Better than book 4
Book 5 is an improvement over book 4, however, it still has issues. I marked some typos, had to skip some paragraphs as they ran on and on without adding anything to the story. Quite a bit seemed repetitive verbage and descriptions to fill space, add to the pages and word count . Again, an improvement over book 4. I have kept reading, as I've read other books by this author and thoroughly enjoyed those books.

exciting and unreal
Lan and Sophie are fighting the gods and trying to save the Raven Queen and her lands and get rid of the dread. There is an emerald exile
That the Karla are going toward. Lan gets more power , Sophie learns
To use more of her powers. What will come next.

Very hard to finish this.
So much vague imagery. Seeming to double speak when characters have internal conversations. Took many attempts to complete this book.

Loved this one
I wish it didn't take so long for Lan and Sophie to even come up with a slight understanding to move the story forward but a good book just the same.
