Delia would consider herself to be the perfect woman, living in a perfect world. She has a beautiful daughter and they share a wonderful life. Today could turn out to be quite special, possibly even the perfect day. After all, this was her time.
This is a really (and I mean really) quick read. It reminded me of the old Twilight Zone episodes where the protagonist's world is turned upside down in the blink of an eye. There are some editing errors that jumped out, but I'm giving it three stars for the nostalgia it stirred in me for the old Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, and Outer Limits episodes I used to watch (and love) as a kid. Whatever happened to that glorious genre on television by the way?
Earthspan is a fun read for anyone looking to pass a few minutes in a future world where all is not as perfect as it seems.
