Colton Lyon has kept his girl safely by his side. Kat Sloan is flourishing as they begin their life together. With that though Colt is protective because of her past and Kat is pushing back a bit wanting to be treated as his equal. To Colt she is his equal, his everything but as a man it is his duty to love, cherish, and protect. With enemies still waiting to be brought down, Colt's only objective is keeping Kat by his side and eliminating everyone in his wake.
I reread the first book because the reviews have been so good I thought I was missing something. Second time it is better, I will say that sometimes Kat shows her age. Colt is older and a dominant, you never have any doubt how much he loves her. I think this was better than the first book and leaves you wanting to continue on the series.

I'm a big fan of Jordan Silver. I love this series. I only review the story itself, I'm not an editor, so I don't care about the typos or forgetting commas. I love the forceful, possessive men. Have to read #1 first. Great read.

This is the second book in the Lyon Series by Jordan Silver. Colton Lyon has laid claim to Katarina and he’s taken care of the ghosts of her past. He proposes to Kat and gives her and his mom two months to plan the wedding.

It felt like some parts of the story was missing here.
It was an ok read and I am getting used to their crazy relationship. It's not great it's mostly sex with more sex.
The story was weak and the characters were very two dimensional.
Just ok.
2.5 stars. Can't say this one alone was good.
Ok now I understand you have to read the next book to understand this one.
Man this information would have been good before! So after that missing piece of the story makes sense of 4 stars.

I'm so glad to get this book although the first one didn't have a big cliffhanger I was still anxiously waiting for this one. It is so good to see Kat and Colton again, maybe more Colton then Kat lol. He's still as sweet as ever, "hi baby you almost done, it's almost lunch." He loves his woman, and he talks about her fondly, or maybe thinks about her, "I held her hand as Stacy started on her back; my baby is just a little bit squeamish when it comes to needles, something she hadn't shared with me until lately." He's also really bossy (more than usual) "what the eff...Katarina which part of what I just said did you not get; this is not up for discussion I have s*** to do you're going where I put you end of story." I love this book more then the first one probably because of all the different point of views we get to see.

I enjoyed this 2nd book better than I did the 1st.
I followed the flow of this book better than in the first and it definitely held my attention more. However, I am still only giving it 3.5 stars. Why? Well, let me explain:
1) Our heroine is a weeeeeee bit on the young side of how she acts. To the point it's annoying. Now, when you're in her head, she's not annoying, but when your on the outside looking in, her demeanor is a little immature to the point it's like her inner 15 year old pops out with all the "squeeling" and "jumping" she's doing. Then there's the pouting. She also calls one of the new side characters CyCy instead of Cy or Cyrus and it just makes me cringe.
2) There's so much build up that danger's a-comin', however, no danger comes until like the last 10% of the book. I HATE when this happens. What good is it to be telling me about this over-protective, hot alpha male when he's got no reason to be that way! I want action baby!
3) There was a little bit of a, shall we say, "overboardness", that this author brought on in the whole, "mark my woman" territory. Yeahhh.......um.....weird. A butterfly? *clears throat* Ummmm.... ????
So what did I like? Well, obviously this wonderfully possessive man. The sex scenes where also amazing. I loved them! (Insert Kindle idea of attached massager here)
I do feel like the ending was a little rushed, because, well it just ended and then had an epilogue with a "surprise" in it and I would have liked more info to at least that build up, but, hey, once again, we can't have it all! (though it looks like there is a novella of this)
So, it was a good follow up to the first. I liked reading about the characters again and overall this is more of just a fun read. Don't go into it looking for something meaningful and deep, just read it for fun and you'll do okay.

2.5 for trying.... This second book makes me question why I liked the first book... the alpha male is all about marking her with tattoos and piercing and he is horny as hell that every time she sees her do something, he thinks of her vagaygay... gah! The female, I thought at first, why is she acting like a teenager, that's cause she is! I know it's just a book but it's more like a self indulgent book...

It was a little scattered, editing issues. The first book Lyon's Crew (The Lyon) was confusing because of the switching povs. All the loose ends are tied up- the rossettis, the businesses, Lyon and Kat's HEA- Lyon showed his typical male side with the baby girl issue though. Lyon being such an alpha, thinks he can't do anything with a girl, but she ends up wrapped around his little finger.

This book was a better read then the 1st book but it does time hop very fast and feel rushed.
It was nice to read how Colton and Katarina become engaged, married and have a child even though it was a very short time. Apparently she became pregnant after 1 month after their first time just didn't know till many months later.
This book is great for the sex scenes bc honestly the relationship is mostly about the sex. But the story line is very rushed. The immaturity in Katarina gets annoying but she is only 18/19 yrs old.

This book picks off right where the last one left off. Lyon is much more of the dominate ass in this book but Kat feeds off of that and becomes her own person by it. The pair get engaged and plan their wedding fielding any repercussions from the previous books events. There are sections of long monologue from both Lyon and Kat which are basically each other justifying their own attitude which I kinda skipped over but again a good read.

So I accidentally binge read through two of these books before realizing I had my hands on the full series in one 😂 But this second one was rough. The spicy parts were plentiful but the wording and dynamics between characters gave me the ick. That’s probably just me. Aside from that, the plot was basically all told through exposition. It seemed much more poorly written to me than the first book tbh.

Just as swoons as the first with Colton being so freaking cute but hot at the same time. I was a bit confused why the edition I was reading had Kat being called Isabella more then once but it may have been just my copy. Other then that I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to see what is next for the couple!

Kat and Lyon have sealed the deal and has pledged their lives to each other, but an enemy is out to take that from him. Will Lyon be able to get to Kat in time and will they continue on to get their happily ever after? This segment in the Lyon's series is intriguing with characters hell bent on creating chaos to break him and Kat apart!

I truly love this book series!!! I Still think that these books are not the same as before, i can tell the difference... I still be to read the of books before you changed them.. The old books had why more detail and were alot more juicer too... But i still like them...

So so read. Typical J.S read with tons of unbelievable sex and lots of borderline crazy controlling behaviour from Lyon. Kinda dragged on until the last 10 or 15 pages when everything was glossed over at mach speed.

The best most notable thing of this book was the FIL Doctor who’s a pothe@d. I just loved every scene with him in it. Otherwise the book was meh, just like part one. Off to read part three. Good luck.

Jordan is amazing in the way she webs her stories together! I love that Eden High, The Seals, Mancini, Mouth all come together in each other's story for something that is greater! I can't wait for the saga to continue and see where it takes us..
