Can you say DRAMA?

Well, I'm not sure how I feel about this book right now. Did I enjoy... Yes. Was it almost over the top... Definitely

SOME SPOILERS AHEAD

I like Brady, Tori, Tug, Liv and even Harrison, but I'm thinking maybe there was too much drama for these characters.

Baby tragedy
Dealing w/ suicide
Cheating
Cheating with "the love of your life's" brother
Getting pregnant--but who is the daddy?
Child you never knew you had at the front door
MORE baby drama
Oh by the way, I not only own a billion dollar company, I'm a rock star too

Yikes! I love angst, drama and sitting in the front seat of an emotional roller coaster, but this one was getting a little to much to believe. It's just too hard to believe you can sleep with two brothers, get pregnant, have to take a paternity test to find out who the daddy is, and still sit down to dinner with the whole family and everything be ok.

All that said, I did like the book-just felt a little "much" at times.

*** ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review***

HOLY CRAP!!!! Talk about emotional roller coaster!! Just as a fair warning you might want to keep some tissues handy, this time not just for happy love notes from Brady. You also might want to prepare yourself for some yelling. In my case there there were some STOPS!!! and NOs!!!! and NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! A few others but I'll let you figure those out while you read it yourself. After IB and learning who Brady's parents really are and then Sheila's suicide, I thought there wouldn't be anything or anyone that could come between Brady and Tori. Their love is so strong and amazing they can make it through anything, and anyone right? The things they are put through in Irreversible Damage could be more than even their love can survive. You thought that there were shockers in the first book, well Ms. Bell saved plenty for us in this one. And then there is Tug... Oh Tug, all grown up and wearing suits, running a company. I am so looking forward to his book! In the meantime I am going to be thankful that I have a great case on my e-reader (there may have been a point I threw it into the couch like it was on fire because I was afraid to keep reading for fear of what was going to happen) I am also hoping my voice comes back, from yelling at them (seriously, why don't they listen?) and the crying (don't worry there were happy tears too). It was all worth it and will be when I re-read it again, and again. Thank you KJ Bell for giving us more of Brady and Tori's story! I really wish these sites would allow us to give more than Five stars, five just doesn't seem like enough!

Sooooo FREAKIN' GOOD!!! Tug, Brady, Liv... Need I say more!!! LOVE IT❤️❤️ Can't wait for you all to read what happens next!!!! Darn you K J Bell for the book hangover you gave me!!!

You know how sometimes you have anticipated the follow-up to an amazing book so badly that you are a little disappointed once you finish reading said follow-up…. Well this is NOT one of those times!!! Irreversible Damage by K J Bell was an INCREDIBLE follow-up to Irreparably Broken! Honestly, couldn't put it down. The story takes off right from the get go and I couldn't get enough. Make sure you have your Irreversible Damage survival kit ready to go! Be sure to have a fan, kleenex and a stiff drink on hand ;-)

I had no idea where the story would go in Irreversible Damage, I didn't think there could be anything more damaging to the characters in this story but I was so wrong. This book gutted me at times and I promise you will feel the same way too! If your heart doesn't ache at times while reading Irreversible Damage you have zero feelings! But it wasn't all heart ache, not at all. There was plenty of sexy steamy romance, enough to melt a Kindle screen ;-) The brilliant characters I fell in love with in the first book are back again and I am just as in love with them now! Although I am sure that there are a few of you who will give K J Bell an earful when you are done reading, LOL!

Irreversible Damage is an amazing follow up and I am dying for more of this series! I promise that you will be taken on one heck of an emotional ride and I promise you that it will be worth it!

ARRRGGHHHHH!!

Ok. So I feel a bit like the odd one out after seeing mostly 5 star reviews but I was a little disappointed.

I loved the first book, though I was annoyed with Tori's attitude over kissing Tug. This time, I'm disgusted with her. I wanted to see her with Tug. I love Tug. But irrespective of opinions of him, he really doesn't deserve how he's been treated. He's head over heels for this girl. First book, she kisses him but then chooses Brady. This book, she sleeps with him. Chooses Brady. Not only is she unbelievably selfish but she's also cruel. I wanted the baby to be his, I really really wanted it to be his.

As for Brady, I admit, I'm not a huge fan. I feel for him, a lot of betrayal in his life but I don't feel like I'm rooting for him at all.

I hope the author has some major happiness in store for Tug when he gets his book. He really deserves it. I'm interested what she has in store and look forward to it.

Things are going really well for Brady and Tori. They're happy and looking forward to the birth of their daughter. It seems that there is nothing that could ever take away the, much deserved, joy in their lives. Tragedy befalls them however and they both start checking out of the relationship. After a huge surprise from Brady's past is revealed, Tori decides to move to Minnesota with her parents. As she finally starts to pick up the pieces of her life, she realizes that Brady is doing the same thing. As much as it hurts, she is just happy that he has everything that he wants. Eventually she realizes that things aren't always what they appear to be, and all that she can hope is that one reckless decision doesn't completely ruin her own happiness.
'How could I have been so blind? For months I felt like my life wasn't worth living, when the person I needed to fulfill me was right in front of me, waiting for me to reach out to him'

This book was completely devastating. In the best way possible. The things that the characters go through were more than life altering. They were experiences that reach into your soul and rip it to pieces. After everything that had happened in Irreparably Broken I had thought that the worst was behind them. I was completely mistaken. The events in that book were just a small taste of the worst experiences that a person can have. Through everything they are able to continue to persevere and grow stronger for all of it.
"Tori, I won't live without you again." He's breathless, panting against my mouth. "Promise me you'll never leave me again"

There were times in this book that I had not only a emotional response to the events unfolding but a physical one. One scene, in particular, made me sick to my stomach. There are not many books that can make me feel that kind of hurt. It was AMAZING! As a parent I am not sure how Tori and Brady were able to continue doing anything after the things that happened to them. I'm not saying that I was happy with the decisions that either of them made throughout the majority of the book, but I was impressed with their ability to carry on.
"No one else fucks you." He tugs my hair gently, moving my head to the side to expose my neck. "Because you're mine." He gently bites my neck.
"Oh, God. Yes!" I cry out, ready to burst. It's too intense. I taste tears in my mouth.
With another gentle pull of my hair, my head turns toward him. "Say it!"
With our mouths nearly touching, I whisper, "I'm yours.

While this book was Brady and Tori's story and my heart completely shattered for them, in the end all I could think about was Tug. He was just so NOT the Tug we met in Irreparably Broken. After witnessing his mothers suicide and his unrequited love for Tori he is a mere shell of the person that he was. He is so self-destructive and in so much pain it was palpable. I could almost feel the pain pouring out of the pages. I can not wait for his story, Irrevocable Trust.
'Our family is the epitome of dysfunctional. Despite that, I'm thrilled they've made up. I love the two of them differently, but equally. Coming between them was taking a toll on me.'

Review

This was the perfect follow up and conclusion for Brady and Tori’s story. There was so much to it that I was never sure where this story would lead. I laughed, cried, yelled at my kindle and had my kids asking me what was wrong. I screamed “Noooos and Yesssss” and got angry at times, but it was all worth it! This book was so much more intense then I had anticipated! Every one of the characters grew in this story. They became adults and I enjoyed the transition into that.

At time’s Brady had me yelling at him. I didn’t always agree how he handled situation. I needed him to get his stuff together. As the story continued I sympathized more with his actions but I was irritated with him at times. However I’m still totally “Team Brady” and totally pleased with the man he became. Proof that the bad boy can become the man you’d want as your own.

Tori became such a strong woman. The things she had to live through would’ve crushed me! I felt for her, I cried for her. I had to put the book down sometimes just to compose myself enough to continue. Her only flaw was not confronting some things head on. I feel like I wanted to stand up and say things for her that she wouldn’t say. I’m glad her story ended up the way it did.

As with Irreparably Broken there is such a strong since of family with all the characters. I truly love that about this story. These characters love each other and are there for each other. I wish I had a Liv in my life.

As for Tug, his character really changed in this story. Without giving too much away I was happy with what happened as well as how things ended up. He definitely wasn’t a kid any more. I think of him as a man trying to find his way and move on. I’m so anxious for his story and seeing where his story takes him.

I love Bell’s writing and how she really gets you wrapped up into these characters lives. I will always be a fan of her work and I’m anxious for anything else she releases. Well Done!

~~5++++++++++++HEARTS~~

WOW! What an AMAZING read. Once I started, I could not put this book down. If you haven’t read Irreparable Broken then I advise you to read that book before Irreversible Damage .

5 stars don’t do this book justice. This is a phenomenal sequel. KJ Bell pulled all kind of emotions out of me with this book. I was crying (ugly cry). I was mad (A LOT) and I was happy, & sad. I feel like I have emotional whiplash (if there’s such a thing). My heart dropped to my stomach a few times throughout the book. There was one point in the book (I think it was around 50%) I was so upset; I was on GR doing status updates with every other paragraph I was reading. There was also moments when I had to compose myself because I was getting so upset with the situation.

I was so sad for Tori. She went through a life shattering, turn your world upside down, life changing tragic event and it seemed like she had no one to turn to. Brady distances himself, not sure on how to approach the situation and try to fix it. Tori felt like she didn’t belong anymore. She felt like she was a distraction. Depression showed its ugly face and took over and causes Tori to withdraw from everyone around her. She feels like the people around her has moved on and has forgotten about her and the tragic event, but Tori can NEVER forget. Unable to cope with her tragedy she decides to move to her parents in Minnesota.

Brady is left heartbroken and alone and he throws himself into his music. His career takes off and Tori feel like she’s been left behind. Tori tries to move on and live, somewhat, of a normal life with work and going back to school. Well she doesn’t get to experience normal for long because after a chance run in with Tug, Tori’s life gets thrown back into the emotional rollercoaster. You WILL NOT be disappointed with this series. With all the emotional whiplash it was well worth the ride. I can’t wait for book 3!!!!!

I have been impatiently waiting for this book since Irreparably Broken ended. I even tried to get some info out of KJ in Vegas and she would only give me the bare minimum to only leave me hanging, while giving me that evil grin of hers. So as soon as I got the ARC in my hands, I just had to dive right into it. I lost a lot of sleep that night and I was a walking zombie at work the next day, but it sure as hell was worth it. KJ did an amazing job with Irreversible Damage. I loved it a lot better than Irreparably Broken. KJ was able to take me on the rollercoaster ride of emotions with each of the characters. I felt every single one of them. Even the ones I didn’t want to feel, I felt. The book was completely unpredictable, it had me at the edge of my seat the entire time. I kid you not I was not able to put the book down. I was fully obsessed.

Brady and Tori were dealing with a past that completely broke them both and they were learning how to move on from it together. With a baby on the way, they had to leave the past behind and move on. They were both living in Mexico, along with Liv and Harrison, Brady’s sister (also Tori’s BFF) and boyfriend. They seem to be happier than ever. Sometimes it is still hard for Brady to accept what Sheila had done to them all, but Tori is there to reassure him that it’s over and she can’t hurt them anymore. Tori has even helped Brady with his fears and Brady is now the lead singer of his band and they are doing great. Singing is a passion of his and it is clear to anyone who can see it. She has been nothing but supportive to him and is always by his side, even as pregnant as she is. The spark that they feel for each other still burns. And damn those pregnancy hormones! They’re hot for each other! Hot damn! It is clear that they love each other. Brady adores Tori completely. He doesn’t want to hurt her ever and always puts her needs first.
"My heart beats for you, don't ever doubt that." He says the words like he knows exactly where my thoughts had taken me. ~ Brady
When a devastating tragedy strikes, Tori shuts down and Brady distances himself. He doesn’t know how to be there for her. Thinking she needs time, he gives her space. Instead, giving her the illusion that she’s a distraction. He focuses all his time and energy on his band. Tori doesn’t know how to cope with it. She feels alone and is completely depressed. Brady has shut down on her. She doesn’t know what to do with herself, she has nothing left for her life in Mexico besides Brady and he doesn’t seem to want to be with her anymore. No one knows how to help her. She contemplates the idea of going back home to her parents. When a blast from Brady’s past comes back into the picture. She wants back in and she will stop at nothing till she gets Brady back. What Tori sees take place proves to be the last straw and sends her packing back home.

With Tori back at her parents, she’s getting her life back together. She’s back in school and she has a job. Not a day goes by that she does not think of Brady, but she must go on living life without him. She hasn’t heard from him since she left. He hasn’t come chasing after her. He must’ve moved on. Brady’s singing career took off and every minute of his time gets consumed by that. He’s famous and can have any girl he wants. Not a second goes by that he doesn’t think of Tori and the regrets he has. He should’ve gone after her, but he let the very best thing in his life walk right on out.

When Tori has a chance meeting with Tug, memories from the past come flooding in. After a little convincing, they go out to dinner. However, to loosen up some, they have a little too much to drink and one thing leads to another. When the one thing irreversible happens. We all know that Tug has always loved Tori, but Tori’s heart always belonged to Brady’s. But what happens when old memories come back, when you’re feeling vulnerable, and when you just want to feel again? There’s no turning back but how can you move forward?

Tori is faced with another tough decision. Can she give Tug the love that he wants from her? Or will her heart always belong to Brady? Or will this night be a night full or regrets for her? Will Brady realize that Tori is what makes him truly happy and go after her? Can Brady and Tori have another chance together? Will Brady be able to forgive Tug and Tori for what happened between the two of them? Will everyone be able to get past all this and move on? Will everyone finally be happy?

I absolutely loved this book! I’m going to be completely honest and say that you’re going to need some tissues while reading this book. KJ does toy with your emotions with this one. You never know what she will do. My heart broke for Tori. No one should have to go through the pain that she went through. Brady was amazing with her. I loved him for that. He just didn’t know how to deal with his own emotions on the situation as well. He was so used to bottling everything inside and shutting everyone out. When Brady shut down, my heart broke for him. It’s like when the tragedy occurred they both just gave up and no one fought for them. I wanted them so badly to be together. After all they had been through, they both deserved true happiness. I loved the fact that they can count on their family and friends whenever they needed them. Amazing job KJ. I can’t wait for Tug’s book. Write a little faster please.

for great book reviews, new release updates, giveaways and more!!

When the opportunity arose to review Irreversible Damage I jumped at it - even shuffling my TBR list so I could get to it sooner. I couldn't wait to venture back into the lives of Tori and Brady having just loved the start of their relationship in Irreparably Broken. K.J. Bell has a beautiful, beautiful writing style and the family of characters she has created are the sort of people you would love to surround yourself with, even if it is only possible in an imaginery world for a short time.

I had anticipated the next story from K.J. Bell may have focussed on Tug or Liv, but in Irreverisble Damage we get more of Tori and Brady. They are in the 'honeymoon' stage of their relationship - blissfully happy and in love with baby Mona on the way. The intensity and depth of their love simply radiates off the pages as you read and for me there was this complete sense of 'rightness' about their relationship. Of course when things are so right it is almost inevitable that something will happen to test the relationship and that is definitely the case in this story.

I actually had to walk away from my kindle a couple of times - not able to continue reading because I was absolutely shattered by the direction the story had taken. Unless you are an absolute ice queen you will need tissues handy when you read this. The tragedy that occurs is devastating and both Tori and Brady are helpless to prevent it. As the two come to grips with what has occurred they drift apart and Tori makes a huge decision to return to her parents home in an effort to try and clarify her feelings. Thrown into the mix is someone from Brady's past that brings a lasting change to their lives.

Despite having to put the book down I couldn't stop thinking about the story, the characters and what was happening for all of them. I loved Tug in the first book, but I can't say I felt the same way about him this time around. There was a change to his character, brought about by a whole range of things, that I just couldn't warm to. While Tori was primarily responsible for the decision she made that had significant consequences for everyone I couldn't help but question Tug's choice as well. There was a time when he wouldn't have allowed Tori to decide as she did and I was incredibly disappointed that he didn't try and influence her more. Having said that I could understand why he made the choices he made and did feel some sympathy for him. There is a teaser for K.J.'s next book at the end of Irreversible Damage and it will be Tug's story - which I will definitely be picking up.

I think one of the key messages in Irreversible Damage is to not let small things get in the way of your relationships with those that are important to you. I absolutely loved the messages from Gabe:
"You're blessed to have each other. Life's short. Spend every minute you can together"

"... before you decide you can't forgive her, ask yourself if you want to live without her. We're only here for a short time man. Don't waste it."

His own choices in life had cost him dearly and yet instead of letting those make him bitter, he was definitely a loving, generous person with a very philosophical outlook and I think Tori and Brady were lucky to have him in their lives.

K.J. Bell has done an amazing job with this story. She has created drama, heartache and successfully entwined a level of happiness for the characters that might be exhausting (dare I say frightening) to read, but is incredibly satisfying. If you read Irreparably Broken you should definitely pick up Irreversible Damage. I loved it and will definitely watch for anything further released by K.J. Bell.

I. Loved. This. Book! TONS! After reading Irreparably Broken, I could not wait for this book. I was crossing my fingers and hoping that it would capture my heart as much as the first one did. I’m going to have to admit that author KJ Bell… NAILED IT! omGAH! Love love loved it! It was a beautifully-written, emotion-packed story that had me finding it difficult to put down. Fantastic follow-up to Irreparably Broken!

I fell so much in love with the characters in the first book. I didn’t think it was possible to love them more than I already did – WRONG! They are so well-developed and full of depth. You could easily visualize them, feel their pain/happiness, and you can’t help but feel like you know them personally. They are real. It’s as if they step off the pages.

Tori – Still beautiful, still so in love with Brady. She runs into obstacle after obstacle, yet nothing or no one can destroy their love.

“I want him to stay right here with me in his arms because it is here that I realize exactly how perfect he is for me. There’s no one else in this vast world who can help me overcome my pain. He completes me.”

Brady – Still sexy, still romantic, and still a dreamy, swoon-worthy BBF that I can’t stop thinking about. Days later, he is still on my mind and in my heart.

“I’m taking you to be, and I’m going to make love to you, and tomorrow you’re going to wake up knowing just how much you mean to me.”

Tug – My oh my…Tuggy! Brady's hot, younger brother. Not so much the sweet & funny Tug anymore. A little bit more badass I'd say! And sexy? Hell yes. I so badly want him to be happy, but he wants what he can’t have. My heart broke for him so many times. :(

“Relax, pretty girl. Honestly, I am happy for you. I told you, I’ll take you any way I can. Even as my friend.”

I seriously had to stop quite a few times to give myself a mental break and to give my heart a rest. And at one point, I had a tissue held to my eye for quite a few pages, because the tears wouldn't stop coming. So emotional, so touching, so frickin’ incredible! It didn’t surprise me that I had a book hangover when I finished. I actually expected it because of how good this book is. I couldn't think about reading anything else right away. My heart and my mind were still reeling from the emotional roller coaster ride I had just experienced. It is now three days since I finished - and I still haven't started reading another book.

This author’s writing style is the kind I really enjoy reading. The story flows nicely, it’s easy to follow along, and makes you crave more. I'm a details-kinda-girl (love 'em...need 'em), and this book has ‘em. And I must add, the steamy sex scenes are tastefully written and downright delicious! It's also written in alternating POVs (which I love!), so you’re able to know exactly how the characters are feeling and what's going on in their head. Perfect!

KJ Bell has been added to my list of ‘Rock Star Authors’ and I will continue to read her books.

I would, and will recommend this book to others! Irreversible Damage gets FIVE beautiful, gut-wrenching, passionate stars from me!

I loved this book even though it was rough and painful at times. There is a point with the character of Tori that you just think "Can she take anymore"? I mean I felt so bad for her and her circumstances. I did like that she involved her parents in this book. I thought that was an added bonus.
I will say without warning there are a few twisting details that made my head spin uncontrollably! There was also a part where I wanted to drink copious amounts of alcohol. It was totally loaded with drama!

The Brady and Tori relationship takes so awful beatings but they are worth it in the end. I know you will appreciate the author for doing what not many do. Make the scenario and do the bad thing. Just for instance and not relating to this book, but someone named A meets B in a bar and they hook up, A gets pregnant- what normally happens is A has the baby. In my world I hate that and sometimes I say cant someone decide that they want an abortion or adoption? Its the hard choice, but many people do it. NOW this author take Tori and Brady and MAKES THE HARD CHOICE!! That is why I totally loved her. People need to take notice that all books are not written for the readers to be happy. I mean Tiffay R wrote about a priest for the love of GOD. Whether you are a fan or not there really aint too many priests tangled up in BDSM.

I say this plot is a the candidate for most angst riddled in my life! Sometimes you want the dark and difficult plot to come alive and this my dears is dark and boy was it alive!

I really wanted more of Tug, so book 3 stars no other than TUG! Im thrilled and cant wait to get to it!. I will ALSO add that characters and plots like this deserve a lot of attention. I want some for Liv! I say this because she is a character with some spunk. That is the thing I adored about her. So for the books, they are wonderful, not for everyone I will admit, but there is so much to love if you are an angst lover like me.

This book should be titled 'DYSFUNCTIONAL DRAMA' <--- yes all in capital letters.

Holy, never have i read a book with a constant CHAOS and HEARTBREAK. At roughly 40%, 50%, 80% and 90% life continues to deals Tori and Brady a very unfortunate hand - it wasn't until 98% that i felt i took a 'deep' breathe and finally wiped my tears.

I was a little bit disappointed by the lack of 'finality' given ALL that went on- i'm a greedy epilogue snob, i know. However, i assume this was owing to the fact tug's story will provide all the clarity the ending failed to provide.

On that note, I decided not to read Tug's teaser at the end, as i have a feeling his book is going to be even more emotionally heartbreaking than the first two of the series.

Anyways, not at all what i was expecting from #2 but it completley lived up to all my expectations :)

KJ Bell is defiantly one of the best writers i've come across this year!

*btw, looking at the cover i don't really understand why the guitar was chosen to symbolise the story? I get the rotting part, but of all things that could have been used, this would not have been my first thought.....anyone else agree?

I read this for Hooked On Books

I loved this book. I had not read the first book, but it didn’t make that much difference, as the back story was explained enough to get the gist.
Brady & Tori are getting on with their lives, their past behind them, a baby on the way & Brady’s music coming along, life could not be better.
Until tragedy strikes.
Tori can’t cope, so moves back to Minnesota to be with her parents, leaving Brady heartbroken.
Brady immerses himself in his music & his career takes of in a big way. Has he left Tori Behind?
When Tori has a chance run in with Tug, Brady’s brother, she finally makes a decision.
Is Tori & Brady’s love for each other be strong enough to survive everything that is thrown at them.
The chemistry between Tori & Brady is amazing, they sizzle. The rest of the cast really compliment each other.
I laughed & cried hard. The raw emotion in this book is very strong.
I cannot wait for book 3 & have just gone & bought book 1

I have been waiting for what feels like FOREVER for this book! The Hunter family, including Tori, are the epitome of dysfunctional but somehow KJ Bell makes it all work without unnecessary drama and in such a way that your heart aches and smiles through every amazing step.

If you read my review of Book 1 (Irreparably Broken) you will know how much love I feel for these two main characters, Brady and Tori. These two can seriously make a mess of any situation but the love they have for one another seems to know no bounds. Until a tragedy strikes that not one of us would want to ever endure.

Wow!! I'm not even sure I can fully express how this book made me feel! I have read a lot of books and NEVER has one made me cry!! This one did. It is such an emotion packed, happy, loving, gut wrenching, funny, heart breaking in one story!
Brady is sexy and sweet despite his childhood. If you thought he was sexy in the first book, look out! Tori is so much stronger than she realizes! They complete each other. And their romance is off the chart!!! You must read this and find out how their story continues!!

This book was such an emotional read. I laughed, I cried, I was so pissed at one point I wanted to throw my nook! But then she turned it around and I was happy with the outcome. Brady and Tori are put through the ringer in this book and I was feeling it right there with them. I can't wait for book 3 and Tug's story! Great book KJ! :)
