Claiming Love #1

The Mistake

Rate this book
This is the first book of the 'Claiming Love', series by Lucia Jordan. Written with her signature style of high passion, emotion and great sex.

An innocent night of drinking between friends turns into something not-so-innocent: the fulfillment of Krista's longest sexual fantasy—to have sex with her best friend, Danny. Will one night of passion ruin a lifetime of friendship?

Krista Baker meets her lifelong best friend, Daniel "Danny" Marks at a local bar for an evening of drinks and laughs—it's their typical Friday night. However, Krista soon learns that Danny just got dumped by his most recent girlfriend, and he's devastated to the point that he gets extremely drunk. Krista takes him home and puts him to bed. Only, she ends up in bed with him, and the two share a night of drunken debauchery, sex so amazing it stuns both of them. The next morning they agree to forget about it and remain friends. Krista agrees even though she wants more. A week later, she's determined to tell him the truth about how she really feels.

This ebook contains very hot and explicit descriptions of erotic activity. Only mature readers should download this book.

Since releasing her first romance book in 2012, Lucia Jordan has done more than just write stories. She has helped define a genre. As a pioneer of the digital romance revolution, Lucia has penned hundreds of sizzling titles, delighted millions of readers, and earned thousands of five-star reviews. Her ability to blend emotional depth with uninhibited passion has made her a household name, with her hit novel Rock Hard earning a coveted nod as the #1 must-read erotic novel by Women's Health magazine.

But Lucia’s passion extends beyond the page. As the creative force and founding author behind Wild Hearts Romance, she is a champion for the indie community, dedicated to lifting up new voices in a genre she calls powerful, valid, and necessary. She writes for the dreamers and the risk-takers to craft stories that leave nothing to the imagination and remind us all that everyone deserves a happily-ever-after.

When she isn’t fantasizing about her next spicy scene or advocating for fellow writers, Lucia can be found in her sanctuary, a cozy garden gazebo in the Pacific Northwest. It is here that she retreats with her literary trio of cats, Ursula, Colette, and Daphne, to let her imagination wander. With a cup of tea in hand, she dreams up the sizzling plotlines and unforgettable adventures that have made her a bestseller.

This is the First Book in yet another collection of erotic serials…
You know the drill… Each book is going to be short.
The first book is going to be free.
The book will be heavy on sex, light on plot...

Verdict: Not worth continuing the series

Your standard Best Friends Hook Up (this time while drunk) story…
She's in love with him,
He just wants to stay just friends…
We've all heard this one before...

The whole will-they-or-won't-they type of deal.

Since this is a serial, it is necessary for the author to hook me in the very first book if she wants me to continue reading (and paying for) the other Novellas in the series…

Alas, she failed to do that. Simply not interesting enough.

Best friends that take it to another level

Krista and Danny have been best friends forever and one drunken night they end up having sex.

The next morning when Danny tells Krista he made a mistake she is devastated and crushed even though she won't admit it to him now she wants more than friendship with him. Will Danny feel the same when Krista shows up at his place to confess her real feelings?

This was about two best friends having one night together and trying to find out what happens after. The sex was great, but the cliffhanger threw me for a loop. I should have read better. It actually said there was a cliffhanger, ugh. I just saw friends to lovers and got a little distracted, LOL.

I love stories about best friends hooking up. One drunken night cause these best friends to have a one night stand. One feels like it's a mistake and the other feels like it's a dream come true. This book should have been a full length novel because I want more. Plus with that cliffhanger ending, I'll be buying the other series to find out what happens next.

Enjoyed the book, always love when best friends hook up especially when one of them is secretly in love with the other but afraid to admit it. Definitely need the 3 other books now so I can finish the series.

First and foremost, this is not a stand alone story. It does end in a cliff hanger. The good part is that the series is available as one book (which it should have been to begin with)

The story itself is good. I got a good picture of the situation and it definitly kept my interest. There is a lot packed into the 16 pages. I will go on to the rest of the story.

I recommend this story to 18+ and mature due to mild bondage and sexual situations.

This series is done in VERY small increments and while I did enjoy where the story is going and would like to read further, I don't want to pay $2.99 (current price) for the next 24 pages. Maybe if it comes out in a bundle that is reasonably priced or becomes part of Kindle Unlimited I will continue the story.

First read by Jordan and she gave me a very HOT, WET, ELECTRIFYING, and INTOXICATING ride to the release of one's inhibitions. That leads to Krista doing something that she has wanted to do for a very long time. When friends mix alcohol in to things they should wear warning labels to 'stay away until effects wear off'.

It seems that my current favourite theme is (best) friends getting involved. I liked the story even though it was mostly just sex. What speaks for itself that after finishing the book I bought the complete series (which i am about to read right now).

Ruined Friendship

Did 1 night of sex between 2 friends ruin their friendship for good? Krista has been in love with Danny for years but has never said a word. Does he feel the same?

Could a one night stand destroy a friendship??
Drunken friends have a one night stand after he breaks up with his girl friend.
She knows what she wants, has wanted it for a long time but are his feelings on the same page??
Would I recommend this book YES

I liked it but would have appreciated more character interaction apart from sex. I love the build up of tension in books. There was some to an extent but not enough to really set it apart.
