As I'm going through the Armored Core series, this was a fun snacky aside. It's a fun idea of how to quantify things like the Raven's Nest, the Arena, and just how the AC world functions for pilots. That said, some of the action gets a bit muddy, and I often lost track of who's AC was who's during certain fights. A simple story with fun giant robot fights and the appropriate amount of drama.

Never knew there was a manga based on the Armored Core games until just recently. It's a very short one-shot manga. The world, story, and mechs were were faithful to the game series, which I am a huge fan of. The story has elements of The Ravens mercenary organization, and The Arena from the game. Other than that it's a fairly standard mech/Gundam type story. There's a Newtype human 2.0 character and lots of one on one battles. Explosions galore. Good for a mech fix, and really good if you're a fan of the series.
