picked up this easy read at a second-hand store. Lengthy build-up to interesting (non-sexual) dynamics between a widower and a 16-year old runaway, as he learns to open his home and heart to someone new, and she learns to open her life.

[The book could be PG 13 rated, although the girl has an abortion as part of the "build-up" to meeting the widower.]

Set in Idaho in the 1990's, this book captures family life and love through the encounters of a young runaway from Nazi parents with an old man who just received the transplanted heart of his beloved grandson.

A good book about nothing very exciting; just a down-to-earth good read.
