My thanks to Night Owl Reviews for letting me review this book.

I loved it ! The drama was fantastic, the suspense was riveting. This one had the kind of emotional heartache that grabs you by the throat & doesn't let go until you get your happy ending. I loved Synjon, with his sexy British accent. Loved the emotional rollercoaster of this ingenious plot. The love scenes .... lordy mercy .... they sizzled with passion.

Laura Wright did a fantastic job with this book. I enjoyed the subplot with Phane & Dani. Can't wait to read their story. Picking up on a possible turning point in this series, the escalating tensions between the various factions. So the author is keeping the series fresh & exciting with ever changing plots.

Good news for readers ... Eternal Sin is a strong addition to this exciting series. It's entertaing, loaded with suspense, heartache & passion. It's a page turner I could'nt put down. I am giving it 5 stars & my highest recommendation.

REVIEW:
I have to admit I have loved Synjon since he first walked on the scene. I would have to say that Syn is my second favorite character only to Nicky in the Mark of the Vampire world. But at the end of Eternal Demon I was very worried that my fun loving, teasing, sweet talking, dreamy Brit was lost forever. As I began Eternal Sin I had to remember that someway and somehow Ms. Wright would make everything right. She would wouldn't she????? But oh Synjon is a total unfeeling a$$nut at the beginning of the book. I had to remember that it was not really his fault. But let me tell you Ms. Wright put me through the ringer waiting and waiting and waiting for Syn to stop being will an a$$.
This was a great story in the Mark of the Vampire series. We are introduced a few new characters. We get a bit of a look at love triangle, which I am a little worried about. We learn that the threat to the Order is not gone, but out for vengeance yet again.
If you are a fan of the Mark of the Vampire series you will really enjoy Eternal Sin.

Laura Wright brings readers the sixth book in her Mark of the Vampire series, Eternal Sin. Petra and Synjon finally get their story, which begins in the novella, Eternal Beauty. Wright gives readers a tortured hero in every sense of the word, with Synjon Wise, who lost his mate, tried to take his own life, and now has had his emotions drained from him. Wright's patented sexy writing style is evident on every page, with tension both sexual and emotional between the two main characters. Fans of the series will see the beginnings of a new story arc and the return of many previous characters from the series. It's a story you won't want to miss!

The Mark of the Vampire series has long been a favorite of mine. Readers first met Synjon in Eternal Captive, the third installment in the series, and that sexy British accent has had them reeling ever since. Syn is a changed man in this novel though. In Eternal Sin readers meet him after he has lost his one true love, Juliet to the hands of the Cruen the vampire and mad scientist who is experimenting in some pretty nasty stuff. Cruen has not only killed Juliet but drained Syn of his emotions. Syn has become a first class jerk. He doesn't care about anyone lest ways Cruen's daughter, Petra who saved his life. They spent one romantic night together resulting in a child. Now seven months pregnant, Petra needs him to survive, but frankly he doesn't give a darn.

Though Syn starts out with no emotions, there is a ton of emotional tension in this novel. Will he get his emotions back? Can he love the daughter of the man who killed his mate? Will he take revenge on the father of the woman carrying his child? It's a mess and Syn is right there in the middle of it. I loved the way Wright is able to show him as a real tough customer here. He has always been bold and rugged but he is totally ruthless in some aspects in this book. I loved the total shift in character and how he slowly but surely gets back to his old self. It's almost a kick on the theme that you can't hide your true self no matter what happens to you. A great plot line!

Petra's adopted family of shape shifters play a pivotal role in Eternal Sin which will lead readers to see that Wright is changing things up for coming books. By adding in the shifters the story is taking a different turn which could provide a lot of variety and interesting story lines. The animal shifters are interesting and I think readers will really take to them. Though the vampires have always been the focus of the series and I think they still will be, there is more going on here, which I think is a great direction for the series to go.

Syn eventually gets himself together and realizes he is growing a whole new set of emotions regarding Petra and his unborn child. Though he needed a little help to get him going, he finally turns back into the man readers have loved from the start. It was a very hard road for these two, but when the passion ignites, it's gets very hot, very quickly. Wright knows how to write a good love scene, with just enough to whet the readers appetite and letting them let their imaginations fill in the rest.

This was a great addition to this series and I think is proves that there are still a lot of stories to be written in this world. Wright sets up a new arc and keeps readers wanting more!

ETERNAL SIN is the sixth storyline in Laura Wright’s Mark of the Vampire series. This is Synjon and Petra’s storyline which began in the novella Eternal Beauty. Following the murder of Synjon’s first mate Juliet at the hands of Cruen, Petra would discover Synjon as he is about to take his own life. What ensued was a passionate affair that has left Petra pregnant with Synjon’s baby and Synjon is nowhere to be found.

Eternal Sin follows Petra as she is unable to feed or care for herself without the blood of the vampire male with whom she has mated. But Synjon’s emotions have been drained and on the surface he does not appear to care about anyone or anything-including Petra and his unborn child. So, as Petra returns to the Rain Forest awaiting the birth of her child, her friends and family will take it upon themselves to bring Synjon to feed the woman to whom he no longer feels any emotional tie.

The reader is pulled into a storyline about two people so wrong for one another but so right in the end. Petra has been abandoned and humiliated by the vampire that she has now chosen to live among her adopted family of shifters. And Synjon, without his emotions intact, wanders through the nights hoping to find something or someone that will stir up needs and feelings.

The relationship between Synjon and Petra begins as one of necessity but as the storyline progresses Petra’s presence in Synjon’s life jump-starts a whole new set of emotions that Synjon can no longer hide.

The storyline is also setting up a different storyline arc for the series as Petra’s family of animal shifters play a pivotal role in the storyline as part of the back story to Cruen’s vampire/animal experiments known as Mutores reveals much more in Eternal Sin than anyone knew.

Laura Wright brings together many of the series’ previous storyline characters including the Roman brothers, Dillon and Grey, as well as a number of Dillon’s mutore brothers.

Eternal Sin is a fascinating and wonderfully written storyline that has been building over that last few instalments including the possibility that with Cruen old habits never really die, they remain hidden where no one is looking. Laura Wright draws the reader into a story about two people whose lives crossed at one moment in time and whose lives are now forever changed. Synjon has a second chance at life and love and, Petra looks to the future with the man to whom she has fallen in love.

Eternal Sin is a necessary read in the Mark of the Vampire series and sets into motion the potential for several more storylines. Laura Wright has created a colorful world of sexy vampires, demons and shifters and brings them together in a series that is a must read.

ARC provided by the Publisher, via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

Laura Wright has done it again, delivering the sixth novel in her Mark of the Vampires series. This is one of the most compelling, addicting, and erotic paranormal series I have read. It is fast paced, full of action, overflowing with sizzling hot romance, and each book has an intense plot that just intensifies the major conflict in the series.

Eternal Sin begins where Eternal Demon left off. The main character is Synjon the sexy, fun loving, smooth talking Brit, who was also a former agent for The Order. In Eternal Demon we feared that Syn has been lost forever. He has become an unfeeling and unemotional bastard. He was a total ass. But it was not his fault and the sacrifice he made had an ulterior agenda against the Order’s lethal enemy.

The heroine, Petra is one of the most courageous characters I have read. She is seven months pregnant with Syn’s child and he couldn’t care less. He would just as soon have her destroy the pregnancy than take an active part in a future life. Petra needs Syn as a primary food source for her and her unborn baby. As she battles madness, fights for the life of her child, she has developed a strong will to survive

The sexual tension, the drama between this couple, the erotic love scenes, the passion, and the final fall of Syn are breathtaking. The dialogue and humor in this story are witty and entertaining. Add the threat to the Order, the emergence of the shifter world, the vengeance, new characters, and a world that readers will become a part of, and you have one outstanding book.

Eternal Sin can be read as a stand alone. I recommend reading the series in order for a richer and more satisfying experience. The Mark Of The Vampire is a thrilling series.

I highly recommend this book!

Another hit for the MOTV series!

It's time for Synjon's story. He's without his emotions and uncapable of feelings. Petra is pregnant with Syn's balas and she's weak without his blood. After Petra's brothers kidnap Synjon so Petra can feed from him, there's no way he can continue emotionless, because Petra and the balas in her belly bring his emotions out.

This is a beautiful and sexy love story. It's emotional to see Synjon feeling again, little by little. We see a lot of the other characters - the Romans and their mates, the Mutores and Gray, even Cellie, Sara and Petra's mother, the shifters from Rain Forest, and Cruen, of course...

I like very much the way Laura Wright, in a book of 300 pages, put all the elements that make a great story - love, sex scenes, family, friendship, a good plot and action.

I was having an awful week when I received my Eternal Sin copy; I started reading it immediately and it was so much easier to go on remembering what I'd read. This is just how great a book it is!

I’ve been reading the Mark of a Vampire series since the very beginning and I'm never disappointed when a new book is released.
Readers were given a small sample of Synjon and Petra in the novella Eternal Beauty, which only served to make us want so much more!
While it’s always difficult to read a story where the emotional torment of a character rips at the very foundation of your soul, it’s just as hard to travel a journey where a cold and calculated barrier has been erected around their unbeating heart.
I am always surprised by how quickly I consume these novels, but it’s obviously a testament to the author that I become so totally engrossed, I can’t tear myself away until the very last page.
Synjon and Petra’s story is an all consuming, enthralling read filled with deception, tears, pain, laughter, and passion; so get comfortable, have the tissues handy and don’t say I didn’t warn you when you can’t put it down!

As always this is just to let you know before reading my review that I write my reviews as I am reading so I don’t forget anything I wanted to say. So please keep that in mind when you reading this and if it seems like I am making any guesses as to what MIGHT happen this is why.

So Eternal Sin is the full novel for Petra, and Synjon who we got a sneak peak at in Eternal Beauty…and I absolutely fell in love with Syn’s character. He’s tortured over the loss of the lover, but he finds solace in the one night stand he had with Petra who happens to be the daughter of Cruen the man Syn is trying to kill. Petra set off to find her father to warn him he was in danger only to quickly realize she is pregnant with Syn’s baby. We saw a little more of Syn in Eternal Demon … and his witty banter with Lucian is hilarious. I LOVE that Lucian gave him a nickname and the two of them are so argumentative throughout this series and it makes me laugh.

I completely forgot about Cruen taking Synjon’s emotions out from his blood…GAH…what has happened to Brit Boy?! He needs his emotions back…I do NOT like this one bit! I want the old Syn back pronto!!!
Now how is Petra going to take this??? Is she going to stick up for Cruen even though he’s set in motion the destruction of her shifter family?
Me thinks Syn has bitten off more than he can chew with Petra…she is a spitfire and just the kind of paven he needs.
Oh yeah, Syn is in for rude awakening where Petra is concerned…I love their push and pull relationship. Petra doesn’t want to think about it but she loves Syn, she’s going to fight her feelings until the very end but she won’t be able to deny them long. Syn…oh Syn…he is up an emotional shit’s creek and lost both paddles. I’m going to love seeing him come back into his emotions.

I am enjoying Phane’s crush on Dani…it’s cracking me up and I am HOPING (hint, hint) that the new book Eternal Storm is Phane and Dani’s book…
Okay WTH is up with Feeyan??? Dillon needs to back hand her a good one…maybe knocks some sense into her.
Also why can’t Cruen just go away already? He is annoying the hell out of me.

Someone seems to be getting his emotions back little by little from being around Petra and the balas…hehe. He really didn’t know what was going to hit him, Brit Boy is returning little by little YAY!
Dani is going to tick off Petra and she is going to end up going off on her, I really think so. I understand she is trying to protect Petra but she’s going to end up pushing her away by being this over baring and domineering.
Okay Syn as I knew was going to happen was caught in a lie….

Oh and before I forget…I LOVED interaction between Syn and Lucian!!!!
“That’s a knobhead with no conscience, Frosty.” Luca grinned, broad and excited. “I’ve missed you, Brit Boy.”
It made me smile and laugh because I LOVE these two and their back and forth banter, that’s why Lucian’s book is my favorite…but this one is slowly making its way as being right there next to it as my favorite.

I just finished the book and OMG the Epilogue!!! WTF Lycos?!?!
Eternal Storm is going to be and AMAZING book if the Epilogue is any indication and I can’t wait to read it.
With that said Syn and Petra’s story was amazing, heart breaking, and intense all in one. There were times when I thought okay Petra when are you finally going to throw your arms up and say forget it to Cruen being anything but an evil bastard. I get he is her father but there is just a point when you HAVE to give up on a person deserving you love and Cruen does NOT deserve Petra’s after all he has done to not just Syn, but her…his own daughter.

Once lovers before the hero discovered her identity of the daughter of the man who slaughtered his lover, the hero’s emotions were stripped, leaving him completely void of any feelings or care for such trivial things. The heroine is left pregnant and allow. But, as the father of her baby is a vampire, the heroine is slowly going crazy without his supply of blood to keep her sane. So, her friends and family kidnap the hero and imprison him up in the shed outside.

The story was decent enough but I would have liked to see the baby being born before the end. I felt like showing the hero having that connection with his own flesh and blood would have been something special as, though he gets his feelings back and finds love with the heroine, he was still sort of detached and cold sometimes. I honestly didn’t think he was at all interested in rediscovering his emotions and he fought any tidbit of feeling he started to feel emerge. I liked the heroine, her strength and refusal to just lie down and accept her fate. She’s hurt by the hero’s nonchalance and cold cruelty but he’s still the love of her life and father of her unborn child. Imagine having someone you love not love you back and have absolutely no desire to. It was be so painful.

Eternal Sin was one of those books that I was dying to read. Due to issues and other obligations, I had to wait to read it, but man was it worth the wait. I absolutely love Sin and Petra!

Laura Wright has created an amazing and unique world in the Mark of the Vampire Series. I have loved the Romans and their friends since book 1. The characters are well developed and leap off the page. If you enjoy PNR Romance, then this series is a must read.

In Eternal Sin we find Petra very pregnant with Sin's child and Sin devoid of emotions only working towards one goal - revenge against Petra's father. In Eternal Beauty, an eNovella, we saw how Sin and Petra met and learned of the conflicts that worked against their relationship. Not only does Sin need to deal with his past and decide if he can love Petra regardless of her father, but Petra has to come to terms with a father that she wants to love, but doesn't deserve her love. Will Petra open her heart to not only her family she never knew but Sin as well. A real roller coaster ride along with some sweet moments between this amazing couple.

Petra is a vampire raised by shifters. Synjon is a vampire on a quest to kill the monster who held is love hostage and in the end was the cause for her death. When Synjon feels like he can't live without his love he tried to let the sun take him. Seeing this Petra saves him and after a passionate night winds up pregnant. When she finds out that her father is man Synjon wants to kill she runs to warn her father. Synjon has Cruen, his enemy take away his emotions so that he an exact the ultimate revenge on him. He now has no feelings for anyone and now that she is fully into her pregnancy Petra needs Synjons blood for herself and her baby making this an opportunity to connect. Will Synjon give up his quest for revenge for Petra and his baby.

Despite a Pretty Woman moment I thought this was a great story. Petra and Synjon have to start from scratch regarding their relationship so we get a chance to watch the feeling grow between them. We get to meet Petra's adoptive family and other shifters from the Rain Forest, I hope a story grows from there. I found Petra's best friend Dani extremely annoying, maybe I will like her better in her own book.

I won this book in a first read giveaway in exchange for a review. Not having read the other books in the series; I was a bit lost at first. The glossary provided in the front was a great help. That being said, I am huge fan of vampire reads and now look forward to reading the other books in this series. It was erotic, Steamy, and a very sexy read.

I was not a huge fan of Petra, she seems a bit spoiled, self centered and conveniently gets pregnant by Synjon to get her way into his life. After her Dad is actually the one responsible for taking the life of his true love.

I would definitely recommend this series for the vampire lovers and will add more to this review after I read the series in its entirety. This book was OK as a standalone book but from reading the other reviews I think I would have been more excited and finished more quickly had I read them in order. ( which I DO plan on doing ASAP )

Pussy Brothers. Fav line, genius of the funny.
But.
Loved this romance which surprised me since I was not a fan of the H in the other books up until about the 65% mark when the romance took a back seat to the stupid. The whole foolish 'but he's my daddy' thing with the h made zero sense and the romance, focus on the H/h, and the pretty smokin smex went bye bye for this boring plot device...and then, boom the H gets his feelings back...wrap up.
Disappointing. So 4 for the first part of the story and a 2, skim in, for the latter part.
Not sure the next book which I'm assuming will be m/f/m or some love triangle without the 3-way holds appeal...Arian shifter romance isn't something I have interest in.

Eternal Sin wasn't my favorite book in Laura Wright's fangtabulous Mark of the Vampire series but it was really frakkin good and has me itching for the next book in the series. As much as I lurve Synjon and Petra, their book, Eternal Sin, was a bit predictable. I'm not a fan of predictability and wish I had been more emotionally involved but there was some serious smexiness, lots of action, and a couple of secondary characters that really peaked my interest. Dani is beyond awesome and Phane has grown on me. I can't wait to see what happens next in this world.

4-4.5 stars..
First..it has been quite awhile since I read the last book in the series, but I didn't feel lost at all.
We pick up with Syn and Petra. Petra is carrying Syn's balas. The story starts out with Syn hell bent on killing Cruen..and Petra struggling with her and the balas' health. As they struggle together. .Syn starts to feel..and Pets is falling hard.
Cruen of course is his evil self..and the shifter community is in danger.
Loved Syn..yum..and loved Petra. Lacked a bit of punch..but I really liked the book. Great intro to Phane and Dani!!

A good story of love and redemption

A good story of love and redemption

This is a fine addition to the Eternal Breed series. Syn's story brings us deeper into their world, as well as introduces us to the next set of characters. The only negative I have about the story is the dropping of crude language in a few of the love scenes...just isn't necessary in my view. Still, despite those occasionally jarring notes, the story is a good one and definitely worth reading.

Enjoyed this book in the series much more than the last one. I felt a greater connection between the lead couple. It was nice to see Cruen get some sort of punishment for his crimes, although I don't think this is the last we have seen of him. I think the only way to put an end to his madness and evil is to end him. The set up for the next book looks interesting perhaps we will stick with this world a bit longer.

This book was a struggle for me to finish. I have read all the other books in the series and this book was my least favorite. I’m not sure if it’s because I didn’t feel Synjon transformation at the end or his depth of love for Petra and their baby. I just wasn’t feeling this book. I did, however, enjoy the cliff cliffhanger at the end. I’m soo interested in reading the next book. I think that’s going to be good.

This is the first book I read out of this series, and I have to say it was pretty good. I enjoyed all of the characters, though Petra's stance on her father really annoyed me at times to the point I contemplated putting down the book. Still, the story was good, and I especially loved Dani and Phane. I can't wait until their book comes out.
