Pretending to be a tourist from England while at an exclusive penthouse party, Jenn steps into a trap set by a hot cop with cool green eyes.

Jenn Davidsen knows the only way to get a guy is to go out and look for one. But what’s a woman to do when she has nowhere to go? Get creative, that’s what.

When an invitation to an exclusive penthouse party comes across the fax machine at the boutique hotel where Jenn works, she takes it for herself even though the invitation is meant for a guest. Once there, she takes the advice of a friend—she pretends to be someone else. Her fake accent and made-up personality make her the centre of attention.

Liam Wallace doesn’t like to make the same mistake twice. So when an actress he once worked with—a woman who’s been at the centre of his sizzling daydreams for months—shows up at a party, he puts a plan in motion. This time he isn’t going to stop until her gets Jenn right where he wants her—in his arms and in his bed.

These are three short stories that share the same characters but I think they could be read as stand alone stories.

The stories are cute and sexy with good plot lines. At times I got confused because of the writing style but overall cute short stories.

I was given this ARC for an honest review.

This was a cute short read, perfect for a quick perk up. Jenn is working at the front desk of a hotel in DC, and trying to finish her next blog post for the sex in the city style blog she works for. Liam is a cop, who once gave Jenn some help in polishing an accent for an acting job. A posh party and two people who are pretending to be someone else: she’s from England and he only speaks Dutch. When Jenn agrees to Liam’s plan to help him win a bet, both believe that they can act out their fantasies without the other having feelings.

Their connection is quick and apparent, and the culmination of their time together is really steamy and abandoned. Isabelle Drake took a randomly faxed invitation, some pushy friends and a few well-placed fantasies to create a quick and lusty bite.

I received an eBook copy from the publisher for purpose of honest review for the Jeep Diva. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
