Crypto-Squad: The Collection

Rate this book
Join our favorite covert government organization of mythic creatures as they save the world from a host of supernatural threats. Enter the world of the Crypto-Squad in the first three books in the series and see what happens when they face off against a cult of snake-worshiping zombies, The Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, and a band of undead werewolves.

Crypto-Squad 1: As a boy, Marcus Tillman dreamed of being a sideshow barker, but never in his wildest dreams could he have imagined the kind of freak show he would work in one day. When the dead begin to rise from their graves and tear apart the very fabric of civilization, a special government-sponsored strike team known as the Crypto-Squad is created, and Tillman is put in charge. Comprised of beasts that are the stuff of rumor and legend, the Crypto-Squad’s mission is to eradicate a group of doomsday cultists who refer to themselves as The Unending. Refusing to accept defeat and determined to save those who are left alive, Tillman mobilizes this ragtag band of misfits, realizing that they are the world’s last remaining hope. Led by the Mothman, the Crypto-Squad is made up of El Chupacabra, The Jersey Devil, Sasquatch from various tribes, Mongolian Death Worms, and more. As the legions of undead march across country, devouring what remains of America, the lives of millions rest in the hands of this dangerous group of rogue beasts. Eric S. Brown and Jason Brannon’s Crypto-Squad is a mix of monsters, covert operatives, cultists, and the undead. This is the zombie apocalypse as you’ve never experienced it before!

Crypto-Squad 2: The Crypto-Squad assembles and mobilizes against a global threat when The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse began to wreak havoc in every corner of the world. This is a battle royale of freakish proportions that pits Sasquatch, Mothman, El Chupacabra, and a host of other strange creatures against Death, Famine, Pestilence, and War in a showdown where earth is the prize.

Crypto-Squad 3 (Dead Wolves): The Crypto-Squad face off against a pack of undead wolves that lay siege to a small Southern town. Inner turmoil and a traitorous mole within the group threaten to tear the Squad apart. Will the Squad self-destruct or will they root out the source of their betrayal and triumph over the forces that hold sway in the town of Sparks, Texas? Picking up where Crypto-Squad 2 leaves off in the aftermath of the battle with The Chozen, Crypto-Squad 3 shows the group at their best...and at their worst.

Features: Mothman, Agent Ness, El Chupacabra, legions of Sasquatch troops, Jack Bunny Bam-Bam, The Farr Clan from "A Pack of Wolves," The Lizard King, and many more cryptids, creatures, and characters!

Move over, Avengers, we’ve got a new superpowered squad in town…
Unlike a lot of other cryptid fiction, Crypto-Squad shows these fabled creatures as allies to humanity, but that’s not to say all of them are necessarily benevolent. I quite liked the mixture of beastly and intelligent ones.
This book has it all, from sasquatches to undead werewolves to a Mothman who has quite literally lived since Biblical times (and is also named after a legendary musician.) I’m someone who loves both monsters and nonstop action, so this was an easy 5 star from me.
If only we could have seen Ness in her monster form a bit more!
