I do believe this is the last one in the series...sadly...but then Greg and Carla might get a book???

I really enjoyed Dickie and Becca! If you have been reading this series, the inuendo between Dickie and Becca has been great!

Dickie is a man in charge and he know just how to handle Becca and how to "force" her to relax. I loved that he let her do her lawyer thing and be awesome, but then made her feel like a gorgeous woman when off the clock.

This story is certainly a second chance romance as both leads are over 45 (Becca at 48 and Dickie at 50)...but with the bad relationships of their collective past, they know what they need and Dickie knows exactly how to give it!

Twists and turns and some great family scenes with the whole gang!
This "biker" series is about bike enthusiasts who love to build bikes, ride bikes and make money doing it! Enjoy!

3 1/2 stars, we met Becca and Dickie awhile back and in each book we have gotten to know them better and now in Long Ride we finally get their story. Dickie has wanted Becca since he saw her but she lives in Nw York and being a attorney isn't used to men like Dickie. But when her life is in danger Dickie plans to keep her safe. Becca has hidden behind her work for years, after her abusive marriage ended Becca threw everything into her career and has had no time for anything else. When she first saw Dickie she was attracted to him but men were no where on her plans. So when she she finds herself spending more time with Dickie while he is keeping her safe Becca finds it harder and harder to deny her attraction to him.

When neither can hide how they feel about each other Becca and Dickie admit their feelings for one another. As they begin to grow closer the person threatening Becca is caught and with all of her cases pretty much finished in Florida Becca goes back home to New York. Neither Dickie or Becca are happy when they are once agin apart and they have to decide if they can stay apart or if their relationship is worth the risk and the move forward. But quickly they find out that Becca may not be as safe as everyone thought and even if they are willing to make a life together they may not have that option.

This was a nice book but it was missing something that book one and two had, I'm not saying it was bad but I was just hoping for more. We again see everyone from the previous book and we get to see their growth and were they are now as well as glimpses into future books. I think part of my problem was that since book one I have pictured Dickie as a really old over weight guy, I have no clue why he wasn't described as that and I have tried and tried to get that stupid thought out of my head but my brain can't erase what it made for itself *ugh*. Dickie was a great hero he was strong and protective and loved Becca, and we finally get to see more of what made Becca who she is now. I thought I pretty much had her figured out but this book really shows us who she is now and what she has been though.

I do wish instead of so much of everyone else we would have had more Becca and Dickie (not that we don't get a lot ) but because Becca is everyones attorney it almost felt like the other stories encroached on theirs. I really liked the twist and kinda suspected it but it was still a nice addition to this story. I will continue this story, I'm excited to see who will still get their own book and to see where this series goes. I just hope we don't loose some of the grittiness that the first few books have(I know this isn't a full on gritty series, but I like at least some in a biker book) and that this series stays true to what it started as. Overall this was a nice quick read in a series I have liked and has kept pulling me back to read more.

Ive enjoyed all the Riding with Honor books - the only thing that has pissed me off with this one more than the others - as I feel this is the last book in the series (for the 4 main characters anyway)- it just ENDED - it needed an epilogue - considering everything that is spoken about in this book with each of the characters - we now have no closure I guess you could say.

An epilogue about each of the characters maybe 2yrs later would have give this book more stars. There are way to many questions left that need answering.

Whats happens to Edna??
What do Lilly & Bobby have?
What happens to Dickie & Becca and the little girls?
What happens to Tommy & the foster baby from his ex?

There are weddings...babies...futures and we don't know any of it - that is what pissed me off at the end of this book...

Good series - bad ending

I didn't actually expect this book to be any good as both Becca and Dickie are slightly older. But I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing which would have rounded the book and the series off would have been a epilogue.

Dear Rebecca Avery
I would worship you if you could please write an epilogue book for this series.

Thanks!

Dickie took one look at Becca and he was a goner. To Becca he was to out there and made her feel things she doesn't want to.
When her brother hires him to protect her she wants no part of it. Staying at his house puts her right where he wants her. Becca comes to realize that she has been denying her feelings for Dickie.
Once the threat is supposedly gone she leaves but realizes she is leaving her heart behind.
I really enjoyed reading Dickie and Becca's story. They are much older than what you usually find in a book. Dickie was sweet and hilarious. Becca was a strong confident woman until it came to showing emotions. She was able to show a softer side of herself by knowing the guys in the garage.
The big surprise reveal was not so surprising I figured it out earlier in the series and I don't seriously think it would have been accepted so easily.
Great book and an easy read.

4 Stars..

Long Ride was a good story..it was slow going. Dickie is one of my favorite characters and I was not expecting the bomb that dropped in this story. Becca was the female lead.. I liked her fire, but at times I wanted to strangle her.. overall its was a nice addition to this series. Happy Reading!!

This is a DNF for me…I’m sorry this book just did not flow, I hated how it was written and the story line is so far all over the place I felt like I had to read the pages two or three times just to figure out what the hell I had just read.
I loved the storyline of this book but once I started reading it I literally was like blah blah blah blah blah UGHHHH!!!!
gag me photo: Gag me EWCOMMUNITY.gif

I was bored and disinterested because there was SO MUCH going on in one paragraph!!!! Again I felt like I had to reread it several times to grasp WTF was happening!!!!! Ughhhh I’m pissed I even wasted my money on this book, that’s how frustrating this story made me! It didn’t flow, there were WAY too many characters floating around that you just lost sight of the two main character of this book….I hate when I waste my time on what’s suppose to be a great book!!! Rant.Over.

Our Thoughts:

We love Dickie! Best older hot man ever, total silver fox!

Finally, after helping everyone else, Becca gets her hot man!

Both these characters are great people, whom you admire, look up too and will fall in love with. They would do anything for their family and their friends.

It is not only Dickie and Becca’s story but a continuation of the series.

All your favorite characters have prominent roles.

In this novel the happily ever after happens, for both Dickie and Becca.

She writes a nice story. Her writing and editing is far improved from her first book in this series. Seriously. WAY better writing mechanics.
I would have liked an epilogue. But then perhaps Greg and Carla will have a book that will tie up the loose ends from this one.

I enjoyed the fact that Becca and Dickie were "mature". See how I didn't say OLDER? They are mature characters. They have lived. They have history and experience behind them. In fact, Dickie referred to Becca as being "in her prime". Love that.

Once again GREAT read!! This was the book I was waiting on from the beginning! I have always loved Dickie, and his story did not disappoint! Becca, the firey attorney, has a dark past that comes back to haunt her, so her brother hires Dickie as her personal body guard! And so the love story begins! You can imagine with what you know about these characters thus far, how steamy this gets!! Great book! Great series! I would love love love to see another book in this series!

Really enjoyed this story, It is the last book in this series. Dickie and Becca's story is told so nicely with the support of the characters from the first 3 books helps to tie the series together. I really enjoyed the age of the characters. They were not a 20 or 30 year old couple who didn't know what they wanted or how to communicate with each other. No playing with emotions. It was a pleasure to read about a mature couple. A must read.

I hope to hear from these more and more I don't want it to end
I also hope that there is a book about Carla and Greg we need more

As always, the strong, quiet type drew me in from the beginning and once he got his own book, I was hooked! Becca got herself one heck of a man in Dickie! Just wish the ending wasn't so abrupt, again! Book 5 better have a whole lot of extraneous info on the other couples, or one heck of an epilogue!

I absolutely love this whole series. What I love most about the books in this series are the characters. You just can't help but fall in love with all these guys. Richard (Dickie) Long is the absolute sweetheart of the bunch and I have a huge crush on him! :) I really enjoyed reading his story.
