A little challenging to operate and could stand to be less delicate, but the images are simple and colorful and entertaining. Who doesn't love a book with surprises?
Mama and I read this last night so I could work on learning my numbers. I can count, but I can't identify the written numbers. The bright illustrations really help me learn.
Edited July 3, 2022: My daughter still loves this book, and now my son loves it.
My daughter absolutely loves this book! She wants to reread it constantly. We read it multiple times in a row, and it’s one of the books she continually pulls off the shelf.
This book is informational. It is a counting book with numbers 1-10. Under each flap is an animal or item, and my daughter likes me to count each one out.
The illustrations in this book are also, very colorful, which my daughter also loves. Great book!
Nice big flaps to lift to reveal the counted things. And watch out for spoilers... #8 is 8 Seashells, and our Moomin's Little Book of Numbers has 8 Shells too... what's going on? A conspiracy of seashells??? Also, 10 Cherries is 10 cherries, but it's also 5 sets of 2 cherries. hmm Also, the 2 Kittens look strange.
