Miss Madeley must choose between her reputation and the viscount who holds her heart hostage.
When Lord Brookmire makes his way directly across the room towards Miss Deborah Madeley, she is horrified and attempts to give him the cut direct – only for him to drag her away to the corner of the room and beg for help from her and ‘The London Ledger’. Deborah tries to ignore the spark that sizzles up her arm at his touch and states that she does not think she can help him.
Despite her protests, however, her friends and Lady Yardley state that ‘The London Ledger’ can be used to assist Lord Brookmire and thus, their connection immediately deepens. Deborah is flung into Lord Brookmire’s confusing world, finding that he is the only one she can hold onto when whispers begin to flood society about her instead.
Phillip, Viscount Brookmire, is being blackmailed. Fearful of what will occur if he does not do what is asked, he is desperate for help. Being drawn to Miss Deborah Madeley, he is distraught when his dark world begins to pull her in also. When he attempts to push her away in order to protect her, he is stunned when her strength refuses to permit him to do so. Will they be able to fight forward together? Or will he be forced to give in and, thereafter, leave London society – and Miss Madeley – altogether?
This is Book 4 in the Only for Love series, where a group of young ladies make a pact with each other that they will marry only for love, despite pressure from their parents and society to make a convenient match. It can be read as a standalone story, is clean and wholesome, and suitable for all ages. Get your copy today!
Rose has read her way through countless romances over the years, “borrowing” them from her older sisters, and hiding them from her mother.
She has a special love for Regency romances and when she began writing, the Regency period was a natural place to start. The ton, the wealthy families, the Season, the dilemmas, and yes, the marriages, have always fascinated her.
She loves a happy ever after! Now she is happy to bring this passion to her stories and share it with her readers.
On a personal note, Rose lives in North Carolina, is married, and has a terrier that barks too much. She enjoys taking him for walks to tire him out!
Phillip Viscount Brookmire is a self confessed rogue & this lands him in hot water when another lord blackmails him, fearful of what will occur if he does not do what is asked, he is desperate for help & turns to Lady Yardley & The London Ledger. Miss Deborah Madeley, is intrigued by Lord Brookmire though she knows she shouldn’t & she tries to ignore the spark that sizzles up her arm at his touch. Despite her protests, however, her friends and Lady Yardley state that ‘The London Ledger’ can be used to assist Lord Brooking and thus, their connection immediately deepens. The fourth book in the series & it’s easily read on its own. Lady Yardley & The London Ledger do appear in each book & it’s a common thread how the publication aids people. I really liked both Phillip & Deborah, he’s the rogue who is given a huge wake up call & so makes strides to reform. She’s an open minded young woman willing to help & give people a second chance. I loved how they were drawn together & she brought out the best in Phillip. I loved that Deborah’s mother was firmly in her daughter's court & that they had an honest, open & loving relationship. The villain is horrid & I enjoyed that he received his just desserts. A well written charming romance. My review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Miss Deborah Madeley will be expected to choose a husband during this second Season. Her parents warn her to avoid the rogue Phillip, Lord Brookmire, as this is the Season for consideration and caution for one’s reputation as she prepares for her future.

Lady Yardley agrees to help and Deborah is asked to work with him. They become closer, risking her reputation as well. He does not want to draw her into this scandal and tries to turn her away for her protection. But she chooses to stand with him as they fight back together. Will they clear his name? Grab your copy of this wonderful story and see if everything works out and lessons are learned along the way.
This is Book 4 in the Only for Love series, and Rose Pearson did not disappoint. In this story we find Deborah Madeley being approached by Lord Brooking. Her mother has warned her to stay away from him because he has an unsavory reputation and a known scoundrel. In their first encounter she is quite vocal about what she thinks of him and assumes it will be their last interaction. However, she cannot help feeling drawn to him so when he needs her help to outsmart and expose a blackmailer she reluctantly helps him.
An engaging story with great characters, unscrupulous villains, adventure, love, and self discovery. Once again with the help of good friends, and “The London Ledger” the truth is exposed and love prevails.

This is a standalone story even though book 4 of the series.
The H has a complete turnaround from rogue to the opposite. It happened pretty quickly and it wasn't believable to me. Plus after his about face, he kept repeating how he took ownership of his actions.
I'm assuming the villain's reasons for what he does is because he's bored. That's my conclusion because we aren't told. The ending left me wanting more on how the ton treated him. The story ends at the 88% mark, when the ending would have been better if the epilogue was longer. What did the MC future hold? I wanted her to question him if he would be a faithful husband.
No cheating, no cliffhanger, short epilogue, HEA and clean. I can't improve on the blurb, just giving you some extra tidbits to decide whether to purchase. (ljb)

Lord Phillip Brookmire has returned to London for the season. He is known as a scoundrel and most of the mothers of the ton have warned their daughters not to have anything to do with him.
Miss Deborah Madeley wants nothing to do with Phillip and makes that very plain to him.
When Philips finds himself being blackmailed, he turns to Deborah and Lady Yardley who is author of “The London Ledger” for help. This is another lovely, sweet, clean story in this series. I really enjoyed this story.

When Debora begins her second season she knows she must start to look for a husband. She is told to stay away from certain Rogue Gentlemen. Lord Brooking is one of those men but is begging Debora for her help. Will she look past the reputation of this person or ignore his request. This is a continuation of the latest series of books by Rose Pearson. This is a very well written story with plenty of intrigue and hopeful wishes. I suggest anything written by Rose if you like a nice clean read with an HEA.

Despised, spiteful - NO words can describe how I feel about Lord Anderton, I would not be a proper lady of the TON around him in anyway shape or form! Bravery - owning - friendship - trust and so much more can be said about not only the main characters Phillip and Deborah, but also Lord Marchmont, Lady Elizabeth, Lady Prescott, Lord and Lady Yardley. The support and trust they come to share is awesome and what they accomplished together with the help of a few other characters, is something we need to see more of in today's world. I would love to read an edition of The London Ledger
Miss Deborah Madeley has been warned by her mother and society that Lord Brooking is a scoundrel. When Lord Phillip Brooking approaches her, she verbally slices into him. Sparks are there between Deborah and Phillip, but she tries to ignore them. Then he asks for her help and that of the author of “The London Ledger.” Quite an intriguing adventure ahead.

3.5 stars Deborah Madeley is another one of the debutants who is looking for love in a marriage. She is quite a determined character and will speak her mind. Philip, Viscount Brookmire has a reputation that is nothing to be proud of. However, circumstances make him want to change for the better. Unfortunately, he has got himself in a real mess. Luckily for him he has Lady Yardley on his side. Deborah and Philip are attracted to each other but an enemy doesn’t want happiness for them. I did like the way that the ladies in the story were no weaklings and said what they believed to be true. This was an enjoyable read with likeable characters. I received a copy via Booksprout and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Phillip, Lord Brookmire, is back for a season of fun and well, rogue behavior. He does not expect consequences for his carefree behavior. He should also choose his friends with better care.
Deborah has good parents who taught her to be honest and to think independently. She knows of Phillip’s reputation.
This was a good premise, can Phillip change his behavior and attitude? Deborah is definitely his incentive. Blackmail abounds. Recommend.
This is a delightful and clean Regency romance. Deborah is in her second season and is looking for a match. Her group of friends have all decided to only marry for love. She has been warned to stay away from rogue gentlemen, so why does she feel sparks when he touches her? A wonderful plot with interesting characters! A fantastic read! I received an advance copy of this book from the author, however, I voluntarily wrote an honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.
I loved this exciting story, it will keep you involved with these characters from beginning to end. I loved how Phillip wasn’t afraid to ask for help and how willing they were to help. Deborah never gave up hope that all would be well. The suspense, twists, surprises, and awesome characters will grab you and not let you go.

Intriguing story which held my interest from start to finish. Deborah and Phillip are wonderful characters who invite the reader to join them on their adventures to uncover a blackmailer. Their romance is slow to start but sparks soon fly between the two main characters. I highly recommend this book. It took getting caught in a comprising situation for Phillip to want to end his bad habits. With the help of Deborah and the London Ledger will he be able to out do Lord Anderton? A nice addition to the series.

I'm really enjoying this series and getting to know all the characters. Lord Brookmire and Deborah's story captivated me from the beginning. He didn't believe in love but that's what she was looking for. He'd never met anyone like her. A really great read.
Rose Pearson is a master storyteller of regency romance. This story has delightfully real characters and I fell in love with each one. I recommend this book.
Sweet and Clean Regency Romance💕 Miss Medeley💃 Is told by her mother to never have contact with the rogue, Viscount Brookmire🐺. But he has his sights set on her. She ignores her mother's warning. I got this e-book from Amazon📚 with Kindle unlimited.
In this story a lady of high quality changes her judgement in regard to a rogue. Her strong character and the wise advice of Lady Yardley, gives Deborah the power to enable Phillip to have the opportunity to change.
I have never been disappointed when reading a book from Rose Pearson. It is always entertaining and surprising and always clean morally. I enjoy her riding style and will continue to be a fan.
The same things apply in the world today that did back in the Regency days,, Who you know and how you present yourself is always important. And hatefulness and fraud is mostly always uncovered.
