A very good short read. The story, plot and the characters were very well done. This has a lot of action, tons of shootings, a little sadness but plenty of emotions. Young Jim losses his dad and has nothing left..... along comes a guy out of nowhere when he is digging is dads final resting place. Jim and Tom hook up and life takes a major change for Jim. Poor Jim even goes through his first love, which is very sweet. I really enjoyed this as it was also very fresh, hope you will too.

A favorite

I'm usually not big on westerns however this one captured and sucked me in. Van Holt is now one of my favorites. As is this book. I hope to see a sequel to the legend of Jim Nester and a back story on Prichard

Good traditional western. The characters were interesting but mot too well defined. I enjoyed the book but it was nothing special.
