In “Love in All the Wrong Places”, Annie tried her hand at online dating, but it brought her nothing but a broken heart. This girl can't seem to catch a break in the dating world! While wondering what went wrong once again, she met an attractive, funny and sincere hip hop dancer in the parking lot at work. But just as Casey expressed interest in taking her out, he had to leave town to tour the country with an up and coming pop star. Annie was willing to wait for him to return, but then she received an apologetic text from Nate, the last guy she met on Craigslist.
Join Annie on her adventures in “All the Right Things” as she makes some of the biggest decisions of her life. While she thoroughly enjoyed the time she spent with Nate and is still attracted to him, he screwed her and then ditched her at the bar without a word. Will Annie accept Nate’s explanation and his heartfelt apology and give him a second chance or will she kick him to the curb? Or will Casey’s charm and determination to show her how a real man should treat a lady win her over? Or will both of these guys be left in the dust when someone from her past reappears?
Audrey Harte writes stories that blur the line between raw emotion and irresistible romance. A Hawaii native now based in Los Angeles, she first burst onto the indie book scene with her Love in LA trilogy, which went on to be translated into Portuguese and traditionally published in Brazil. Known for weaving heart-clutching emotion with characters you’ll swear you’ve met in real life, Audrey’s work is fueled by a passion for connection, music, and the art of storytelling in all its forms.
When she’s not writing, she’s designing custom book covers, dabbling in photography, working on a new diamond art piece, painting, learning how to DJ, or creating digital fantasy art — always chasing the next spark of inspiration.
Her first book, Love in All the Wrong Places, was released on April 10th, 2013, and the second book in the same series, All the Right Things, was released on February 13th, 2014. The third and final book in the Love in L.A. series, The Winner Takes It All, was released on October 13th, 2014.
Her most recent published book Say Anything was released on April 3rd, 2015, with the cover featuring actor/model/former Harlem Globetrotter and Washington Generals player, Tyler Fleming White, and fitness model, Catherine Gontran. Tyler was most recently featured as one of the basketball players in the hit Netflix series Running Point with Kate Hudson. 3 Continuing Romance in the 21 Century Stars * * *
This is the second in the series of books which look at the way 20 to 30 somethings are meeting, hooking up, learning about life and love. They use the romantic life of a small group of friends and the cities they take place in give an added demention to the tales.
We are right where the last book ended... Annie has finally met an actually cool, sweet, nice, hunky guy. After a bunch of crappy experiences with men over her young life...it looks like she stumbled on a keeper. So what happens next... why she must have one of the ex's try to work his way back into her live... and Annie being Annie... goes through a period of questioning and doubt about this new budding relationship she is starting with Casey.
What will happen... will she look at things from a better place than last time? Will she take Casey's advice and follow her dreams which had been set aside for so many years... or will she just stop herself from experiencing anything good for her.... So many questions and this book covers quite a few of them.
This installment was more focused on Annie in a positive way. In the first book, I felt she was unsure and a little all over the place. It was part of the storyline so it wasn't the structure or the writing. This time, Annie has matured through her experiences and seems to be on the right track for her.
I liked Casey from the start. He listened to Annie's tale of dating horror without judgement... and this was even with her baring her soul and sexual habits completely... sharing TMI big time. Casey seemed to see through all of the situations and focused only on Annie. He also was a romantic for a fella... and that is always a plus.
Although it ends in a good place for her, we are still left with sort of a cliffy... because she is about to embark on a huge life changing adventure.
So I will be patient and wait till this Fall of 2014 to see if Annie rises to the occasion... to see if she is ready to commit to herself and her love... and soar.
A gifted copy was provided by author for an honest review.
I LOVE IT... ALL THE RIGHT THINGS IS RIGHT!!!! I DON'T WANT TO GIVE AWAY WHAT'S IN THE BOOK. BUT GOSH I THEM ALL WINK* WINK*... IDK WHO TEAM TO BE ON.. HEHEHEHE NNNNN I AM SO HAPPY FOR ANNIE!!!!!
Again this was another fun and entertaining read by Audrey Harte. All the Right Things is the second book in her Love in LA series. This book is a continuation of book 1….Love in All the Wrong Places…..and can't be read as a standalone. You definitely need to read book 1 first. This is a fairly quick read. The flow and pace of the story was very well written. This book as well as book isn't overloaded with a lot of excess drama. Audrey did put in some things that could possibly be troublesome in the third book, but really doesn't cause too much drama in this one. I don't want to expand on that because I think it would ruin too much of the story and you need to experience on your own.
I truly believe that the author has created a great group of characters in this series. I love Annie, Alex, Gabe, Nate and Casey. Gabe and Nate are in book 1 and boy did I fall for both of them, but I knew something wasn't right. I will be interested to see what happens with them in book 3. We meet Casey briefly in book 1, but he plays a much bigger part in this book. I like Casey, but for some reason I have a bad feeling about him. He is so sweet and caring, but for some reason I think he is hiding something and that isn't going to be good for Annie. To me his character was pretty secretive in this book. I guess I'll have to wait for book 3 to see if my suspicions are correct.
I liked the direction that this book took with all the characters, like I said I foresee a lot of drama coming in book 3…..The Winner Takes It All……The author left to many things open and questions unanswered. This book again ends on a cliffhanger, but it is more of a to be continued ending, because their isn't really anything nail biting about the ending, you just know there is more to come. This book actually ended with the Annie and Casey in a really good place.
I would recommend this to anyone who has read book 1 or is a fan of Aubrey Harte, but I would also recommend it to anyone looking for that unique New Adult love story that is fun and entertaining, but not over the top on drama. This series will have you smiling and swooning.
Let me give you a fair warning - this book can not be read as a standalone. To better understand Annie's complicated relationships you will have to read the first installment which is Love in All the Wrong Places. Don't worry, book 1 is a very short read which I thought was enjoyable. It was also unique and distinctive. More than a hundred plus books later, I still remember every detail of Annie's story. That's saying something since I have a very bad memory. Ha!
For me, the follow-up was even better than the first. If you've read it you know that she had the worst luck when it came to dating and relationships. Her heart had been broken over and over again. In this book, luck was clearly on her side. The men that did her wrong wanted back into her life and while she was way too hasty with her decision then she made a point to think things over this time around. Talk about learning from your mistakes right?
That wasn't the only amazing element about her in this one. Let's face it, she was treated horribly by both Gabe and Nate. While most people wouldn't have given them the time of day to explain their half of the story she did the total opposite and found it in her heart to give them a chance. That says alot about her overall character.
The one important thing that came about her experience with these men was it lead it to her meeting her current love interest - Casey. From the very beginning I thought he was a great guy. He was very caring and patient with Annie. He spent the time getting to know her and helped her through that difficult time without any alternative motives. I liked that he was just as passionate as Annie. I thought their pairing was terrific but it isn't going to be easy given his career.
A couple of other aspects that I enjoyed about it was the remarkable friendship between the besties. All throughout her ordeal Alex and Katie were there for her every step of the way. I also appreciated how the author described the lifestyle in L.A. Living in a smaller city I found it all fascinating. It gave the series a better feel in general too.
But what I loved most about the book was that it wasn't entirely focused on the great romance between our couple. The series developed into so much MORE. It isn't only about following your heart but further more...following your dreams which I found quite inspirational.
Bottom line is ... All The Right Things was an outstanding sequel and I am definetely looking forward to seeing what comes next for Annie.

My Thoughts:
This was another fast but fun read. Again we are taken on a journey with Annie. After the heartbreak she went through in the first book she wants to guard her heart. She starts hanging out with handsome dancer Casey. Annie has been enjoying getting to know Casey, but now he is leaving. He is going on tour and will be gone for a while. While being positive about the possibility of something more with Casey people from her past start popping up. She is faced with trying to decide between some thing new and fresh, with old and comfortable. Can she trust them after everything that has happened?
While all this drama is happening in her love life she has decided to go after her dreams and audition for a talent competition. Can she keep focused in order to make her dreams come true?
I enjoyed this story. It was a quick read. Read it in one sitting. I liked hearing more about Annie and what happened after the last book. I wasn't as engaged with this book like I was with book one. I think that Audrey ended this book well. I am definitely interested in what happens in the next installment. Overall this book was fun. I have enjoyed the series so far.
All the Right Things picks up right after Love in All the Wrong Places. Annie has just gone out for coffee with Casey for the 2nd time and found out he’s heading off to go on tour for the next 3 weeks. On her way home, Nate texts her to apologize for his behavior (leaving and ignoring). Annie agrees to listen to his explanation and invites him over. Surprisingly, Nate’s story makes sense and is forgivable. Annie now has to decide what to do with Chase and Nate.
Annie’s love life is in turmoil, but the bigger story in All the Right Things is the competition. We learned about Annie’s love for singing in Love in All the Wrong Places, but Nate tells Annie about a new talent-based reality show that’s taking auditions and encourages her to try-out. Casey’s also trying out with his dance crew and he also encourages her. All the Right Things walks us through Annie’s experience with this.
Just when we feel like things are all coming together for Annie, we find out that that Nate and Casey aren’t the only people interested in Annie. Annie runs into Gabe and he turns her world on its axis. Annie also has to contend with a lot of girls eager for Casey’s attention. Annie needs to decide who she wants to be with. What happens after the try outs? Will they want Annie to continue? What about Casey’s group?
A funny thing in the story is how the guys come back. It always seems like guys come back when you’re moving on. Based on the end of Love in All the Wrong Places, we knew something was going on with Nate. I was shocked at his explanation. I didn’t think any excuse would make the situation forgivable, but I was wrong. I also really liked show Annie handled the situation. I mean I appreciate how she said she wasn’t good for him.
I am reserving judgment on Casey. I get the feeling that something more is going on here.
I really don’t know what to make of Trey, but I’m intrigued.
As for the other guy, I had a feeling he’d be coming back. I just wasn’t sure how. It’s interesting to me that Annie reacted differently than with Nate.
I’m looking forward to reading the last book of the trilogy.

I originally read the first book in the Series Love in All the Wrong Places last year and absolutely loved it. I was very excited when I was able to read All the Right Things. I enjoyed it and it would a good read that you can slip in between those dark angsty reads we all love so much.
In the first book we went along with Annie as she explored the nightmares of online dating. She had her heart broken and she was left undecided what to do. Now, she decides to have a little fun. We already know Casey, he’s the uber sexy professional dancer that she met out of chance. They have fun together but it’s nothing serious. Then out of the blue, an appearance out of her past gets her thinking if she could go back down that road. In the mist of all of this, she decides to try out for “The Next American Superstar” and follow her dreams of becoming a singer.
Annie needs to decide if she wants to explore more options with Casey or back into the passionate relationship she once had. Will she be able to follow her dreams of becoming the singer she has always dreamed about? When Casey’s dance crew also auditions what kind of competition will this bring? Can it bring them together closer for pull them apart?
Being that this is the middle book in a series there is still so much more that I wanted to know more about that was left unsettled. I do think we get more insight to who Annie is though. I do love a book that will make you laugh with its humor. One stand out character is her neighbor Alex. He is a riot! He’s that guy best friend that will tell you like it is. You will enjoy this book if you are looking for something that you can read in one sitting and need a good laugh. I did and enjoyed it.
Not having read the first book in the series, this book picks up where I believe the first book did. Luckily, despite not reading the first one, I could keep up with what was happening with the characters and the storyline. Annie is a typical twenty-something, trying to figure out life and love. Her love life is somewhat of a mess, especially when her last foray into dating lead to her having sex in the bathroom of a karoke bar and then being left. But dancer Casey is there to try and prove to Annie that not every guy is like her sorta ex, Nate (the bathroom guy). Annie's very interested in Casey, but she's also scared of what might happen...especially with him currently touring. Then there is her audition for an American Idol type show, which leads to it's own set of worries about being good enough, etc.
Annie is a likable character. I just couldn't connect with her need to have her best friend validate everything for her (I'm not that type of person, so it wasn't a big mystery to me as to why I couldn't connect). But I could understand why she would doubt herself. Who of us hasn't, especially given what's she's been through. But she did begin to grow and trust in her decisions.
I liked Casey. He didn't let Annie's insecurities push him away. That's exactly what she needed. The other guys she had been with jumped ship the moment there was a slight hint of trouble. Casey stood his ground, talked with Annie and made sure she knew how he felt.
The story was cute and a quick read. The storyline was well paced and kept you entertained.
This is the sequel of Love in All the wrong places, as you know the book ended up really bad, Nate leaving Annie and she was going out with Casey but he was about to go on tour because he is a dancer and everything was not looking fine for her. And as usual I don’t do summary of the books thats why the synopsis is here so I will go straight with why I like this book
This book is really great one, you can see here how she is struggling between letting her insecurity of the past getting in the way of her present. But of course in order to be happy with everything that is around you: love and life, you need to heal and let the pass go, and that is what you will read, her forgiving people and moving forward, good things are happening to her in her personal life involving love and involving success.
I want to read the third book to know already how this is going to end, see her continuing being happy, with the guy she picked (read it!). I recommend you this book it is a good sequel, a healing one as I said involving not only love as you see everywhere but involving what a lot of people struggles to do in order to be happy. Forgive and let things go.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
When I finished Love In All the Wrong Places I felt like I needed to lecture Annie about Nate. In All the Right Things it picks up where book one left off and at times I was lecturing her in my head. Well actually there were several times in the book I was lecturing her in my head.
I liked the story and I liked the character development. As you could probably tell I was caught up in all her relationship issues and wanted to be her friend to talk her into making the right choices. The only critique I have is that the end of the story felt rushed to me. It lacked some of the details that were given earlier in the book. But, I loved Casey from the moment he scared her in her car and that only grew in this book. He is so sweet and sexy and the time they have together is HOT! However I have a feeling that there will be a lot more to the story in the next book. I can't wait to see how it all plays out.
Make sure to read the first book in this series Love in all the wrong places. Annie just doesn't seem to learn until she meets Casey... She runs into her ex that had made the choice to choose his ex girlfriend over Annie cause she is pregnant only to find out that the baby is not his and wants another chance with Annie. Annie finally realizes that she could do better and should be put first on a boyfriends priorities. She takes a chance to follow her dream and is selected as a final round contestant for a singing TV show. Along the way it seems she is meeting all kinds of interesting people (that also seem to take an interest in her). I am looking forward to Audrey's next book to find out if Annie wins the singing TV show and to see if Casey is really the right one for her. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
Let me start off by saying I loved All the Right Things, but I think I may love this one more. This series is following Annie while she is trying to figure out her personal and professional life.
So we start All the Right Things where Love in the Wrong Places takes off.
While continuing to get to know Casey other men are trying to come back in her life. While Annie must make some decisions on where her life will be heading she finally makes the choices to follow her dream. With her dream in sight will she follow her heart or will she let other factors cloud her judgement? I for one am glad she is also following her heart. I can not wait for the conclusion to Annie's story in The Winner Takes All....
Let me ask you this...what do you get when you follow your dreams?
Well, hopefully you get what you're looking for!
In book one: Love in All the Wrong Places, I felt like Annie didn't know what she wanted in life. She was just living her life, looking for a man to fill a void. In All the Right Things, things seem to be finally clicking for Annie and let me tell you, Casey can show me his dance moves in private ANY DAY!
I really enjoyed this book and happy that there will be a third book. I hope Annie follows her heart and chooses the guy that has always been there for her. Who knows what will happen once Annie gets to New York, but I'll be throwing my Kindle if there is no more Casey!
This books picks up where book one left us.... Casey going on your and wanting to start a relationship and Nate wanting to explain. I really like the premise for this book. We get to see more Casey. In the beginning, I was rooting for him when I was originally team Nate. I'm not so sure now. And Gabe from book one made his reappearance. I'm hoping maybe for a rekindle with him in the final book of this series this fall. I feel like he was put in a tough position and now he needs to redeem himself even though Annie gave him the brush off. This book has hot sex and a sexy back up dancer who can use his moves. There is also a side plot of a talent competition that she and Casey both made it through so I'm excited to see where that story line goes.
5 Stars If you have not read Love in All the Wrong Places (Love in LA, #1) you should read that book first.
This story continues where the last book left off with the text. You re-meet the men from book one Casey, Nate and Gabe. She needs to decide if any of them are worth the trouble they are putting her through.
A kind of side story is her talent competition she is involved in. Casey is also involved in the talent show but who will win?
Can she find the love she so wants? Can she find it with these men or should she keep looking?
Loved the laughs between her and Alex and glad she has someone who was there for her.
"All The Right Things" is about the results of online dating. In book one of the" Love in La" series, Annie ventures into online dating and in book 2 all the men she meets are now vying for her attention. Who will she choose?
I will admit I was disappointed in the first book when Annie resorted to drugs to douse her feelings of anxiety. There was no drug use in "All the Right Things" possibly because everything is going her way.
This is not one of my favorite series but it is definitely a page turner. I am going to continue to the final book in the series "The Winner Takes All" to find out what happens with Annie's love life and career.
I really love Audrey Harte and I love her characters. It was fantastic to continue to read Annie’s story. She is a little dynamo this one and Audrey has written her so that so many young women can relate to her. Casey is just swoony and I really do like him and he can dance for me any day!! Her characters are entertaining and real, I love Audrey's style of writing
The book continues perfectly from book one, it is well paced and well developed. I can’t wait to see where Annie goes in book three
I can`t believe I`m saying this but I *think* I like this book even more than Love in All the Wrong Places! I think the reason behind this is Annie. In this book she is more determined what she wants. And she goes for it. She wants to be happy! She goes after her drams. She also meets very handsome man named Casey. I really like him. A lot :)
I love this book so much, because not just I can relate to Annie, but characters are so lovable! I`ve enjoyed reading every page of this book! And cannot wait for the next one in the series!
Annie is finally finding herself and meets Casey, a professional dancer. Follow them as they explore a new relationship and the ups and downs that go with Casey being on tour with a pop star that wants him. Can their relationship survive her jealousy, or will they fall apart like all her other relationships. What happens when Gabe comes back into the picture? Will what he has to say to her change things with her and Casey? What happens when Annie and Casey try out for the same reality show? Find out in this awesome book!!!
This book was so much better than the first. I liked the All the Wrong Places but All the Right Things was just a great story. Annie has figured out what she wants and is going for it. It picks up with her and Casey still friends and spending time together but there are other guys that want her back in their lives too. She has to make a decision and stick to it. The story flows good and the characters great. Loved it
I loved reading more about Annie and the direction life was taking her. I truly am happy she is starting to take the leap and do something for HERSELF! She is an amazing character. And Casey.. whew boy mmm I'd love to get him on the dance floor any day of the week! :)
I looooooooved it...Annie is a cutie and Casey, ah, I'm totally in love with him. But I have a complaining question though: Why a good book always finishes when it is in its best part? I need more, like, yesterday =/
Loved this book more than I loved the first one, and I really loved the first one. Audrey Harte is a great author and if you haven't read any of her books....what is wrong with you? 5 stars all the way!!
Oh my gosh! I LOVED the sequel even more than the 1st one- do I really have to wait until fall for the next part?!?! This is a GOOD read that keeps you interested and entertained and SO ready for more!!!! Thank you Audrey Harte!!
A great second book although I felt it was a little on the short side. Funny to read about the unexpected people making a return in Annie's life. Looking forward to book 3!
I loved All The Wrong Places (book 1) and I think All the Right Things was even better!! Audrey Harte writes so that you can understand the characters and you feel right along with them. Loved it!!
I love this story. A very good second chapter in Annie's life, and she gets the ending we were hoping for. Read the first book in the series, it's short and sweet, too!
