She was vulnerable...Even the Witness Protection program couldn't hide Eden Kelley. When a dark and dangerous stranger blasted into her hideaway, she was imprisoned as much by the sorcery in his eyes as by the strength of his arms. But who was this man, and what did he want from her?
He was hell-bent on revenge...
Christian Tierney was a man with a mission. Two years ago, a mobster had ordered a hit on Eden Kelley, but Chris's wife, Catherine, had died in her place. Now Chris wanted vengeance, and he wanted justice. But did he want them more than he wanted to possess Eden?
Well it had a dangerous hero bent on revenge and wanting to use the heroine as bait. I didn't like him at first but he grew on me. Eden was a strong heroine, abandoned by all, she made a life for herself and business and gave it all up when she testified against her fiancee knowing her life would never be the same. An attempt was made in which Chris's wife died. Seventeen months later Chris has become a wild US Marshall, taking chances. He saved Eden and kidnaps her. What I liked Eden had spine and grit even shot and pushed to the limits she didn't give up. Chris was a jerk and I wanted to wring his neck at the start. But well Eden did find out that Chris's marriage wasn't a paradise as she had been thinking it was. Of course we have them seeing different facets of each other.
A dangerous man.....one with a past set on destruction of another for the death of his wife....he must save a witness to use as bait to catch the man he wants dead, but does the detective fall for the witness and is he willing to but her in harms way to settle this debt????
