T.B. Phillips debuted in 2019 with his award winning series Dreamers of Andalon, a cautionary fantasy adventure taking place twelve hundred years in our future and set in the age of sail. He has been lauded for his skillfully choreographed sea battles and action sequences, painting a vibrant picture of detail directly into the reader's mind.

He is a former sailor and educator. He served the United States Navy as a Chief Cryptologic Technician and Analyst, living out his own adventures while learning about the world. Many of characters are a sum of the people he met and interacted with during his travels, as evidenced by the comradery displayed in his novels. He retired from active duty in 2008 and taught English and History before becoming a public school principal.

He began his novelist journey after a challenge by his children. As a single father he worked hard to encourage literacy and interest in the arts, and he and his children read and discussed books of all genres throughout the years.

T.B. Phillips is originally from Wichita Falls, TX and resides in Fort Worth, TX with his beautiful wife (and super-intelligent marketing manager) and their blended family of six children.

Andalon Attacks is one of three books written by T.B. Phillips. Andalon Attacks Book 3 surpasses my high expectations. The book is extremely powerful, a story of regaining power, deceit among family, friends and life. The characters are formed from circumstances out of their control and how they are strengthened with internal magical forces that guide them to conquer and give power to their beliefs.

I like the imagination how T.B. Phillip leads us to the core and significance by detailed characterization bringing unforgettable characters and symbolism. For example; “ The Body of the lifeless kraken drifted with the current, tossed by the sea for hundreds of miles until it finally washed upon the beach. Just off shore it’s belly had been ripped to shreds by the sharp shoals and rocks.” I don’t want to spoil what happens next.

My favorite characters, Sippen who is always in trouble, and Marita that has the cutest mannerisms, had me laughing throughout the book.

The book like the other two had me absorbed with the intensity and power where about anything can happen. Great book! Movie quality!

I can't tell you how many times I wanted to toss this book across the room! Phillips takes all of your hopes and dreams and stomps on them. Several times. But don't give up. He is a master of illusion, misdirection and a world class storyteller! The ending is SO good it leaves you BEGGING for more about the future of Andalon!

I had started reading last night and couldn’t put it down! I’m only part of the way through but book 3 is amazing! I love how TB Phillips has the ability to make me fall in love with the characters and relate to them on a real world level.

What started as a naval Game of Thrones with a shade of Avatar the Last Airbender has ended like the Game of Thrones series finale with a shade of daytime soap operas. Every character you have come to respect and appreciate makes the most selfish and short sighted decisions, give in to their fears, exploit living children, exploit dead children, and betray their own in a way that my escapist brain did not want to deal with. While it was brilliantly written and the villains of the story have clear motivations and are fun to read, I found the characters choices and the big reveal of the prophecy to be lackluster compared to the grand scope of it's build up. It's an easy read, descriptive, and bring the story to a conclusion that gives a sense of closure if not a sense of satisfaction. The authors quality of writing never diminishes, but the choices of his characters, sadly do.

The character development brings you into the ongoing journey. The path to which you are lead will not be apparent in it's final destination. This is a great read from beginning to the last page.
