As if life wasn't hard enough being bullied and treated like garbage all the time; my loathsome, insufferable seat mate just had to come with his "secrets" and torture my every waking hour. What's the big deal you say? Nothing except for the fact that he's some insanely beautiful Greek God under those nerdy glasses. And now, he lives next door. I'm Sarah and this is my story. http://www.wattpad.com/story/384625-l...
Sarah, or as most of her peers call her Nerdy, wants nothing but to finish high school, go to college and leave the memories of her past behind with the small town she is living in. She wasn’t expecting any excitement in her life, nor did she want any, she just wanted her life to be peaceful for once. But when this new kid, Leon Walden, comes to her school, she had no clue what she was in for. Soon she was going to be placed in a web of lies, embarrassment, and celebrity gossip. It seems as though no matter how hard Sarah tries to avoid any drama, it always seems to find her. In my opinion, this story is amazing. Anyone who has not read this story should read it, whether you like cliché stories or not, this story took me 2 days to finish it because I was so hooked on it. There wasn’t many things about the story that I would change, maybe just one or two things. One, I would probably change the attitude of the main character, maybe it is just me but she kind of seems angry all the time and very sensitive, which to me seems to kill the mood of the scene sometimes. The second thing would probably no brainer for anyone who has read the story, I would eliminate the scene where Sarah throws up on Leon, hasn’t she embarrassed herself enough already? But besides that everything else was, of course, amazing. My favorite quote from the story was I have long given up on finding romance (pg.1) because I agree with that statement 100%. To find romance, particularly in this century, is like trying to find a needle in a haystack; it is almost impossible. This quote was the first reason as to why I was hooked on this book.
I read this when I was still in high school so I don’t remember much about the story. It was so famous in wattpad back then and one of the first English books I’ve read from the app which paved way to my reading spree from other foreign authors.
