fact that Mazie hadn't seen Ben in about 6 weeks, and that was after a huge fight. Mazie, on the other hand, was a slightly more boring version of Stephanie from, you guessed it, One for the Money. She worked in a restaurant where the waitresses dressed up in corsets, super short skirts, and fuck-me pumps. Anyone thinking of Lula from OftM? And then there's the fact that Mazie's ex-boss was a sex-o-holic, kind of like Vinnie from...well, you know. But besides all those similarities, Mazie was a cute character who had some of her own independent aspects - like playing paintball - that I really liked.

Though the mystery was a unique one, once I learned the basic aspects of the mystery and got to know the main suspects, it was easy to guess (correctly!) who the "bad guy" was. That didn't take away from the appeal of the book though, and it only made me more interested to see how villain would reveal himself to the girl who trusted and was enamored with him. I didn't really get what Mazie saw in the guy, but I guess she was a bit crazy in the head. It was kind of obvious he'd be the type of guy to put people's heads in a refrigerator, not that he did that; he just had that psycho killer vibe to him that for some reason, the main character never picked up on until the end.

The prologue goes along with the very end of the story, and I think that at least one of its purposes was to give the reader a hint of the revelation at the end of the novel. Unfortunately, I completely forgot about my suspicions that Ben was younger than Mazie, and was none too pleased at the fact that I was right, even if the age difference was only by a few months. That was the most disappointing part of the story for me, and if that doesn't matter to you, then there's not much else wrong with this book.

I'd recommend Crazy for You to Janet Evanovich fans as well as any romance/mystery-lover looking for a quick, pleasing read. When looking back, the novel wasn't great, but neither was it even remotely bad. I can still remember how happy I felt while reading the book. Going off on a tangent, I want to mention the feeling I have that this would be a great book to read during the holidays. I don't know why, it may not even be true, but that's just a hunch I have. Who knows, maybe I'm psychic.

The benefits of reading Crazy for You:

The newest heroine for all of the wrongfully accused and, in fact, anyone fed-up with life’s injustices against the innocent is (drumroll) Mazie Maguire.

In book one of the Life and Love on the Lam series, Mazie managed to exonerate herself from wrongful imprisonment with the help of TV cameraman Bonaparte (Ben) Labeck. This time she is helping him after he is named the primary suspect in the murder of her egomaniacal, bitch of a boss. Mazie goes into ‘uncover the truth no matter what’ mode and starts hunting for the real killer. Using all the skills she learned while in the ‘slammer’ and with the help of a cast of characters that include two teenage Mazie-fans, an ankle-biting ball of fur, the beloved cross-dressing Magenta, a barely running car named Pig, and a thong-wearing barista, Mazie sets out to prove that Ben Labeck is innocent by finding the real killer.

The author, Juliet Rosetti, begins each chapter with a Maguire’s Maxim. One of my favorites is, “Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly.” I love the quirky, sometimes hilarious, thoughts and viewpoints of the main character. I can’t wait for the next volume in the life of my newest heroine and have made a note on my calendar of the release day (April 29, 2014), when Mazie takes Ben home to meet the family.

This reviewer feels that Mazie should write a book entitled, “How to Deal With Life’s Little Crises Using Wit, Wisdom, and Duct Tape.” I also think that it would be a great benefit to all falsely accused people if Mazie and Ben formed an investigative firm. Mazie could brainstorm ideas, come up with possible scenarios, and interview acquaintances of suspects. Ben could set up surveillance cameras, photograph suspects, and intimidate them when necessary. Together they could work toward providing hope for all the falsely accused. Hopefully, the author will read this review and use these ideas in a future volume of Mazie’s adventures.

The benefit of reading Crazy for You: Life and Love on the Lam is hours of witty Mazie-isms, learning what to do if we are ever falsely accused of a crime, and just plain reading fun. Loved books one and two and hope there are many more to come. My only criticism is the occasional misuse of lie and lay and a few other grammatical mistakes. I found myself rolling my eyes just like Mazie does when Ben says something she disagrees with. 4 and ½ stars.

Mazie Maguire, recently out of prison now that her conviction has been overturned, may have her freedom, but she doesn't have much else.  Her happily ever after with the handsome Ben lasted all of five days, and she is left with little more than a tiny apartment, a crappy job, and a car she calls Pig.  But of course, this is Mazie we're talking about, which means that no matter how bad things get, they'll never be boring!

Before she knows it, she's traded in her mystery-shopper job for slinging lattes while parading around in scanty lingerie, and when her mean old cougar of an ex-boss turns up dead, it's Mazie's ex Ben who's the prime suspect.  Our favorite characters from the first book, including the fabulous Magenta, are on hand as Mazie sets out to prove Ben's innocence and survive lots of mayhem in the process.

In my reading experience, when a book ends with a love match, it's not that easy to create a great sequel -- unless maybe the focus is a different pair than the first book featured.  Too often, the sequel only serves to mess up the happily ever after by throwing a bunch of contrived drama at the couple, but Crazy for You manages to avoid that mistake in the best way.  It begins not long after the end of The Escape Diaries, with Mazie and Ben already separated, though neither really understands where they went wrong.  The situation is so utterly believable that it's a perfect start to the story, turning Crazy for You into an adventure-filled journey to reconnect these crazy lovebirds without ruining what we loved about them in the first place.

I fell madly in love with the first book in the series, and while it remains my favorite, this one came in a very close second.  From the bumbling cops to the loyal patrons at Hottie Latte to Mazie's MacGyver-esque use of Stayfree maxi pads, Crazy for You is a ridiculously fun read.  Rosetti's delivery of adventure and comedy -- with just a dash of romance -- is once again brilliant.  I was actually supposed to review this book as part of a blog tour, but technology conspired against me, so I wasn't able to get the ebook on schedule.  I guess it just goes to show how much I love this series that I broke down and bought it myself!

From time to time I'm gifted with or directed to something "I had better read", so I do and am usually rewarded. That's how I was introduced to Tony Hillerman and the Navaho Tribal Police series. The Mazie Maguire mysteries by Juliet Rosetti is in that category too; the original hook for me was that the stories took place in Wisconsin.
I survived childhood in a farming community near Green Bay. A cousin owned a bar in Sheboygan. Going to Milwaukee was a big event. On holidays while travelling to relatives, I drove past Taycheeda Prison in Fon du Lac a hundred times. That's where the heroine, Mazie Maguire, is serving time after being framed and convicted for murder. In the series opening, she's sprung by a passing tornado and tours the scenic kettle moraine country while making her way to Milwaukee. Evading capture by multiple law enforcement agencies Mazie becomes a folk hero and is offered help along the way, in particular critical evidence of her innocence by a TV cameraman, Ben. This turns into a partnership of sorts, and also into a romance that twists through the series. The first book runs around the state's eastern countryside and Milwaukee; later books include a 'Sconnie Generic Park with Lake, and a farm town. My favorite story is that book, set in coulee country in the unglaciated southwestern part of Wisconsin; coulees are narrow, deep, and mostly wooded valleys that wind for miles, which makes for a very creepy background in a twenty year old unsolved disappearance and probable murder, and for an attempted reenactment starring Mazie.
All the books are action mysteries, where the heroine not only has to solve the main problem but must avoid being murdered herself. The chapters are short and intense. There are chase scenes with unusual and memorable escapes. There are actual villains, and generally a great cast of well-made characters, some of whom one wishes to drown, others to nominate for a Nobel. There's also a cute, smart dog.
I came for the scenery but stayed for the entertainment.

Definitely a fun read, as Mazie is put once again, into the middle of murder and mayhem, all while trying desperately to be a law-abiding ex-con! Apparently Mazie is a magnet for trouble and this time she has to help clear her ex-boyfriend, Ben, who is under suspicion for the murder of Rhonda, Mazie’s nasty ex-boss. Can she do that and still keep a romantic distance from Ben? Can she keep them both out of jail AND find the real murderer?

Juliet Rossi’s Crazy for You brings us another chapter in the crazy life that Mazie lives. Filled with humor, great quips and quirky characters! Flying by at warp speed, once again murder has never been so entertaining, unlikely situations so believable and a heroine so likable. Mazie is smart, resourceful and trying so hard to be independent, but life keeps kicking her in the chops, fortunately Ms. Rossi finds a way to pick her up and dust her off again, humor and wit intact. Ben oozes charm and can be a little overbearing, but he just might be Mazie’s Achilles heel. Another hit for both Mazie and Juliet Rosetti!

I didn't read the first book in this series, The Escape Diaries, before picking this one up on NetGalley. That meant I spent the first several chapters of this book playing catch-up, trying to pick up from context all the stuff I would have known if I'd been more prepared. I managed, though, and though it took a little while, I appreciate that Ms. Rosetti didn't just give all that background information in one huge, boring info-dump, but spread it out over the course of the first few chapters in a way that segued naturally into the plot.

I used to read a lot of mysteries, but I've lost my taste for them since becoming a criminal prosecutor. Initially, I didn't think I'd like this one much: there is very little realism, the police procedure is wrong and usually unconstitutional, the officer in charge of investigating the case is a buffoon, and I was pretty sure I knew who the killer was before the crime was even committed (and I turned out to be right). So, as a mystery, this book really didn't work for me.

But then again, mysteries rarely work for me any more, and setting aside that (admittedly fairly major) part of the plot, I still found Crazy for You pretty entertaining. I have a soft-spot for blue collar heroines, and Mazie is a good one: she's funny, pragmatic, warm and good with people, but also flawed -- she's paranoid and suspicious, and yet her desire to see the best in people sometimes makes her put her trust where she shouldn't. She's a far cry from too stupid to live, but she's not an intellectual Mary Sue, either.

I had less of a sense of the hero, Ben. Maybe if I'd read the first book I'd feel like I knew him better, but he felt sort of undeveloped to me. Neither good nor bad, just there: any cute, reasonably fit, mouthy guy could have played the part.

But I liked Mazie a lot, and the plot was well-paced, fast-moving, and entertaining. Fans of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series will probably get a kick out of Mazie Maguire, too.

Note: I received a free copy of this book for my honest feedback. I was not paid to write this review.

Crazy for You by Juliet Rosetti is a fun, cozy read with romance, mystery, and a female heroine that doesn’t quite know what she’s doing. It’s the second in the series but can be read as a stand alone. It does, however, give away some spoilers for the first book if you’ve never read it, in particular about the romance between Mazie and Ben.

In this book Mazie is helping her ex-boyfriend, Ben, stay out of jail. The chemistry between the two is obvious, and the way they broke up made me wonder if they were actually broken up. There were many things left unsaid by both parties. Their childish bickering was a bit annoying. If they just discussed their issues, they’d be perfectly fine. Regardless, somehow the two of them work.

The mystery of the dead cougar is a bit far fetched. Placing Ben as the primary suspect and targeting Mazie suggested potential police corruption. There seriously was a lack of motive for Ben to kill her, and the others with greater motive had alibis that really aren’t that solid. Plus they failed to do a good enough evidence collection if there was still evidence to be stolen. (Obviously this annoyed me big time since I’m studying forensics.) The real perpetrator was pretty obvious, but the whole story behind the murder was something I would have never completely guessed. Mazie, though, did some not so smart things during her sleuthing. It was expected, but at the same time, that last thing she did was beyond idiotic in my opinion. Seriously, ever heard the saying “trust no one”?

Overall, I enjoyed reading Crazy for You by Juliet Rosetti and would give it 4 stars. I’ll definitely be reading the sequel. The characters were a bit immature and the mystery was a bit far fetched, but it was a nice fun read all around.

This was a cute and funny read. Mazie was quite the character and I loved her antics while she attempted to help solve a murder mystery. She had great chemistry with Ben and I can’t wait to read future books about the duo.

Crazy for You is the second book in the Life and Love on the Lam series. Although I hadn’t read the first book, it was easy to get into the plot. A brief overview of the last book is given, but I didn’t feel like it was done as an info dump. I liked Mazie’s sense of humor right off of the bat and like the blurb suggests the book is reminiscent of the Stephanie Plum series.

Mazie and Ben were hysterical once they came together to solve the murder. There chemistry was sweet and steamy. It definitely makes me curious to see how they got together in the first novel. Along with Mazie and Ben, I enjoyed the secondary characters and loved how their quirks added a lot of flair to the plot.

The pacing was excellent and I never grew bored of the plot. There were a lot of editing issues, but since I did have an ARC I’ll assume the copy was cleaned up before publication. There was a little bit of predictability when it came to the plot, but it was the perfect book for me to just turn my brain off for the night and enjoy the ride. Readers of romantic suspense who enjoy unique protagonists will love this series.

Crazy For You by Juliete Rosetti

Sassy yet charming in this fun filled romance of hi-jinks and mystery!

Juliete Rosetti does a fine job creating more adventure in her sequel to The Escape Diaries. Mazie recently out of prison ends up as a barista of sorts at a lingerie coffee shop and has to solve her ex-bosses murder in order to clear her name. Lots of fun ensues as she gathers clues and evidence. In the process her on again/off again boyfriend is also implicated in the murder. Mazie goes double time in order to clear his name as well.

This was a light read, with laughter abound. I’m seriously impressed by the car that oinks, such description was truly hilarious. Mazie has just the right amount of sass and fortitude to not be a victim. In fact she comes to the rescue of her hero rather than stereotype.

The list of supporting characters add even more humor with the drag queen (have to love the ladies night out strip club scene) and the teenage hood-twin (i.e. bobsy-twin) paintball enthusiasts. This story is filled with controversy, especially the church league that pickets outside the coffee shop and the plastic surgery team that preys on age-conscious insecurities.

Overall, there were many themes presented that showcased how ridiculous they can be in our society, but each were handled with the added finesse of humor making them invisible between the story lines.

Ok, so this is a first for me from this author. I didn't know this was a series. Nothing in the title tells you that. So as you begin reading, if you're someone like me who's never read by this author, you have no clue what's going on. Sure the author gives you a bare bones run down on what's happening. But it's not much. I would have loved a little bit deeper run through on what exactly happened in the book before this one. The author has to take into account readers like me who may just be picking up a book in the middle of a series. I did like reading this story. It's just small things bothering me. I'm not sure if I really like Ben or not. I did get annoyed with the "french" lapses. Ok, thanks, now I know the author can speak french. What does it have to do with the story? Nothing really.

Then, the fact that this feels like a cheap rip off of the Stephanie Plum series. I know it was marketed that way, to hit a target audience. This isn't a bad book, it just didn't blow me away. The Plum series happens to be a favorite of mine, and I was sort of let down with this book. Mazie's character actually started to annoy me at times. The book isn't horrible. It was fun, witty, engaging. To a point. I enjoyed Magenta and the dialogue. There was a lot that was transparent and predictible. I feel that with a little more depth, this could have been a better book.

What a caper! I didn't read number one in this series, but I didn't have to in order to laugh out loud and appreciate Mazie Maguire's ex-con predicaments. Mazie gets herself into lots of trouble by accidentally getting mixed up in a murder investigation. And not unlike Stephanie Plum, she has a handsome hero to help her out of the tough spots.

What makes this novel especially good is that Mazie doesn't actually need a hero to rescue her, he just happens to make things a little more interesting. She appreciates Ben's affections and his willingness to walk beside her as she weaves her way through new jobs, bad guys, and insecurities about her looks. She also appreciates Ben's good looks!

Sometimes cozy mysteries or caper-ridden novels depend on the dumbness of the characters. Not here. I like that Mazie and Ben are smart. The trouble that meets them doesn't result from any mistakes or idiocy on their part.... And they intelligently put their heads together to keep each other safe.

I laughed hilariously throughout this book, loved the romantic element, and will be on the lookout for book 3. Juliet Rosetti, you're a find!

Rosetti’s book Crazy for You tells the outrageous tale of Mazie Maguire. Mazie is an ex-con working at a coffee shop where the dress code is sexy lingerie in order to pay her bills. Her ex-boyfriend, Ben Labeck, is a chief suspect in a murder and Mazie goes on a wild adventure to clear his name. Let the laughing begin.

This novel is laugh out loud funny – not dissimilar to the likes of Janet Evanovich. I don’t think I’ve liked a main character as much as Mazie in a long time. I completely sympathized with her crazy antics and misfortunes. And Ben as a leading man wasn’t too shabby either. I can’t wait to read what it’s in store for Mazie next.

Unfortunately, I can’t give this book 5 stars due to editing issues. There were formatting problems with reading the book on the kindle. The letter size continuously changed. Also, there were a lot of spelling and grammatical errors. If these problems are resolved, the book is definitely 5 star worthy.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a laugh out loud romantic comedy. Cheese heads will love it!

This is the 2nd book in a series, but read well on its own. I'd like to go back and read the first book, but I didn't feel like I missed too much by reading them out of order. This book follows Mazie, who has just gotten cleared of charges for murdering her husband (she was innocent) and immediately finds herself in the middle of another murder mystery. Enter the extremely sexy Ben, who helped to clear her name in the first book. At first I wasn't sure what to expect from this story, and what I found was an extremely amusing and entertaining story, with a side of romance. This book reminded me a lot of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. The story takes place in exotic Milwaukee, insert joke here, and Mazie and Ben need to solve a crime that he is being accused of, before the police get him. I enjoyed the author's style and I am excited to learn there should be more stories in this series. It definitely has promise and I look forward to reading more of Mazie's adventures. This book is definitely worth checking out.

Crazy for You is book #2 in the Life and Love on the Lam series by Juliet Rosetti: If you read The Escape Diaries you may have been cheering for Mazie to escape and find the real killer of her husband and for the love of Ben and Mazie.

Crazy-for-You-by-Juliet-RosettiUnfortunately, when Ben is offered a job that would require them to move, Mazie and Ben have a terrible argument that ends their relationship. Especially since Ben wants to support Mazie, but after her time in prison Mazie wants to feel more independent. But because of her time in prison her days as a school teacher are over. Now she works as a “secret shopper”, but her job will not be as easy as it sounds.

Rhonda, her boss, gives cougars a bad name and that is saying it nicely. She likes to break up marriages, seduce any man that will allow it, and sunbathes nude in her front yard. The bad thing here is that when Rhonda turns up murdered, the suspects are many and Mazie and Ben have become suspects as well, since Rhonda had just fired Mazie and Ben was the last person to see her alive. I received this book thanks to Netgalley and the publisher and I thank them for that. I had not read the first book in this series and the publisher graciously sent me that book so that I could read it first to get a sense of where Crazy for You was going. Mazie was falsely accused of murder in the first book and in that one we saw her hi jinks to prove herself innocent.

In Crazy for You she is out of prison but has to help her boyfriend prove that he did not commit a murder either. This was part silly, part fun, a little romance (but not nearly enough) and a murder mystery. The story dragged for me at times, but overall I have enjoyed the situations that Mazie finds herself in and was interested enough to continue reading. The promo suggests that this is similar to a Janet Evonovich book and, I could see how it would be portrayed as such, but don't think the writing was quite as strong.

I received an ARC of Crazy For You from NetGalley and have just finished it. I hadn't heard of Juliet Rosetti before so didn't know what to expect. What I got was a fast, funny and sassy book which I enjoyed reading. This isn't a deep and meaningful book. It's light, escapist, "you wouldn't believe this could happen to a person" fun. Mazie is just out of prison having been acquitted of the murder of her husband. Despite being innocent, she has struggled to get a job and starts the book working as a mystery shopper. Her boss is a bitch, "She looked like the kid who'd grabbed all the presents under the Christmas tree but still wanted to take away the empty stocking you held in your hand". Ben is a hunkie TV cameraman and Mazie's former boyfriend. When Rhonda ends up dead he becomes the prime suspect and it's up to Mazie to save the day. I am not going to try and retell the story. Suffice yo say if you're looking for some light reading, this book might just hit the spot.

I enjoyed this book. I didn't read the 1st book in this series and don’t think it would've added to this one. Several references & details are given in this book as background to what happened in the previous book.
I found myself laughing at some of the crazy hi-jinks that go on in this book. It’s a good fast paced story with some mystery & romance. The main character, Mazie Maguire, is great at getting herself into and out of sticky situations without needing a male hero to save her. However, her sexy ex-boyfriend, Ben Labeck, is there to help her. In this book , Mazie accidentally gets herself involved in a murder investigation and Ben is considered a suspect. Together they must figure out who the murderer is and clear Ben’s name.
NOTE: I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion/review.

NetGalley Free Book

Maizie is a woman who was sent to prison for killing her husband. That was until she escaped and found the real killer. Now she lives in a two bedroom apartment with a dog, she works at an erotic coffee shop and her car is named Pig. Ben is the man of her dreams. Except they broke up because he wanted to take care of her. This time he gets into trouble and she has to help him discover who the real killer is.

This author remind me of Janet Evanovich. Love it!! The humor, the crazy things she gets herself into and the love mess. Mazie is a hot lovable mess. The plot is so fantastic in this book. It is so action packed and humorous that I could not put it down.

The characters were wonderfully written. Although the book was a typical who-dun-it and the ending predictable it was a fantastic read. Kudos to the author.

I am so thrilled to have found a new author and Contemporary Suspense series! Juliet Rosetti has given us a great character driven series, peopled with the kind of quirky characters that I would love to know. The fact is that Ms. Rosetti has a a real talent for writing beautifully detailed characters and putting them in situations that will make you laugh out loud. The dialogue is witty and crisp and intelligent. The secondary characters are just as detailed as the primary ones, and I see so much potential for future books revolving around this group.
Crazy for You was fast paced, well plotted, and excellently written.
I will look for more from this series and this author.

This review pertains to Crazy for You by Juliet Rosetti. Thank you to Random House and Netgalley for the chance to read and review. When I first started this book, I hadn't realized it was part of a series. Although it could be read as a standalone, I put it down and went and read the first book of the series. With that in mind, I absolutely LOVED this book and series, This book was hilarious, and i was quite often literally laughing out loud. The chemistry between Mazie and Ben is scorching and the secondary characters in this were extremely well done. There was nothing I didn't like about this book, and I highly recommend this book, series and author to all romance readers. Extremely well done and I look forward to more from Juliet Rosetti
